"Are you and Hugh Irving dating?" Sophia Lowell couldn’t help but ask.

Ethan Sinclair beca anxious all of a sudden, "You better not tell Sinclair about this, or he’ll break my legs!"

Hugh Irving was two years older than Ethan Sinclair.

Charles Sinclair, at heart, was a traditional man. If he found out that the person Ethan liked was two years older, he would definitely make a fuss.

Sophia Lowell glanced at him. So the kiss on the back of Hugh Irving’s neck was from this brat.

They hid it well enough.

"You’ve got piles of money at ho, so why are you hanging out with Zane Sterling? If you went back to inherit the family business, I’d have to call you Young President Sinclair respectfully now."

Ethan Sinclair chuckled, "I still prefer the vibrant outside world. On the farm, it’s horse dung and urine the mont you step out the door. Look at , can I even get a wife?"

"But you can’t ss up my best friend!" Sophia Lowell kicked him.

Ethan Sinclair jerked his leg back, "Please! I’m your best friend too! Look at the guy in your life; without , would you two be together?"

Later, they found out that Hugh Irving and Ethan Sinclair got close while moving furniture in the apartnt. Ethan wanted to go public, but Hugh refused.

Hugh Irving grew up without parents around; they each had their own families. Hugh had no confidence in relationships and marriage.

She could play around, but she would never commit to a relationship.

Ethan Sinclair was different.

But Ethan was confident he could make Hugh commit to him.

If they could match these two ice-cold rocks, Zane Sterling and Sophia Lowell, why couldn’t they?!

"I’ve helped you so much, shouldn’t you help too?" Ethan asked seriously.

Sophia Lowell laughed, "Dear, you helped because the boss asked you. The boss pays you a salary. What do I get if I help you?"

"Throwing under the bus is not in your nature!" Ethan took a sip of his drink and said to her, "I’m serious."

"Fine, you’re serious."

The two clinked glasses in understanding.

"Look over there." Ethan took a sip, nodded his chin, gesturing for her to look back.

Sophia Lowell put down her glass, turned, and her brow imdiately furrowed.

Zane Sterling was engrossed in conversation with Charles Sinclair, and Beau Morgan had sohow sat beside Zane, raising a glass to Charles.

Zane’s face didn’t look good. Charles, the old fox, saw through the situation at a glance, smiled but said nothing more.

"Guess what we found out." Ethan stared at Sophia.

Sophia pulled up a chair and sat next to Ethan, watching the trio chat side by side.

Ethan continued, "The investnt Beau Morgan pulled was from her mother’s side. They said it was for investnt, but it’s actually about buying company shares. After the company goes public and stabilizes, the shares will be transferred to Beau. Beau’s mom gave her relatives a huge sum of money."

No wonder Beau Morgan was so anxious to plant her people in the company; it was all preditated. She was probably elevated too high by the company’s people, delusional about her role.

The Morgan Family only had this one daughter, who was pampered and indulged by her parents.

"You have to admit, she’s quite smart." Sophia Lowell watched Beau’s zealousness from a distance.

Beau noticed her gaze too.

A chill ran down her spine, even making her hair tremble.

Sophia’s gaze wasn’t particularly sharp, but her composed deanor stirred sothing within Beau.

She didn’t understand why this woman, who had no social status and no achievents, made her so uneasy.

It was like a fear embedded in her bones.

She had an invisible aura, as if a single glance could unsettle Beau.

This was the first ti in her professional career she had experienced such a situation.

Sophia’s destructive power was intangible.

"Aren’t you going over there?" Ethan asked.

"What for, to stake a claim?" Sophia chuckled, "If I went over, she’d only get more cocky."

Ethan nodded slightly, as if it made sense.

Sophia’s indifference appeared to Beau as supre confidence, sothing even she couldn’t fake.

Beau felt a bit flustered.

Recent events had put her on alert; she suspected Sophia was whispering in Zane’s ear, she could be dismissed at any mont.

Or she might be reassigned to another subsidiary.

That’s why Sophia was so calm now.

She’d have to get Sophia out of the picture to have a chance.

"It’s past nine; I need to go ho and catch up on my shows. The day after tomorrow, I’ll wait for you guys at the farm; don’t bring too many people, I don’t like crowds." Charles looked at Beau, furrowing his brow.

Anyone with sense could tell what he ant.

Beau pretended not to hear.

"Alright," Zane Sterling chuckled.

The three stood up together, and Charles shook Zane’s hand before turning to leave. Beau, who was about to reach out her hand, withdrew it.

"Mr. Sterling, is there an issue with the original investor? Why the sudden change?" Beau couldn’t help but ask.

She believed she had perfectly executed everything, forgetting that Zane Sterling, coming from a special ops background, saw right through such tricks.

Zane smiled, saying, "Not very mature; Sinclair Corporation is more convincing."

Beau nodded in agreent. Indeed, Sinclair Corporation was a great fit, but every ti she approached them, she t with closed doors. The Sinclair Corporation wanted no comrcial ties, focusing solely on farming.

Ha, peasants are peasants.

"Didn’t I tell you to rest well? Why are you out here?" Zane looked at her leg.

Beau took it as concern; she smiled and said, "I always handle these social events. This little injury is nothing."

"Seems I’ve been tough on you; I should visit more often, so you don’t always have to work hard," Zane said, words layered with aning.

"Don’t say that, Mr. Sterling. It’s my duty," Beau said, pretending not to understand.

"Alright," he responded lightly.

"Can I co with you the day after tomorrow?" Beau asked, striving to grasp an opportunity.

Zane eyed her from top to bottom, pausing, "Okay."

Beau smiled with delight, dispelling so earlier worries.

After saying this, he turned and headed to the restroom.

Beau watched his back, unwilling to look away.

This broad-shouldered, narrow-waisted, tall, and handso man was charming from any angle.

Charles ca over to Sophia and Ethan from their spot.

"Day after tomorrow, co to my place for a barbecue; I’ll get a whole lamb for you!" Charles patted Sophia on the shoulder.

"Alright, Uncle!" Sophia replied with a wide grin.

On the contrary, Ethan kept his head down, silent.

Charles, brimming with anger, pointed at him and scolded, "Don’t forget what you promised !"

"Got it..." Ethan responded flatly.

To secure Charles’ investnt, Ethan had fearlessly convinced him to co over.

Charles’ request was simple: co back to take over the family business alone or co back with a partner.

The implication was to bring a girlfriend ho.

Otherwise, nothing would be discussed.

Charles snorted and left the venue, while Sophia couldn’t help but chuckle.

Not far away, Beau watched the scene unfold, wondering why Sophia seed to be everywhere.

They knew each other too!

Was the good investnt spoiled by Sophia too?

She was indignant!
