Selun couldn’t help but feel elated. If one were to follow the principle of spell duel, when encountering an opponent whose spellcasting speed is slow, one should imdiately use fast spell to disrupt the opponent’s casting. However, Selun did not make a move. He wanted to see what this legendary Dragon One could really do.

Seven seconds later, Dragon One’s spell rocket finally burst out, and once again, Selun was taken aback. The size of the spell rocket was like that of a washbasin!

Usually, a spell rocket is just a fist-sized energy ball. Even if there is a tide of mana attached to it, the spell rocket is just about the size of a bowl. But Dragon One’s spell rocket was as large as a full basin! Moreover, it was inflad with blazing flas inside, flying in the sky with smoke trailing behind it!

Selun felt like his brain was having trouble keeping up.

The flas and smoke were understandable, as it was likely due to the attributes of the fat dragon. However, the size of the rocket was another matter entirely.

It indicated that Dragon One had mastered an important skill.

Mana Infusion.

As the na suggests, Mana Infusion is the constant feeding of mana into the spell that is being cast, with the aim to give the ordinary spell a stronger destructive power.

It may sound simple, but it is actually a 7th grade technique!

After the 7th grade, students of the Dragon Knight Academy are placed into the army for practical combat training. This is a skill that a mage in practical combat training emphasizes on!

Selun knew from his own experiences how difficult it was to increase a spell’s destructive power without altering the spell itself. He had tried several tis, each ti ending in him getting charred!

And this damned bastard, he cos up with such a skill right off the bat and uses it on a basic skill like spell rocket! Is he showing off?!

Selun felt a twinge of jealousy.

What Selun didn’t realize was that he wrongly blad Dragon One.

This was not Mana Infusion, but rather just a typical spell rocket released by Dragon One. As a giant, Dragon One’s mana, both in terms of speed and quality, far exceeded that of humans and he even surpassed the Dragon Clan. If Dragon One’s power hadn’t been supressed, the spell rockets he unleashed could scare people to death!

Watching the super-sized spell rocket leisurely approaching, all of Selun’s initial shock turned into contempt.

Even if you can release such a large spell rocket, so what? You take too long to cast and the flight ti of the spell is overly long. These are all your weaknesses! There’s no way you will beat !

With a wave of his hand, he sent two spell rockets flying towards Dragon One. Countering a spell with a spell is a basic tactic among mages. However, Selun underestimated Dragon One’s spell rocket! He watched in horror as his two spell rockets made contact with Dragon One’s spell rocket and did nothing except to emit more smoke!

"Damn it!"

The spell rocket from Dragon One had a slow speed but it was still a spell. It was already too close after the delay!

"Explode!"

Selun waved his hands repeatedly, firing off spell rockets as if there were no tomorrow, while his body desperately retreated. But the smoke-filled spell rocket from Dragon One followed him slowly like a tethered hydrogen balloon!

Finally, after more than ten spell rockets were fired, Dragon One’s spell rocket could not maintain stability and burst into a fiery collapse in mid-air, emitting thick smoke.

Just as Selun was letting out a sigh of relief, he suddenly felt a chill! Shit, it was a triple consecutive spell! There was a spell spear following the spell rocket!

The smoke in front of him churned suddenly. Without a second thought, Selun dived to the side as a sturdy spell spear slamd into the spot where he was just standing.

Then ca the Thunderstrike spell!

No one can outrun lightning!

Without learning the skill of the Electrostatic Barrier, this spell can’t be dodged!

Resistance is futile!

"Ethereal Light Shield!"

"Ethereal Light Shield!"

Selun summoned two more Ethereal Light Shields, making it three in total. He didn’t believe that Dragon One’s thunder, however fierce, could break through his three Ethereal Light Shields instantly.

At this ti, Dragon One’s hands were still brandishing thick electric arcs!

Crack!

A giant electric arc burst onto Selun’s Ethereal Light Shield.

The first shield! Shattered!

The second shield! Shattered!

The third shield! Intact!

Haha, just as I thought. Although Dragon One’s spells are powerful, their slow speed is his drawback. As long as I grasp this, I can win!

Selun was just about to prepare for a new spell when he saw sparks once again flashing from Long Yi’s hands!

Thunderstrike?

Another one?

Just after casting, how... how is it able to cast so quickly again?

Wait! Not casting a second ti! It’s the effect of Double Spellcasting! Each spell cast has a certain chance of being cast again with the sa spell!

You might know that spells aren’t sothing you can keep casting relentlessly. Due to the way spells operate within the body, after casting one spell, the body needs a little ti to return the spell to its default state. This ’cooling off’ period lessens with the mage’s strength but never disappears. Stronger spells require a longer cooling off period.

The advent of Double Spellcasting, though, lets mages cleverly maintain their casting state after casting one spell, then gathering mana to release the sa spell once again.

Long Yi indeed just cast Double Spellcasting!

Damn! There isn’t enough ti!

With all his might, Selun finally cast another Ethereal Light Shield.

The thunder roared over, and the two Ethereal Light Shields in front of Selun crumbled instantly. The aftermath of the Thunderstrike sent Selun backtracking a few steps, but the impact was already limited.

"Damn it, you got lucky, triggering Double Spellcasting like that. But next, it’s my..."

Selun’s words were cut short as he saw Long Yi’s hands shining brightly again.

What?

Another one?

It’s Thunderstrike again?

How is that possible?

The effect of Double Spellcasting has already passed!

Wait, could the second Thunderstrike have triggered the effect of Double Spellcasting again?

Isn’t it?

Selun recalled his ntor telling them about Double Spellcasting, stating that even the triggered spells could trigger the Double Spellcasting effect, but the chance is extrely low, as low as bumping into a person who looks exactly like you on the street twice in a row.

Selun clearly rembered laughing heartily then. Like all the other students, he completely dismissed it as a joke. But now, he was witnessing it!

In panic, Selun used his proficiency in magic to set up another Ethereal Light Shield, but was only able to manage one. The mont the shield appeared, the lightning was already near.

With a bang, the shield shattered, and the energy that penetrated the Ethereal Light Shield crashed into Selun’s body. Selun only felt a montary numbness, followed by his body uncontrollably stiffening up. Intense pain instantly spread throughout his body!

He lost!

Selun never imagined he would lose like this. Thunderstrike didn’t possess much destructive power; its primary function was restricting an enemy’s actions. But who would have thought; Long Yi’s Thunderstrike was so powerful. Just one strike, and Selun felt as if his entire body was being torn apart.

Surrender, surrender, go back and tell the boss imdiately. This Long Yi, his magic is also fierce, better not to have any conflicts.

Selun wanted to concede, but his mouth was still numb and not cooperating. Yet his eyes remained focused ahead. Taking a good look at Long Yi, Selun was dumbfounded because in Long Yi’s hand, a new cluster of lightning was gathering.

No way? Here it cos again? Another one? It triggered again?

Oh my god, is there any justice? Any humanity?

Selun felt like crying a bit, poor little sister, you’ve really done in today. Is it that Long Yi’s luck is too good? Or am I just that unlucky? A low-grade Double Spellcasting triggered three tis in a row! This is Double Spellcasting, not Triple Casting or Quadruple Casting!

If I knew it was going to go like this, why would I agree to this? How pitiful am I! Oh my god, just let faint, I hope I can wake up in a hospital!

Bang!

This ti, the thunderbolt, without any hindrance, directly hit Selun’s body. The dazzling electric arc twisted in mid-air before reluctantly fading away. Selun lay on the ground as he wished, unconscious, eyes rolled back, foaming at the mouth. There was a sll of ozone in the air.

At this mont, Long Yi was frantically shaking his hands in place. After casting Thunderstrike four tis in a row, Long Yi’s palms were sowhat reddening with heat. If it wasn’t for the Dragon Scale Armor, Long Yi reckoned his palms would have been severely burned.

The combatant had lost consciousness. The battle was settled. But everyone stood there in shock, without a word or movent.
