What was Long Yi thinking when he ca here to establish his own kingdom? Was he so bored without a war to fight that he wanted to play emperor himself?
With various guesses in mind, ambassadors from different countries flocked to the Gentle Wind Empire. It was an expansive plain as ever, but as they got closer to the Imperial City, they encountered so strange creatures.
First were so wolves. These wolves moved in packs around the area. When the ambassadorial group bent closer, the wolves would stick around for a while, then retreat in packs.
Wolves weren’t unusual. The place was filled with plains, and the packs of wolves were enormous.
However, these wolves were peculiarly large. Nearly as high as a war horse on average! Each of them had a crystal in the center of their forehead and were surrounded by Dragon Power — highly suspicious. The wolves didn’t attack the group, though. They just left as if they had made so sort of inspection.
Next were a herd of rhinoceroses.
People were familiar with rhinos, but this herd seed too big. Just standing there, almost like the Dragon Clan. The whole body was covered in heavy bone armor adorned with runes and, under the flickering glow of the runes were – surprisingly – Fighting Aura shields!
How odd!
So very odd!
Then, on the horizon, there appeared a massive castle. Around the castle, a flock of falcons aimlessly glided in the air.
One falcon swooped down from the air, emitting a shrill cry. Its massive wings stretching over fifteen ters in length, even larger than the Thunder Eagles, and wrapped around the falcon was a Gale! Looking closer, you could see runes covering the entirety of its feathers!
Just as all the peculiar animals before, the falcon took one look and flew high into the sky once again.
It was at that mont that soone finally realized it.
"Could these animals be warriors created by Long Yi?"
Suddenly, it all clicks for everyone.
Long Yi had previously modified many creatures back when he was in the White Dragon Empire, even the mbers of the Dragon Clan couldn’t escape his influence. With their current condition, it fits entirely with what was typical of Long Yi!
"Very likely!" Almost everyone agreed with this guess.
As the ambassadorial group approached, they finally saw the colossal fortress in the distance.
It was a gigantic fort almost entirely made up of steel. It stood out in the middle of the plains. You could see traces of the steel casting all around, along with so patches of rust. The fort’s combat area wasn’t very large. Even a regular Imperial Palace might be larger, but it still looked extrely solid and steadfast. The tallic scent wafting through the air around them allowed the people to feel the bulk of the steel fort.
However, when everyone walked into the fort, they saw a completely different scene.
There were artificial mountains, fountains, flowers, adorable animals, and beautiful girls scattered throughout the area.
What kingdom-establishnt! This must be created to satisfy that bastard Long Yi’s specific fantasies, right?
At this mont, countless people overflowed with envy, jealousy, and fury.
Yes, this truly was a very cozy place to be in.
It didn’t feel like a fort at all. It felt more like they had arrived in the backyard of so ultra-rich tycoon.
There were living quarters, an entertainnt zone, a fighting training area, and even a not-so-small kitchen space.
All these combined gave people the impression of a filthy-rich kid buying a villa sowhere and showing off to everyone.
The most disturbing part? He had gone and established a kingdom!
Moreover, he had obtained acknowledgnt from several of the most powerful nations in the world!
Who’d dare not recognize this?
At that mont, the master of this castle was touring the fortress with the Emperor of the White Dragon Empire.
"Look, take a look at this Night Pearl – I got this especially from Sea Emperor Boris! There aren’t many even under the sea! Look at those artificial mountains, they’re the work of a Dwarven Master. I pleaded for several days to have them made. Look at these ingredients, they’re all fresh! I got a few Gale Falcons to catch them for specially! I assure you that they are all untad ga!"
Long Yi, while pulling along Kirei, boasted about every single thing he saw.
Kirei’s eyes and the corners of his mouth were trembling continuously.
Back then, when he told Long Yi to figure out a way, his solution was for Long Yi to make his way first to the Gentle Wind Plain, with three reasons.
First, the Gentle Wind Plain was theoretically part of the territory of the White Dragon Empire, making it easier to provide support if needed.
Second, there was a spatial rift in the Gentle Wind Plain that led directly to the Crystal Demon Plane. If there was great danger, Long Yi could hide there.
Third, the Gentle Wind Plain was an open plain offering no cover. If the Dragon Clan attacked, they could be seen from far off.
Based on these three reasons, Long Yi agreed to Kirei’s advice. At that ti, Kirei wanted to help Long Yi build so basic facilities on the Gentle Wind Plain, but Long Yi refused, stating he could manage on his own. Over the past year, Kirei had no idea how Long Yi had managed to put up a steel castle because Kirei has been extrely busy. The war had just ended, and as the emperor, he was sward with matters that required his personal attention. He didn’t have the ti to make a personal trip. So, he had no clue what exactly Long Yi has done within this castle.
Kirei naturally had complete trust in Long Yi. However, the last thing he expected was for Long Yi to have turned this castle into a small comfort zone!
Hang on, how does this not match what was agreed?
When Long Yi left previously, he indeed seed to be in a hurry, but how does he seem like a different person only a year later?
Long Yi saw the confusion on Kirei’s face and let out a mysterious smile.
Long Yi’s smile was sothing Kirei was too familiar with. Back in the White Dragon Empire, Kirei had seen this smile more than once. Every ti Long Yi showed that smile, they all knew he was about to pull off sothing amazing.
As expected, Long Yi led Kirei towards the kitchen, opening the frost-filled storage room. Inside the room, he flipped open the floorboard. Below the floorboard were complex arrays, though they were small.
"This array was made by Bajie. It’ll take us sowhere amazing."
Bang!
Kirei only felt darkness before his eyes when an earthy scent hit him.
Long Yi pushed open a door, and beyond the door, it was blindingly bright.
