"As red stars fall from the sky and the earth is torn asunder, the war is coming to an end, but we are the losers. We shall (text damaged) ... It’s a hard decision, but everyone is smiling. That planet (text damaged)... When that day cos, flas will burst forth and light shall finally arrive."
A war?
A war of the Giants?
With whom?
And they lost?
Long Yi is a Giant, and although the knowledge he has inherited has been sealed, he knows very clearly that it’s not easy for anyone to defeat a Giant. Although Long Yi can’t express the strength of the Giants, in his vague impression, it seems commonplace for Giants and the Dragon Clan to fight one on one!
Could the failure in this war be the reason for the Giants’ disappearance?
Did the Giants disappear because of sothing like this?
Are these ancient relics all left behind by the Giants?
At first, Long Yi was only murmuring in his heart, but because of his surprise, by the ti he reached the last sentence, he had already softly voiced the words he saw. Unbeknownst to him, a few old n had already been standing behind Long Yi.
"Child, can you fully read these characters?"
The old man who had previously translated the sa characters as Long Yi asked. He didn’t doubt that Long Yi had eavesdropped on their conversation because that sentence, "when that day cos" was translated by Long Yi himself. This surprised them greatly as the deciphering of the ancient text has always been a challenge in the archaeological circles of various countries. Even as professionals, they need to discuss it to reach a conclusion, and this big guy could interpret it just like that?
"I recognize so." Innocent Long Yi tried to hold back the inexplicable sadness in his eyes.
"Who is your tutor?" The old man asked.
"A ... quirky elf." Yavenny imdiately appeared in Long Yi’s mind, he certainly couldn’t say that he himself was a Giant, right?
"Ah! An elf, that figures." Said another old man.
Elves are naturally quirky. And Elves, being long-lived and bored, it wouldn’t be surprising if soone knew ancient language.
"So, do you know what story is being described here?" The first elder who asked Long Yi inquired.
"The losers of the war, facing defeat squarely." Long Yi said.
The elders looked at each other, this answer was similar to the one they’d analyzed.
"Youngster, take another look at this piece of stone." The old man gestured to Long Yi and walked to the next stone.
"Thief! Thief! Thief! ..."
A whole piece of stone had ’Thief’ written all over it. Who knows, what extent of resentnt would it take to write this much?
"The next one." The old man was very excited,
On the giant rock, using extrely complex syntax and ornate vocabulary, it only told this sentence.
Long Yi stood in front of the rock, fell silent, then lowered his head, clenched both of his fists, and forced out a sentence between his teeth.
"We, leave."
For so reason, the tears in Long Yi’s eyes flowed uncontrollably. Pain and humiliation sward Long Yi’s heart, the words on the stone, originally suppose to be firm, were filled with helplessness.
What, exactly, had happened?
The old man looked at Long Yi, sowhat surprised, he could vaguely interpret the characters, but could not understand the context of those words. Clearly, this child understood the feelings of the person who wrote the characters!
"I’m sorry, let be alone for a while." Long Yi said.
Although the old man didn’t want to let him go, since he had spoken up he had no choice. So he nodded his head and left slowly. But had he known what was happening to Long Yi, he might have been scared enough to run off!
At this mont, waves of severe pain were sweeping through Long Yi’s heart. His Fine Gold right arm was gradually losing control, a small arc slipped over his arm. An inexplicable grief and rage were spreading in his heart, growing vigorously.
And steadily, losing control.
"Calm down, Long Yi."
A gentle voice echoed in Long Yi’s ear, it was Yavenny’s voice.
Long Yi felt lighter, opened his eyes, managed to walk to a corner, and sat down. His right fist clenched and propped on the ground. Right away, the ground where his fist made contact gradually turned red, and lted! Half of his fist sank in!
"Even if I’m slow-witted, I still figured out what happened." Long Yi lifted his fist, the ground gradually cooled again, but a fist mark remained.
"I don’t know what you’ve guessed, but things are far more complicated than you think." Yavenny said.
"So you still can’t tell ?" Long Yi asked.
"No, the more I see your reaction, the more I’m certain I can’t. You have to know, I’ve already promised soone that I absolutely can’t tell you about this." Yavenny said.
"Why?"
"Why? Do you want to turn into a giant right now?" Yavenny chuckled.
"Why can’t I?" Long Yi felt a mysterious fire in his belly.
"Because you will die, Ai Lin will die, Elsa will die, your good brothers will die. The White Dragon Empire will beco extinct and your world will be destroyed." Yavenny said.
"Bullshit! You’re trying to scare !" Long Yi’s anger began to surge again.
"Hehe, little brother, you need to calm down, not get angry at , I’m not your enemy."
"Then who is my enemy?" At the mont, Long Yi desperately needed an enemy to vent his anger. He felt inexplicably sad and angry, but there was nowhere to vent these feelings.
