Selena was startled, quickly lifting her head to see Elsa but montarily unsure of what to say.
Elsa, in her pure white attire, was beautiful and elusive. Her golden-tinged wings shimred slightly behind her. The tiny white dragon crouched on her shoulder, its piercing gaze full of vigilance. Elsa, however, stared at Selena’s chest, remaining immobile.
The two sisters locked eyes, ti slowly passing within their mutual gaze.
"Why didn’t you tell father about this?" Selena asked. "If he knew that I personally ended the life of the most precious genius of the Celestial Clan, he would definitely sever my wings and cast into the abyss to be devoured by demons."
"There’s no need for that. In actuality, our father didn’t seem particularly pleased with my birth, I could see the surprise in his eyes, but no joy. Furthermore, I can guess how you were able to abduct from within the heavily guarded Heavenly Palace. Lastly, even though I was very young back then, I was aware of the prophecy about myself."
"What! How could you..." Selena, completely taken aback, blurted out in shock, her eyes wide. Apparently, the word ’prophecy’ was a matter of great concern to her.
"You should know, us mbers of the Celestial Clan awaken our consciousness very early. You had your awakening at one year old, and our genius elder sister had hers at five months. But do you know when I had my awakening?"
"When was... that..." Selena’s heart pounded wildly.
"The mont I uttered my first cry," said Elsa. "The instant I took my first breath of this world’s air, my consciousness awakened. Then I heard the words spoken by the prophet to our father. I — Elsa— the ominous child born with Light Wings!"
Selena was utterly shocked. She never would have expected that her seemingly dim-witted younger sister had such an early awakening!
"Can you imagine everyone pretending to be nice to whilst loathing ? Can you imagine our father putting on a smiling face every ti he sees , yet constantly planning to get rid of , his so-called calamity? So when I knew that you were going to abduct that night, I didn’t run, didn’t escape. I just hoped you would hurry up and kill , so everyone around can be happy."
"Even though back then I was only three years old and indeed capable of reducing you to ashes with a single blow, I didn’t do it. I rely stood there, silently awaiting death."
"Do you really think I didn’t know the one who severed my Light Wings back then was my own father?!"
"As it turns out, my decision was right. Back then, the Heaven Realm did not belong to ."
On Ai Lin’s expressionless little face, a hint of warmth surfaced.
Then, the two shrouded themselves in silence once more.
Selena was dumbfounded. She thought everything was flawless, but she never expected that Elsa knew everything from the beginning! Thinking of when she was deceiving Elsa, the forced smile on her face wasn’t due to her being young and naive, but rather her helplessness!
How did it co to this?!
"If you’re here to seek revenge, I’m afraid you’ve already missed your best chance." After a while, Selena finally spoke. Her Light Wings behind shone brightly once again, and the hidden pain in her chest had also disappeared.
"Don’t you understand, Selena. I’ve already told you, I have obtained sothing far more precious in the Lower Plane. Maybe in the beginning, I was always thinking about revenge, but now, I’m not interested in you anymore," said Elsa.
"Then, why are you here?" Selena was on guard against Elsa, because she instinctively perceived Elsa’s strength. It seed unimaginable because Elsa looked like she had just recovered her strength. She only had one wing shining, indicating that her power was at the first level of the Heavenly Soul. Yet, Selena already had the power of six Heavenly Souls, with six wings flanking her. The gap between their abilities was enormous. However, Selena still felt uneasy because Elsa’s wing, at a re first level Heavenly Soul, shone brighter than hers at six levels of Heavenly Soul.
"I just want to hear your cries of fear, out of your mouth and from your heart," Elsa finished, turning around to leave.
"Cries of fear?" Selena laughed, "who in this Heavenly Palace is capable of making feel fear? Making wail?"
Elsa stopped, turned around, and walked slowly to Selena. Her pointed heels echoed on the polished floor.
"My dear sister Selena." Elsa stretched out a finger, lightly touching Selena’s chest, "Did father truly know everything you did to back then?"
With Elsa’s words, Selena’s beautiful face lost all color.
