So audience mbers gasped.
The Mimic Monster was an intelligent being from a remote planet, renowned in this Plane for their high success rate in assassination. Mimic Monsters were withered humanoid exoskeletal creatures whose exoskeletal surfaces could secrete a special substance, mimicking the appearance of many types of beings. They particularly enjoyed disguising themselves as harmless creatures to approach their targets before striking them down suddenly.
It could be said that, including the girl’s parents, no one expected that their daughter had been switched out without their knowledge!
Boom!
The Light Cannon hit the Mimic Monster in midair, causing it to explode, burn, and then turn to a pile of ashes.
With two assassins found in quick succession, so in the audience who had originally harbored dangerous intentions began to feel endangered themselves. Whether it was the Poison Wasp or the Mimic Monster, they were both famous assassins; their extrely high kill rates made them role models for all assassins. Such assassins were not expected to reveal their plans in advance. Especially the Mimic Monster, which would certainly not communicate with anyone. And yet, they were still found by Long Yi? That was almost too incredible to believe!
"It’s fine, you can keep thinking about exchanging my head for money. I know it’s a hefty sum. As long as you don’t act on those thoughts, I won’t care what you’re thinking. However, if I sense any assassin approaching , then I will have to apologize in advance."
As he spoke, Lingling’s Light Cannon aid a red beam directly at a man.
The man burst into tears on the spot.
"Great Lord Long Yi! I was just thinking about it! I never dared to take any action! I really didn’t, I swear! I’m just a coward!"
Then, the red beam disappeared.
"I was rely giving an example. I didn’t know you were thinking that,"
said Long Yi.
After this series of events, almost everyone understood. All assassins would be intimidated by Long Yi’s terrifying strength and were even more fearful of being killed without warning.
So began to quietly leave the arena, but Long Yi didn’t bother with them. He needed them to spread the word about what happened here within the dark world.
So how did Long Yi do it?
It was actually quite simple. Little Zi and her Female Demon avatar guarded several entrances of the Arena. An audience mber coming to watch a fight and an assassin arriving to kill had completely different ntal states. Thus, Little Zi and her companions could easily find a series of suspects. Then, by closely tracking those suspected, using a bit of hypnotism when necessary, they could easily obtain information. Then, before everyone, Long Yi struck them down, a surprise move akin to killing the chicken to scare the monkeys, sufficiently deterring the rest.
"Actually, I wanted to continue with my ladder challenge," said Long Yi directly, announcing the explosive news, "However, it seems I won’t be able to compete peacefully. So, I’ve decided to temporarily withdraw from the Stellar Realm Arena."
A murmur of confusion imdiately rose from the audience.
"But I’m not leaving this place for good. I’ll co back after I’ve dealt with so urgent matters that I need to attend to," continued Long Yi.
"No! You can’t go! Who do you think you are? Just co and go as you please?" the owner suddenly appeared, shouting angrily.
"Of course not," said Long Yi, "I just have so matters I must take care of."
"What exactly are you going to do!" demanded the owner.
"Leaving at this ti, what I’m going to do is certainly to have a heart-to-heart with those who’ve put a bounty on my head!" Long Yi said with a smile.
Actually, the owner didn’t want Long Yi to leave, as such an entertaining and powerful Gladiator could unquestionably bring significant revenue to the Arena. But he also knew Long Yi didn’t belong to this place. So reluctantly, after expressing so dramatic lines for the show, he let Long Yi leave.
Long Yi left the Stellar Realm Arena!
Long Yi was seeking revenge on those who had put a bounty on his head!
As the news spread throughout the Plane, everyone was excited. The influence of the Stellar Realm Arena was significant, many superb warriors ca from there, and as such, events there tended to spread quickl to every corner.
anwhile, those Mages who had offered the bounty were becoming restless. They had originally thought that a hefty reward would surely attract brave souls capable of keeping Long Yi entangled and in trouble. They had not expected that not only had Long Yi not beco entangled and troubled, but he had left the relatively safe confines of the Arena to head straight for them!
On one hand, these Mages were nervous, but on the other, sowhat excited. The Stellar Realm Arena was a relatively independent place where various factions would not cause trouble. However, once outside the Arena, the situation changed imdiately.
Those Mages offering the bounty quickly assembled an army composed of their students, followers, and guards. They began to close in on Long Yi, searching for him from the point he left with the intent to slay him along the way! They swore to kill Long Yi on the road!
However, within days, the numbers of this army had ballooned drastically! For the Emperor of the Sanctuary Empire directly dispatched an army of a hundred thousand Mages, with Long Yi as their target.
