A month is a month, it’s not that long anyway!
And so, the opposing Dragon Clan mbers, also satisfied, withdrew their objections to the dragon knights.
At this ti, however, the human dragon knights weren’t too pleased. After strenuous training, they hadn’t beco dragon knights only to co here and be scorned by the Dragon Clan.
So, so of the dragon knights sought Long Yi, vehently opposing this one-month agreent.
However, Long Yi’s answer was simple.
"This is war. The Dragon Clan is no longer a war tool for humans. They have the right to choose their most beneficial ally. If you cannot prove your worth, you have no choice but to go ho. There’s no room for negotiation," he stated.
"However, we only have one month..." they protested.
"I have, indeed, given you a month. If we cannot find a way to defeat the Dragon Clan in that ti, we don’t deserve to call ourselves humans," he replied.
These words directly incited the dragon knights who ca seeking Long Yi. Afterwards, challenges ensued throughout the Gentle Wind Plains. As Long Yi had said, the dragon knights and their mounts continued to challenge the dragons without riders, learning from each defeat. These knights, led by traditional riders, brainstord continuously about how they could overco opponents. However, for the first week, almost no victory was achieved.
Until one day, a dragon knight, exasperated, stated that the fighting aura they’ve been relentlessly utilizing cannot penetrate the defenses of the Giant Dragons and that their tactics were absolutely useless.
Then, Fan Sen, the third Group Leader, suddenly realized a critical problem.
All this ti, the dragon knights had been desperately learning fighting aura techniques, aiming to gain advantages in an encounter with rival dragon knights. However, the primary opposition now ca from the Dragon Clan. Human strength was utterly insufficient against them. So, why did Long Yi bring the dragon knights here?
Given Long Yi’s character, it wasn’t like him to do sothing futile.
What abilities do humans have that the Dragon Clan does not? Cunningness! Deceit! Flexibility!
What else?
Flying tactics!
This might sound absurd, but the dragon knights of the White Dragon Empire commanded a set of flying tactics foreign to the regular Dragon Clan. These were flying tactics specifically for aerial battles, taught by Long Yi!
These tactics included many high-end skills tested on the battlefield!
The Dragon Clan had formidable attack capacity and excellent defense, but they lacked flexibility and tactics, which were human strengths!
This viewpoint was imdiately communicated to all Group Leaders via a eting.
"I bet Long Yi must have figured this out ages ago, but he just kept mum," said the first Group Leader, finally grasping the facts.
"Why didn’t he just speak up earlier! We wouldn’t have embarrassed ourselves!" Ferdinand, the second Group Leader, rolled his eyes.
"We embarrassed ourselves, and we figured it out. This way, we are truly convinced," remarked Fan Sen.
"Crud! After all this ti, what could we possibly not accept?"
People felt that Long Yi was being too difficult, but in reality, they deeply respected him. Indeed, only through a series of failures could they find a viable option.
From the second week onward, all training plans for dragon knights were completely changed, and the frequency of challenges significantly increased!
When both the opponent and ally were evenly matched, what altered the scale of victory?
Details.
More details!
Born with cunningness, humans paid attention to more details. Instead of thinking about killing enemies or casting fighting aura techniques, what you needed to do was assist your Giant Dragon with more details, by utilizing your wit and intelligence.
In the second week, dragon knights still mainly lost. However, with the increase of battles, humans started to notice so tactical details. The Giant Dragons that cooperated with humans also found it unprecedentedly relaxed to fight with them.
The Giant Dragons no longer had to waste ti pondering whether to defend or attack, charge or retreat. They just had to complete a variety of actions they had already trained for, following the humans’ tips.
It was that simple!
In the third week, the humans’ winning rate began to rise sharply, especially amongst those who mastered the flying tactics more proficiently. Every dragon could perform each one of the tactics, whether it had a dragon knight or not. However, knowing what tactics to use and when was a lifelong study for a dragon knight!
As the victories increased, so of the Giant Dragons that had left their dragon knights gradually returned. Gradually, most of the Dragon Clan finally recognized the dragon knights were not burdens, but excellent commanders!
In the end, by the fourth week, even the most determined Giant Dragons fully acknowledged the excellence and strength of the dragon knights. Those Giant Dragons sincerely apologized to their dragon knights, sought their forgiveness, and invited them onto their backs. From this day forward, their friendship would be inseparable!
Asus, standing nearby, was laughing so hard that his mouth could not close. This outco was certainly the one he hoped for the most, because it ant another victory for Long Yi, the Giant. And it also ant that the Dragon Clan’s combat capabilities once again significantly increased under the help of the dragon knights.
