"Sisters’ get-together ti?"
Ji Weitian had truly forgotten and, upon seeing the ssage, hurriedly checked her calendar to find a red circle indeed marked on it.
Seizing her phone, she pretended calmness as she replied, "I love you so much, of course I rembered our date. Sa ti, see you then, xoxo~"
As soon as she set down her phone, she quickly buried her head in her work.
Ji Weitian had a good mory, particularly for numbers.
For docunts she had numbered, just hearing the numbers allowed her to recall instantly where they were.
Handling docunt filing was sothing she did extrely efficiently.
When she finished her tasks, it was slightly early.
Recalling the formula she had derived the day before, Ji Weitian stood up from her chair, picked up a docunt from the desk, and walked towards the lab.
Ensuring Qin Nanyu wasn’t in the lab, she politely knocked on the door.
Inside the lab, everyone was huddled together, facing screen-displayed program issues that were causing imnse headaches.
Upon hearing the knock, they all simultaneously turned to look at Ji Weitian.
Before anyone else could speak, Qian Min, who was closest to the door, stepped forward briskly and spoke coldly, "Can I help you?"
"..."
Hearing the unfriendly tone in her voice, Ji Weitian was montarily stunned but then laughed it off, thinking she was perhaps being too sensitive.
"I saw you all seed to be studying an algorithm of a program when I delivered docunts yesterday, did you figure it out?" she asked cheerily.
"Senior sister," Ji Weitian hadn’t finished her sentence when Qian Min interrupted her, arms crossed and speaking impatiently.
"I’m willing to speak to you because you were once part of our Computer Science Departnt, but as far as I know, President Qin has ordered that you are not allowed in the lab. I don’t think you count as a mber of our research group, nor do you have the right to inquire about the experint’s progress," Qian Min retorted.
Ji Weitian was taken aback.
"You may have misunderstood. I am not trying to interfere with your experint. I just..."
"It doesn’t matter what you think, if you don’t have anything else, please leave," Qian Min said sternly.
Her words were blunt, yet the volu was controlled so well that others in the lab could see her talking to Ji Weitian but couldn’t hear what was being said.
Ji Weitian, eting her contemptuous gaze, was finally certain that the hostility was not her imagination.
"Did I offend you?" Ji Weitian frowned.
Qian Min was the most outstanding student in the Computer Science Departnt of this class, a female, with a decent appearance and temperant that naturally drew considerable attention.
Ji Weitian, working in the academic affairs office, and being familiar with outstanding students as they were often ntioned by teachers, knew Qian Min quite well.
However, aside from a previous dinner gathering, she had hardly had any direct interactions with Qian Min, let alone conflicts.
If she rembered correctly, the last ti Qian Min had seen her, she had cheekily asked whether to call her Teacher Ji or senior sister.
How could she have changed so drastically in the blink of an eye?
Was this woman wearing a double mask?
"Senior sister, you jest. What is there between us to offend or not offend?" Qian Min chuckled nervously, her look turning scornful as she assessed Ji Weitian from head to toe, condescendingly saying,
"Although you were once part of the Computer Science Departnt, tis have changed. You are now just a contract worker, spending your days in the academic affairs office sorting files. You probably can’t imagine how difficult conducting experints is. I just don’t want to see you struggle too much, senior sister. Please be understanding. If there’s nothing else, I need to get back to my work."
