Ji Weitian raised an eyebrow at her, that docile look clearly feigned.
Weitian was experienced and knew that Kali must be harboring so mischief, but she was in no hurry and just waited for what was to co.
And indeed, Kali’s next words followed quickly.
"Our experintal group mbers have been up all night for this experint, definitely exhausted and hungry now. But everyone is occupied with their work and can’t really step away, so could you please do us a favor, Teacher Ji, and grab sothing for everyone to eat?"

Weitian mused to herself about how she’d never noticed Kali’s talent for acting before.

Before Weitian could respond, Lei Yunjia, who was closest to her, frowned and said, "Teacher Ji is here to help, not to run errands, right? And one girl can’t carry breakfast for so many people. I think I should go buy..."
"Didn’t I sort out your experintal data for you? Are you done compiling it? Do you have the ti?" Kali glared at Lei Yunjia.
Lei Yunjia looked embarrassed and had nothing to reply.
Not everyone in the lab was from the Computer Science Departnt; Lei Yunjia studied microelectronic engineering and definitely wasn’t as proficient as Kali in handling programming data.
Having Kali point this out in front of everyone was like accusing him of being a drag; not wanting to argue with a girl, Yunjia simply shut his mouth.
Only then did Kali look satisfied as she turned to Weitian: "Teacher Ji, you wouldn’t refuse, right?"
Asked in front of so many people, could Weitian refuse?
Everyone was swamped, and she just happened to be free. Running an errand to buy breakfast was not such a big deal.
However, the smugness on Kali’s face was irkso.
A thought struck Weitian and the corners of her mouth turned up as she answered cheerfully, "Sure, I’ll get sothing for everyone right now."
With that, she left the lab.
She decided the best place was her foster parents’ snack shop, ordered the breakfast, and then carried it back to the lab.
She placed each portion at everyone’s respective seats, then took the last one and walked towards Kali, who looked triumphant and was waiting arrogantly in her seat.
Compared to the others who were expressing their gratitude, Kali didn’t even stand up but spoke with a sneer, "Thank you for the trouble, Teacher Ji. I’m sure the breakfast you bought is delicious!"
As Kali reached out to take the al, Weitian suddenly withdrew her hand, causing Kali to grasp at empty air.
Facing her bewildered look, Weitian feigned surprise and exclaid, "Oops, I seem to have miscalculated, and I’m one short."

"It’s often said that girls can get fat from eating too much. You’re already in such shape, my little junior. I can’t do you wrong. Skip a al for dieting’s sake. I’ll keep this breakfast for myself."
After declaring this, Weitian promptly picked up a pancake from the bag and began to eat in front of Kali.
Golden and crispy pancakes with condints made the taste simply irresistible.
