Ji Weitian’s words had cast a heavy atmosphere in the laboratory.

Everyone there was smart.

So things didn’t need to be fully articulated, a slight ntion was enough for everyone to understand.

Originally, it was difficult for Re Group to compete with them due to their ti lead advantage. As long as they successfully achieved their objectives and launched the product first, even if Re Group subsequently ca out with a similar product and introduced it to the market, it would only be seen as a copy in the public’s eyes.

However, if Re Group managed to get ahead of them, the situation would be completely different...

The stakes were clear to all.

Instantly, all traces of joy vanished from everyone’s faces.

Once Wang Xi’s issue was resolved, everyone imdiately returned to their respective positions in the lab, burying themselves in their work.

When Qin Nanyu arrived at the lab, it was bustling with activity.

He stood at the door and looked around without disturbing anyone, then turned to find Ji Weitian in the data room.

Ji Weitian was also busy, seated at her desk.

Busy organizing experintal data.

Each experint required a trendous amount of data support, so calculated and so drawn from references left by predecessors.

Though Ji Weitian was not directly involved in the experints, she still beca a major support for the lab, organizing the most potentially useful data to save them ti.

When Qin Nanyu entered, she was bowing her head, flipping through a set of mathematical formulas, murmuring as if doing ntal calculations, and occasionally using her fingers to gesture on the desk...

Her focused expression made her seem completely isolated from the world.

In her brain, in her heart, in her eyes, there was only the data before her.

Qin Nanyu stood at the doorway, one hand in his pocket, his tall fra as steady as a pine, unmovable.

From a short distance, he observed Ji Weitian, fully engrossed in her work.

A serious woman is the most charming.

The current Ji Weitian was srizing, making it impossible to look away, only wanting to keep gazing at her...

Until Ji Weitian finished organizing her materials and looked up to take them to the lab, only to find soone standing at her office door, staring intently at her, startling her almost to the point of screaming!

Clutching the materials, she stumbled backward, nearly hitting the desk.

She held her chest, still shaken.

"You, you, why are you standing there silently?"

Qin Nanyu didn’t answer her question, instead he stepped forward, took the materials from her hands, and helped her up from leaning against the desk.

He spoke calmly.

"Born in the year of the rat? So timid."

"..." He was the one born in the year of the rat; see how he would react being startled like that.

Ji Weitian murmured inwardly, then thought it pointless to argue about this.

She wouldn’t dare to scare Qin Nanyu like that; if it angered him and he decided to deal with her on the spot, the loss would outweigh the gain.

Understanding one’s limitations was most crucial.

Courage was good, but blind courage was a death wish.

Isn’t it better to stay alive?

Ji Weitian glanced at him, took back her materials, and turned to walk out the door.

At the doorway, she rembered sothing, turned back to Qin Nanyu, "If you’re not too busy right now, could you please issue Wang Xi’s clarification announcent first? Although the lab mbers aren’t affected by this matter, Wang Xi still has to face other students and teachers, and I’m worried about him being targeted again if he continues to carry this stigma."

Qin Nanyu initially intended to go with her to the lab, but upon hearing this, he suddenly pulled out a chair and sat down.
