Boom!
When the brilliance of the light cannon shone on Dean Ma Deburg of the Crystal Core Research Institute, his excited expression was a complete contrast to his normal calm deanor!
"Crystal Core Cannon! It’s actually the Crystal Core Cannon!" Ma Deburg roared.
"Nice, isn’t it?" Long Yi laughed, setting down the light cannon.
"More than just nice! It’s simply amazing! It’s identical to the light emitted by our White Dragon!" Ma Deburg exclaid.
"It’s slightly less powerful than the Dragon’s Breath, but the key point is, we don’t need to rely on Dragons!" Ding Ge, the ntor remarked from the side. Recently, Ding Ge seed to be less busy and had reverted back to his comical effeminate self. However, perhaps due to excitent, his voice seed to regain so masculinity.
"This is a standard power core. So are you planning to equip our battle armor with this light cannon?" Angidd, the Dean of the chanical Research Institute, proved his rit by realizing Long Yi’s intention almost imdiately.
"Yes, that’s exactly what I planned." Long Yi responded with a smile.
"I knew it!" Angidd exclaid, swinging his fist in the air.
"It doesn’t matter what we call it, light cannon or crystal core cannon, the power speaks for itself. Let’s discuss how to attach the gun barrel now." Long Yi proposed.
Long Yi hadn’t thought about adding a light cannon to the battle armor during its initial developnt, so he hadn’t considered providing an interface for it. Fortunately, the battle armor had a set of interfaces on the back, originally designed for attaching equipnt for battlefield deploynt. Now, two of these attachnts would be used for the light cannon, but there were still plenty of attachnts left over.
Designing the base for the light cannon, the armor protecting the cannon, and the joint movent device.
Long Yi experienced first-hand the advantages of magic. He had initially planned to connect the light cannon to the arm of the armor, but realized this would hinder the close-quarter combat flexibility of the armor.
So, he casually remarked that it would be great if one could aim just by looking in the direction.
Ding Ge, the ntor laughed at the idea.
Isn’t aiming with your gaze a basic action when casting magic? Is that hard?
Within three days, Angidd, together with ntor Ding Ge, created an automatic targeting system!
Using the invisible glasses provided by Ma Deburg as the controller, the base of the light cannon automatically aid at the focus point of the soldier’s right eye.
Long Yi felt deeply helpless. Although gaze-aiming was not unusual in his world, getting it done within three days was terrifyingly efficient!
As Long Yi was pondering, Ding Ge, the ntor laughed and said,
"Although it only took three days, it is the result of more than a decade of accumulated technology!"
Long Yi couldn’t help but laugh sheepishly. He had underestimated the power of empirical knowledge. The heads of these research institutes were not idle when he was away!
Drilling holes in the back of the armor, welding new components, and using mithril cables to connect the power from the power core to the new light cannon base.
Soon, a light cannon protected by triangular plates was attached to the back of the armor. The joint device could control the light cannon to adjust the direction within a frontal cone of sixty degrees.
"Co on, ti for our experint nominee to have a test shot!"
Long Yi said.
Then, Emperor Kirei arrived.
Kirei had no idea what Long Yi had been making during this ti. All those Dragons’ Knight Order Leaders had gone to the emperor to inquire about the origin of the beautiful young warriors that Long Yi had raised, and why he did not incorporate so of them into their Dragon Knight Legion. The Emperor could only tell them that, even as the emperor, he didn’t know where Long Yi got these powerful and identical beauties. If they wanted them, they could only go to Long Yi himself.
When they went to Long Yi’s camp, they discovered he was nowhere to be found. Unable to inquire the camp of beautiful won and three unreliable young n, the leaders of the Dragons’ Knight Order returned empty-handed.
Now, Long Yi suddenly erged again in the Imperial Research Institute. Not only did he appear, but he also stayed there for a full four days! Moreover, he also added a light cannon to the battle armor!
This surprise was totally unexpected! There was no preparation at all!
Kirei had his own set of battle armor, but unlike his father, he had left it in the storage of the battle armor. The battle armor is locked to the user, and unless the user dies or voluntarily transfers the right of use, the armor cannot be used by others. Forcibly attempting to change the user will cause the core of the armor to overload and burn all energy circuits.
The first automatically targeting battle armor modified by Long Yi belonged to the Emperor. As Long Yi drilled holes and welded on the Emperor’s beloved armor, the Deans could only smile wryly. In their eyes, the imperium was still supre.
But in Long Yi’s mind...
Damn it, who knew how this little bastard Long Yi thought!
Now, Kirei was here. His heart throbbed with excitent as he looked at the brand-new battle armor. Obviously, Long Yi had taken absolutely no heed of his words to ’inform Kirei what he was going to do’.
Well, since Long Yi was doing it for the Empire, let him do what he wanted to do. Kirei was quite open-minded about it.
Ma Deburg handed over a lens, which was a proud creation of his. Originally, he had planned to produce a batch, but since there were no imdiate prospects, production was halted. Now, they could definitely be continued!
The armored figure stepped heavily towards the shooting range.
On Kirei’s right eye was a crosshair, which Long Yi specifically requested. It had to be a crosshair. When he looked in a certain direction, an X-shaped crosshair would move along with him. This indicated the aiming position of the light cannon. When the two crosshairs overlapped, it ant that the light cannon had aid at the target of the gaze.
"Fire!"
Boom!
A beam of light shot out from the gun barrel, blasting a large hole directly in the steel plate.
"My goodness, this is just like the Dragon Breath of the White Dragon!" Kirei exclaid.
"Mm, you’re the second person to say that," Long Yi chuckled.
"It takes one minute to recharge. As long as we can be patient enough to wait a minute, this light cannon doesn’t have any consumption," said Long Yi.
One minute later, a humming sound ca from inside the light cannon, followed by a ding.
Boom!
Another beam of light gushed out, smashing another large hole in that thick steel plate.
"Of course, if you’re impatient, you can forcibly fire once every three seconds, continuously for twenty shots. Then it will go into twenty minutes of forced recharging ti", Long Yi continued to explain.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Kirei fired nineteen consecutive shots, and then the light cannon responded no more.
"Perfect! Amazing!"
When Kirei erged from the armor, his face was flushed, and his heartbeat was already racing with excitent.
"But there’s one problem, the vibration of the battle armor caused my lens to fall out."
Kirei turned and found the small contact lens through the gaps in the armor. But it was already shattered and unusable.
"Ah, how can it be?" Ma Deburg had planned to mass-produce a batch, but he didn’t expect this thing to be so fragile.
"No problem, let’s now discuss a helt that can be commonly used by our Dragon Knights and our warriors," Long Yi said with a smile.
The first object that Long Yi had shown off his helt to was Elsa. The cunning Elsa had successfully hit him then. However, Long Yi was not discouraged, as this thing was definitely of no use to Elsa. For the Dragon Knights, especially due to one specific function, it was very useful.
For example, auto color-changing, and for example, balancing air pressure.
The automatic color changing was self-explanatory. Traditional aerial combat requires extensive use of the sun’s advantage. If a helt could automatically dim the sunlight, the chance of successful counterattack would greatly increase. The so-called balance of air pressure was not actually an auto air pressure balancing function, but rather a function to reduce the wind pressure when moving at high speed. Dragon Knights couldn’t always use the fighting aura to shield themselves as that would hinder movent. Therefore, if there was sothing that could reduce wind pressure, the effect would absolutely exceed the ordinary Dragon Knight helts.
When Long Yi described this system, the Emperor naturally agreed. Angidd believed there would be no chanical difficulties. For Professor Ding Ge, works of Arrays were trifling. When everyone turned their gaze to Ma Deburg, he then gave a wry expression and said,
"You’re eying my Crystal Cores again!"
Crystal Cores?
Long Yi was taken aback for a mont.
"Oh right, I’ve gotten so more Crystal Cores recently. Give a larger space," Long Yi said.
A larger space?
With a pouted mouth, Ma Deburg found an underground warehouse for Long Yi.
"Not enough, it’s small," Long Yi said.
So, Ma Deburg found a second warehouse for Long Yi.
"Still not enough."
Ma Deburg suddenly felt his heartbeat accelerate.
And when Ma Deburg watched helplessly as the Crystal Cores filled three small warehouses, he felt like he couldn’t even feel his own heartbeat anymore!
The happiness ca too fast, he didn’t even have a chance to react!
The matter of the helts was settled. Before Long Yi could leave, Emperor Kirei took him away directly.
The Emperor told Long Yi that the White Dragon Empire’s plan to forge JIA coins had quietly comnced. They had forged the first one million fake Black Dragon coins. Thanks to the old workers and technicians from the Black Dragon Empire’s minting factory and expert coin makers from within the country, the quality of the first batch of coins was excellent. Unless soone really familiar with the coin caught it, or if it were to be weighed, it would be almost indistinguishable.
Initially, these coins were ready for delivery, but the Emperor was still worried. Since this plan was set by Long Yi, it was necessary for him to check it out before it was sent out.
The forgery factory was not in the Imperial City, but in a remote small village. On the surface, it looked like a peaceful, ordinary village. In reality, this was a fake village, populated by White Dragon Empire warriors. These warriors, with extrely high salaries, maintained their lives here all year round, for the sake of doing sothing under their guise.
Forging Black Dragon coins naturally belonged to one of these things.(To be continued. If you like this work, please co to qidian to recomnd this book, and vote for monthly access. Your support is my greatest motivation. If you are using a mobile phone, please read at m.qidian.)
