What, what do you an?

What’s this ’he’ about?

He’s not a child, and he didn’t fall asleep at her place, what does it have to do with her?

Ji Weitian had a reflexive urge to respond like this, but before she could open her mouth, Qin Nanyu had already casually opened his lips, "My son has never been away from my side."

The intention behind his words seed to suggest that Little Glutinous Rice Dumpling would be scared upon waking up and not seeing his father.

"..." Ji Weitian’s mouth twitched skeptically as she glanced at him.

Why did she feel that if Ruirui couldn’t see him, he would happily bang drums and gongs, laughing loudly three hundred tis?

Ji Weitian realized her thoughts might be sowhat inappropriate; after all, the bond between father and son couldn’t be cut, perhaps Ruirui only verbally claid to dislike his father but was in fact very attached to Qin Nanyu.

Just like before at the hospital, when the little guy was sick, Qin Nanyu had put aside his work to stay and watch over him.

With that in mind, Ji Weitian suddenly found Qin Nanyu’s words sowhat credible.

Well, that’s a problem...

Her ho didn’t have a spare guest room.

It was fine for Ruirui since he was a child, but Qin Nanyu was a grown man; he surely couldn’t sleep with her...

"Bang—" Before Ji Weitian could co up with a solution, a dull thud suddenly ca from the children’s room.

Both were taken aback.

Ji Weitian, as if realizing sothing, was the first to snap back to reality and hurried to the children’s room, pushing the door open.

Little Glutinous Rice Dumpling was fine, cozily asleep in her own bed, now with an added Fatty in her arms.

Hugging the cat, sleeping blissfully.

Ruirui, on the other hand, wasn’t so lucky; he had been kicked onto the floor by his sister, and sluggishly opened his eyes. Seeing Ji Weitian, he pitifully stretched out his hands for a hug.

Ji Weitian hurriedly picked him up and comforted him with a heart full of pity.

After making sure the little guy hadn’t fallen hard, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Turning her head to glance at the small bed in the children’s room, she hesitated for a mont, then carried Ruirui to her own room.

She soothed the little guy to sleep before feeling relieved enough to walk out to the living room and sit down on the couch.

Only to find that Qin Nanyu was still standing at the door of her room, his gaze fixed on the little fellow sleeping in her bed.

Ji Weitian thought he was worried about his son, and explained earnestly, "Yaoyao sleeps so restlessly, always rolling around. I’m afraid she’ll kick Ruirui off again and he might really get hurt. To be safe, Ruirui can sleep in my room tonight."

After Ji Weitian finished speaking, she rembered the issue they had just been discussing and began to speak again.

"My parents have a resting room in their snack shop, they actually mostly live there. If you don’t mind, you could sleep in their room... or there’s a hotel nearby..."

Before Ji Weitian could finish speaking, Qin Nanyu, who stood before her, had already pushed open the door and strode inside.

Bending down, he picked up the little fellow asleep on her bed in a mont she scarcely had to react.

Ji Weitian: "???"

Ji Weitian stood up in surprise from the couch, looking bewildered at the man who erged from her room carrying the drowsy child.

What was he doing...

Qin Nanyu t her puzzled eyes, hesitated for a mont, then faintly opened his lips.

"I just rembered, he has kindergarten tomorrow, staying here would be inconvenient, I won’t impose any further."

"..."

Until Qin Nanyu’s figure disappeared from view, Ji Weitian couldn’t snap out of her astonishnt.
