"Mm," Ji Weitian instinctively responded.
Subconsciously, she wanted to ask him when he might co back and if she should ask the housekeeper to save so food for him.
Before she could speak, Ji Weitian suddenly froze!
Why did that conversation sound so odd?
They weren’t husband and wife; why should she care what ti he got ho?
Ji Weitian didn’t fall into the trap, walked past Qin Nanyu, and sat down where he had just risen from, starting to compare the data on the computer.
Qin Nanyu found himself ignored, his brow furrowing tightly. He was about to say sothing when the assistant hurriedly entered from outside.
Noticing only two people in the laboratory and feeling the odd atmosphere, he was terrified and stuck at the doorway, unsure whether to enter or leave.
"Boss... may I co in?"
Qin Nanyu didn’t respond, giving the assistant a cold glance, seemingly displeased with his appearance at that mont. Eventually, he asked, "What is it?"
The assistant breathed a sigh of relief, recalling the purpose of his visit, his nerves tensing again.
"Boss, we just discovered so photographs."
The photographs in the assistant’s hands were the latest works from the Jiangcheng University Photography Association. This issue’s the was the alma mater.
Therefore, all the photographs were taken at Jiangcheng University.
Qin Nanyu took the photographs, and his first glance was not at the beautiful campus scenery but at the people in the photographs.
"Wang Xi knows Qian Min?"
Qin Nanyu’s dark eyes narrowed slightly as he pointed at the two individuals sitting side by side on a bench in the photograph.
Given their close sitting posture, they did not seem like acquaintances.
In the photograph, Wang Xi did not appear as introverted as he was in front of others; he seed happy, a clean and fresh-looking young man, smiling with a small canine tooth visible, a completely different image from his usual self, unexpectedly captured by the cara.
The following photographs showed Wang Xi and Qian Min eating together in the cafeteria.
Since both were standout students from the Computer Science Departnt, the photographer gave several close-ups of the subjects, capturing their expressions clearly.
The most direct feeling was that they seed to enjoy their conversation.
And in the bottom right corner of the photograph, the date it was taken was the day before the laboratory data leak...
"I had soone inquire about it, Wang Xi and Qian Min are from the sa hotown. As top students, they often t in various competitions, and they have known each other for many years before entering Jiangcheng University,"
the assistant explained.
"Wang Xi is introverted and not good at socializing, so he has very few friends. To so extent, Qian Min is probably his only good friend."
After speaking, the assistant waited a long ti for Qin Nanyu and Ji Weitian to respond.
Cautiously, he asked, "Boss, what should we do now?"
If the laboratory data really leaked, Wang Xi would be the pri suspect.
At this ti, to prevent further loss in the laboratory, they should call Wang Xi back as soon as possible to cooperate with the investigation.
"What do you think?" Qin Nanyu handed the photographs to Ji Weitian, his lips parting slightly.
"We can’t call Wang Xi back at this ti," Ji Weitian answered without hesitation, "If we call him back because of these photographs, it would be telling others that he is the mole. We’re not sure of Re Group’s purpose right now, and doing so would just confuse matters!"
"Mhmm," Qin Nanyu turned his head to the assistant, instructing, "Go to the photography association and deal with these photographs."
"Boss, it might already be too late..."
