Precaution number one: Be gentle.
The definition of gentleness was even detailed, specifying how loud to speak, trying to keep it under a certain number of decibels.
There were also instructions to adjust one’s way of speaking based on Qin Nanyu’s mood...
In summary, it was crucial not to anger him, lest he beca agitated and fainted again.
Precaution number two: Be considerate.
What was considered considerate, in Ji Weitian’s view, was probably the sa as being completely obedient—just short of telling her to treat Qin Nanyu like a baby in swaddling clothes, handling him with tender care.
Then there was the third, the fourth, the fifth... so many more precautions.
In those short minutes she had been downstairs, the doctor must have been busy writing all this stuff. Otherwise, with so many words, it would have been impossible to finish.
Ji Weitian had reason to believe the doctor was targeting her, and she had evidence to prove it!
She took several deep breaths, attempting to calm down. Holding the material in her hand, she walked up to Qin Nanyu and handed it to him for his own perusal.
"I think the doctor is making a mountain out of a molehill. You just have low blood sugar, not an inability to take care of yourself. There’s no need for soone to take such ticulous care of you."
Moreover, she and Qin Nanyu weren’t related.
It would be so awkward for her, a single woman, to stay and take care of him alone...
Ji Weitian was about to say sothing else when Qin Nanyu suddenly pressed a hand to his forehead, "My head is a bit dizzy, and my chest feels a bit tight."
"..." Ji Weitian froze for a few seconds, glancing at him, he seed genuinely uncomfortable. She quickly helped him sit up and adjusted his pillow so he could lean against the headboard for a while.
She then picked up the glass of water and helped him drink a few sips.
"Do you feel a bit better now?"
Qin Nanyu looked completely drained but forced himself to nod, "I’m fine now. If you’re tired, you can rest first. Don’t force yourself to stay and look after ."
"..."
Ji Weitian watched his not-so-fine expression, wanting to leave yet sowhat uneasy.
The butler was cooking sothing downstairs; if she really left, Qin Nanyu would be left in the room alone.
Could he really manage?
Ji Weitian bit her lip, hesitated for a mont, but still did not leave.
"Your complexion is very poor, and the butler can’t look after you right now. I’ll keep an eye on you until he cos up, or until you look a bit better."
After she spoke, she was about to move the chair closer to the bed for easier care of Qin Nanyu.
Before she could, Qin Nanyu had already scooted over, making room at the edge of the bed.
So Ji Weitian could sit beside him.
Seeing Ji Weitian standing still, Qin Nanyu suddenly started complaining about feeling unwell again, wanting water.
Eventually, he successfully tricked Ji Weitian into sitting by his side.
When the butler ca up with freshly cooked porridge, Qin Nanyu was comfortably leaning against the headboard, with Ji Weitian rubbing his temples.
The two of them, who usually didn’t get along at all, suddenly seed harmonious, scaring the butler nearly to the point of dropping the porridge bowl in his hands, staring bewildered at the scene.
It wasn’t until Ji Weitian saw him that she seed to see a savior.
"Butler!" Ji Weitian swiftly moved away from Qin Nanyu’s side, pulling the butler aside.
"Since you’re here, I won’t disturb you two anymore. I’ll go back to my own room, and I’ll co to check on him after I wake up tomorrow."
Ji Weitian said her piece and was about to leave.
The butler was still sowhat dazed, barely sensing that Qin Nanyu’s look towards him was a bit cold.

As if he felt the butler shouldn’t have appeared just then.
Like instructed by so impulsive force, the butler reached out and caught Ji Weitian, "Miss Ji, wait a mont!"
