Cure the Dragon Clan!

When this idea first appeared in his mind, Long Yi’s initial reaction was to be startled by himself.

At least in the eyes of so Dragon Clan, Giants have always been viewed as their mortal enemies. But the answers Long Yi had found from various directions indicated that the Giants didn’t harbor hard feelings about the Dragons’ past betrayal and sneak attack. Whether they had let bygones be bygones, or whether there were hidden truths in this matter, Long Yi didn’t know. What he did know was that curing the Dragon Clan entailed great risks.

If one day the Dragon Clan could return to Dragon Star, what would they do with the humans who had once subjugated them?

Even if only one in ten Dragons attempted to exterminate humans, humanity was sure to be wiped out.

This would be far more difficult than it initially seed.

But this was indeed a potential breakthrough.

Long Yi was eager to find out what had happened to the Dragon Clan back in those days. Especially when more than half of the Dragon Clan did not support it, they rashly attacked the Giants - a peaceful race that was completely uninvolved in worldly affairs. There was no point in attacking the Giants.

To unravel these mysteries, Long Yi had to establish a very good relationship with the Dragon Clan.

Obviously, his current relationship with them was in a terrible state.

But what if the Dragon Clan knew that Long Yi had a way to cure them?

Just putting himself in their shoes, if he were powerless and ’done for’...

Long Yi could practically feel his hair standing on end.

Nonsense! What nonsense is this!

In any case, this was going to be a massive temptation for the Dragon Clan!

Then, the Dragon Clan would surely regard him as a person who could not be eliminated! However, most of them did not know that Long Yi was a Giant! That being said, he would have to find a really good excuse for doing this.

Fortunately, Long Yi was strange enough on a regular basis, and no matter how bizarre things would get, it wouldn’t be such a big deal, right?

The more he thought about it, the more feasible it seed!

I’m truly a genius! A great genius!

While Long Yi was still imrsed in his fantasy, the snoring noises of Bajie and Xiaoyou had already started to fill the air.

Who should he start with?

Bajie was a Demon Abyss Dragon, and maybe lacked the persuasion power.

Then he should start with Xiaoyou.

He woke up Xiaoyou and let it show its true form.

Of course, its true form was still asleep.

Long Yi held the Giant’s scepter in his hand and began to check Xiaoyou’s life-chain sequence in contrast.

Most of Xiaoyou’s life-chain was similar to that of the Black Dragon, but the skin and muscle part had changed.

Then he compared the part responsible for reproduction.

Long Yi discovered that Xiaoyou didn’t have this part of the genes at all.

Comparatively, Bajie did have it.

Huh?

Bajie is a female dragon?

Long Yi was dumbfounded.

He couldn’t tell the sex of the dragons, he instinctively called Bajie his brother. But he didn’t expect that Bajie was actually a female dragon? Was this a sister relationship?

Well, it didn’t matter whether it was a brother or sister, the racial gap was rather significant anyways.

Wait a minute!

Long Yi suddenly stumbled upon a major issue!

Tyl, as a pureblood dragon, should have been cursed as well. So, how was Bajie born?

Could it be in human form?

After much deliberation, could maintaining a human form be the only plausible explanation?

However, the human forms of the Dragon Clan are completely separate beings from their dragon forms, sharing the sa soul but nothing else! Is that even possible?

Long Yi starts to scratch his head.

Forget it, perhaps I’ll understand in the future. Let’s focus on how to save the Dragon Clan for now.

Next is the application of the Dragon Power.

Similar to mitochondria, the bodies of the Dragon Clan also contain objects that generate a massive amount of Dragon Power, stored throughout their bodies. However, they can’t actually harness Dragon Power. After Long Yi’s examination, he realized this is because the Dragon Clan cannot transform Dragon Power into Fighting Aura or Mana. Pure Dragon Power is a very stable force. Dragon Breath, found within almost all dragon breaths, results from igniting this Dragon Power and is a rather crude and straightforward application of it.

So, how do humans use it?

Long Yi starts searching within himself for an answer and finds, much to his surprise, that a minuscule mitochondria companion exists in every living creature in this world, from giants to humans, even animals. These companions combine with mitochondria and convert Dragon Power into either Fighting Aura or Mana, as required. However, these companions are absent in the Dragon Clan!

No! They do exist! After carefully examining Xiaoyou’s body, Long Yi notices a shrunken structure next to the Dragon Clan’s mitochondria, an obviously undeveloped mitochondrial companion!

Upon discovering this, Long Yi is increasingly awed by the Giants’ level of technological advancent. Even though cloning technology in Long Yi’s world allowed for the creation of life to a certain extent, the genes used were already in existence. However, the Giants could modify certain genetic materials- or ’life chains’ as they are referred to in this world. Moreover, these modifications were done on an unprecedented universal scale! Just how powerful was the Giants’ science?!

Having found the root cause, Long Yi can now search for a solution.

Without knowing how the Giants specifically defined these mitochondrial companions, Long Yi tried nurous keywords. Unsurprisingly, he’s unable to find any relevant definitions. Feeling helpless, Long Yi simply inputs ’mitochondrial companion’. Miraculously, the tablet provides an answer.

Mitochondrial companion, a micro-organ that absorbs and transforms energy, which exists inside most living beings and can be safely removed without any side effects.

Indeed, the Giants mastered this technology!

Long Yi read the contents carefully. The mitochondrial companion is referred to as an organ. Its internal structure is very complex, but amazingly enough, the tiny cells are arranged in intricate Runes!

This is absolutely insane!

The gods of this universe must be incredibly bored.

So what about recovery?

As Long Yi tries to read the recovery instructions, an error ssage pops up instead.

"Warning, you are attempting to access encrypted information. Please confirm if you have Pioneer access rights."

Pioneer? That is !

Long Yi places his hand on the tablet and a light scans him.

"Pioneer rights recognized, information unlocked"

Then, the tablet goes dark.

A familiar face appears in front of Long Yi.

It is the owner of the tablet, the young giant.

However, the giant no longer exudes the previous flamboyance. His beard is unkempt, giving him a rather rundown appearance.

"Well, either way, you uncovered the secret." The young man states, "Actually, I didn’t want to. I won’t be able to face my friend Asus afterward. However, my father is very angry, as are the Councilors. They decided to teach the Dragon Clan a lesson by taking away their ability to procreate and use any form of energy. They have essentially been turned into high-level beasts. Everyone believed that under such pressure, the Dragon Clan would surrender and reveal why they attacked us. However, the results are clear to both of us, Pioneer. They would rather face extermination than reveal a word. Actually, a terrifying rumor is circulating among my father and colleagues recently that most people dare not believe. Nevertheless, I think we might leave the universe for a while. Now that you’ve found the secret, Pioneer, the power is in your hands. You can choose to help the Dragon Clan lift the curse or continue to let them suffer. Of course, within your power, you could even exterminate all Dragon Clan mbers. However, I beg you not to do that. We are giants - we create and we change, but we do not slaughter."

The video ends here. Next are the specific steps to restore the Dragon Clan’s strength.

It’s complicated, but not difficult to understand. Long Yi can achieve it with the authority of a Giant.

Long Yi extracts so Dragon Blood from a sleeping Xiaoyou for testing. The Giant’s scepter emits a flickering light as the Giant Power within Long Yi’s body get consud at an unprecedented speed. Creating and changing are things the Giants love to do, and the more complex the process, the more Giant Power is consud. In order to create this antidote, Long Yi nearly exhausted all his Giant Power! If the remainder were converted into Divine Power, Long Yi would have enough for about three or four uses.

Finally, the red Dragon Blood becos a transparent liquid. This liquid will cause significant changes within Xiaoyou!

Injecting the liquid into Xiaoyou’s muscles, Long Yi observes through the tablet that the previously wilted mitochondrial companion changes instantly upon contact with the antidote. This change is not slow, and Xiaoyou, who has been sleeping, imdiately opens her eyes, looking at Long Yi quizzically. She could feel a strange yet familiar force spreading throughout her body!

"I just injected you with antidote. From now on, you can freely use Fighting Aura and Mana," said Long Yi with a weary smile. He rarely exhausts his Giant Power, especially not in such a short span of ti. Even he is feeling a bit overwheld.

Xiaoyou nods with a rather confused look on her face. She could clearly feel that the previously suppressed Dragon Power stored within her body is now being converted into either Fighting Aura or Mana. Although the speed isn’t very fast, it’s better than nothing!

Dragon Clan mbers inherently know basic Fighting Aura techniques and Magic spells, thanks to their inherited mories. However, they never had an outlet to use them - until now!

The injection site on Xiaoyou’s forelimb is the current focal point of her Fighting Aura. Xiaoyou lifts her front limb, the Fighting Aura erupts, and her already sharp claws suddenly emit four streaks of sharp light similar to a Dragon-slaying Sword!

Xiaoyou carefully glides the sharp light across the ground, effortlessly slicing through rock and leaving four significant scars on it!

"Congratulations, Xiaoyou. You may be the first Dragon Clan mber who can use Fighting Aura in nearly ten thousand years." (To be continued. If you like this work, please co to qidian to vote or donate. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile phone users can read on m.qidian.)
