Recently, the Crystal Demons have been actively expanding outward. As they can navigate freely in the cosmos, exploring the universe is not a particularly challenging task for them.
They have comnced investigations of all planets on the surrounding star maps. The source of these initial star maps was naturally from the Giants.
The Crystal Demons have always been carrying out archaeological studies on the relics of Giants within the universe. Majority of these ruins have been destroyed by the Dragon Clan, yet Belle has constantly been dedicated to excavation and restoration. Evidently, the Giants had taken many useful items with them when they left, and what they couldn’t take was destroyed by the Dragon Clan.
At this point, the Crystal Demons have started colonizing planets that hold the remnants of the Giants. The Crystal Demons, for whom living conditions are more or less irrelevant, have shown imnse enthusiasm for this new endeavor. And so, one after another, exploration teams depart from their ho star to embark on the journey of colonization.
During this process, they intentionally avoided planets with life. Planets that harbored both life and Giant relics likely served as experintal sites for the Giants in the past. The life that evolved there might have been aided by the Giants, and the arrival of the Crystal Demons could potentially eradicate the original creatures of the planet.
Therefore, the Crystal Demons initiated their grand era of cosmic colonization. Then, on a desolate planet on the edge of space, they discovered a huge altar. This altar was extrely complex, covering several kiloters and divided into many layers. At the center of the altar, they found a small device.
"This is it."
Deep within a secret laboratory, Belle presented this device to Long Yi.
No more than a ter tall, it was shaped into an impeccably crafted tetrahedron, a milky-white color indicative of so sort of crystal. Upon closer inspection, each face of the tetrahedron resembled intricate patterns, naturally forming so sort of energy conduit. If the right energy is introduced, it would imdiately set the chanism in motion. However, the consequences of its operation were unknown.
"Our scientists conducted a series of checks on it, and while it seems like a single piece, its internal structure is incredibly intricate and compact. We’ve tried to activate it, but it had no response to our Demon Power," Belle explained.
Long Yi nodded his head and promptly took out the Giant tablet and scepter.
As soon as the tablet appeared, a row of huge text filled the entire screen!
"Warning! 36-tier threat detected!"
At the sa ti, a beam of light radiated from the top of the tablet onto the tetrahedron, outlining it.
Long Yi’s eyeballs nearly popped out of his skull.
A 36-tier threat!
This is one of the highest threat levels defined in the Giant tablet!
This ans that the level of the threat is sufficient to destroy the universe!
Long Yi had to exercise extre caution. His eyebrows were tightly knitted as he carefully moved the tablet closer to the white tetrahedron.
The warning disappeared and a row of question marks surfaced on the tablet.
It seems that even the Giant tablet does not know what this thing is.
Are there truly things in this world that even the Giants do not know about?
"Unidentified high-level threat detected. Suggestion: use the Giant Scepter for precise deconstruction," the tablet analyzed.
Long Yi lifted the scepter in his hand, the power of the Giants flowing into it. The radiance at the top of the scepter enveloped the tetrahedron.
"Dinsional trace detected; spatial imprint detected; Reversing dinsionality."
The tablet displayed a series of characters.
"Detecting internal activity imprint; Energy operation trace detected."
"Warning! High energy reaction detected! Warning! Imdiately cease all deconstruction! Warning! Imdiately evacuate all lifeforms within a hundred thousand kiloter radius! Warning! Unable to evacuate life, initiating space-ti freeze!"
Without even waiting for Long Yi’s decision, the Giant Scepter began to automatically draw from Long Yi’s Giant Power. anwhile, the tetrahedral device had already begun to open along its edges, and a series of microstructures inside were rearranging themselves at a terrifying rate! Long Yi could already feel an overwhelming force coming towards him! He thought he was already pretty tough, but in the face of such power, he felt a terrifying suffocation!
With the influx of the Giant’s Power, all space-ti within a ten-ter radius froze in an instant!
Finally, everything in front of him stopped. Long Yi turned around to find Belle still frozen mid-exclamation. Damn, had he kicked the hornet’s nest this ti?
When Long Yi turned back around, he saw a single gigantic eye levitating there, watching him!
The core of the single eye was a pure white sphere and the pupil consisted of an infinitely complex array that radiated endless energy.
When he looked back towards the tetrahedron, he saw it was completely empty!
Damn it, the space-ti freeze didn’t affect it!
What now!?
What could he do now?
Long Yi wanted to run, but Belle was standing behind him. To turn and run wasn’t sothing a man should do!
"An interesting move. You think space-ti freeze can limit my movents, Giant?" The eye was speaking! And it knew that Long Yi was a Giant!
Long Yi felt cold sweat all over his body. The other’s energy level was too high, and with its words, this energy level seed to be increasing even further! This was the first ti Long Yi felt so suppressed by soone else’s power! This was also the first ti Long Yi felt his knees soften!
Damn, what am I afraid of! Why am I acting so cowardly? Long Yi cursed himself inwardly.
"It’s natural for you to feel fear. After all, we aren’t on the sa tier. You’re a giant, a Tier 3 lifeform, and I am a Tier 2 lifeform. Your innate fear of is quite understandable, and there’s no need for you to shy away from it," said the Cyclops.
Long Yi was sowhat disoriented. "I don’t get it. What’s this about Tier 3 and Tier 2 lifeforms?" Even though there was a primal fear within him, he noticed that the Cyclops did not seem to harbor any hostility.
"To put it simply, you can consider as a god."
Those words made Long Yi flinch.
"Hold up, you can’t just throw words like that around. I know you’re powerful, but there’s a limit to that, right?" Long Yi realized that he felt an incredibly terrifying power, but how could that be the sa as the gods of legend? He figured that the power this eye possessed may not even rival a peak-level giant.
"Alright, I admit, I am not actually a god." The Cyclops quickly conceded. "I am a collective consciousness of a god, possessing partial Divine Status and Divine Power. However, unfortunately, I did not inherit the consciousness of the god, preventing from utilizing the Divine Power at will."
Long Yi was becoming increasingly lost.
"What’s Divine Status? And what do you an by inheriting a god’s consciousness?"
"Divine Status, put simply, is proof of being a god. Possessing Divine Status ans you can harness rules from the infinite void. These rules will conjure Divine Power. Just like how you used the Space-ti Freeze ability, with Divine Status, I can instantaneously understand what rule you used to cast that spell. anwhile, Divine Status helps instinctively resist detrintal spells, or automatically cast any spell I know."
"That sounds incredibly handy..." mumbled Long Yi.
"What a pity that my Divine Status is incomplete, so both my rate of obtaining Divine Power and speed of interpreting rules have been severely reduced. But, for a Tier 3 lifeform like you, it should be more than enough."
"If I am a Tier 3 lifeform and a god is a Tier 2 lifeform, then what are Tier 1 lifeforms?" Long Yi was bursting with curiosity.
"I don’t know. I inherited the Divine Status, but not the consciousness. I simply don’t know," said the Cyclops.
"Alright, and what about that bit about your partial Divine Status? What about the god then?"
"Well, he’s dead of course. Otherwise, where would I inherit it from?" The Cyclops gave Long Yi a look as if he were a fool.
"Dead!"
Long Yi was familiar with one god who had died – the god who created the Crystal Poison. That god, thinking he had created the perfect creature, ended up getting devoured by the Crystal Poison and perished.
"Yes, the god you’re thinking of right now, that idiot..." the Cyclops said helplessly.
"Idiot... That choice of word is quite... arrogant," said Long Yi, shocked. To call a god an idiot, this guy was really overstepping his bounds.
"Well, getting killed by one’s own creation, isn’t that just idiotic?" retorted the Cyclops nonchalantly.
"Hold on a second! You an the god who was killed by his own creation - the Crystal Poison, was the god who created the giants?" Long Yi exclaid in shock.
"Of course, she was the last Tier 2 lifeform in this entire multiverse, if not her, then who?" the Cyclops answered.
After creating a series of lifeforms, she went off to another universe and created the Crystal Poison. Perhaps she went crazy?
"Who knows? Maybe she was not thinking straight," the Cyclops responded.
"How did you know what I was thinking!" Only then did Long Yi realize, the Cyclops had correctly inferred his thoughts three tis now without him uttering a word! Did this an he had lost all secrets?
"Being a Tier 3 lifeform, to , your thoughts are entirely open. All your actions in front of hold no secrets," the Cyclops said.
"Damn! That’s quite the unfair advantage, isn’t it... Are there tier 4 lifeforms? I’d like to experience this feeling too!" Long Yi sulked.
"Of course there’re Tier 4 lifeforms. They’re the humans, created by you bunch of dim-witted giants," said the Cyclops.
"Huh? Then why can’t I read the minds of humans?"
"How would I know? But, looking at you now, you don’t seem much of a giant," the Cyclops answered.
"Alright... Anyway, wait. You didn’t suddenly show up just to kill , did you?" Long Yi felt the conversation had deviated and quickly got back to the point.
"Of course not. If I wanted to kill you, would I wait till now? Did I rember wrongly? I thought giants were never this stupid."
"So, what are you here for?"
When Long Yi asked this, the Cyclops’ light dimd a bit, seemingly more serious.
"Indeed, I am one of the 99,999 ssengers dispatched by the last god of this multiverse before her death, inheriting one ninety-nine-thousand-nine-hundred-ninety-ninth of the Divine Status. Today, I formally request your assistance."
Said the Cyclops.
"Request my assistance?" Long Yi was stumped.
"Yes, request your assistance, or to be precise, the assistance of the giants." The Cyclops spoke earnestly.
"Alright, let’s not talk about you being a god for now. Rather, what exactly do you need help with?"
"Actually... that’s the biggest problem." The Cyclops seed to be filled with uncertainty as he said this.
"I don’t know either." (To be continued. If you liked this novel, feel free to vote and support us on qidian. Your support offers the greatest motivation. Mobile users please visit m.qidian to read.)
