"Well then, do you have any interest in my empire?" the Emperor asked again.
"Your Majesty, you must be out of your mind. Why on earth would I be interested in your bloody empire?" Long Yi retorted.
"You could have wealth beyond asure, untold won, the authority to execute anyone who displeases you," said the Emperor.
"Your Majesty... is it your brains that’s ssed up, or my ears, or are you trying to toy with ?" Long Yi increasingly felt that the Emperor had gone off his rocker.
"There’s nothing wrong with my head," said the Emperor.
"Then tell , don’t you already have untold wealth? Don’t you already have countless won? Haven’t you executed anyone who displeased you?"
"No, I haven’t."
"Then how could I possibly have those?"
"Yes. You did say that if you desire it, you can have it."
"Damn! Are you out of your mind? Did the Emperor get scared stupid? Just spit it out, if you keep on like this, don’t bla for losing my temper. My fists are already itching for action." Long Yi was on the verge of going mad. This is why he despised politicians, they had sothing to say but they never said it directly. Didn’t they know that ti is of the essence on the battlefield? Wasting ti was like pushing soldiers into a furnace.
What in the world was this damned Emperor trying to do?
Seeing Long Yi about to lose it, the Emperor finally chuckled and said: "Actually, I just wanted to know if you are truly loyal to this country."
"I, Long Yi, am of course loyal to this country!"
Phew!
With a punch aid at the Emperor’s face, it stopped just shy of hitting the Emperor’s nose, but the ensuing gust made the Emperor stumble backwards. Even though Long Yi hadn’t gone full strength, the Emperor’s nose started to bleed.
"That’s good. With your assurance, I can rest easy." The Emperor smiled.
"Personally, I feel even more nervous now. Your Majesty, why don’t you stop beating around the bush and tell what you’re planning on doing? Let be clear, don’t try to set a trap for to fall into. If you push too hard, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do – except to betray the country." Long Yi grabbing the Emperor’s collar and growled in a low voice; the Emperor was at his rcy, lifted off the ground.
"Don’t worry, like I said, you are talented, incredibly talented. I haven’t beco senile enough to drive away talent," said the Emperor.
"So, are you just playing house?" Long Yi suddenly had an urge to punch the Emperor.
At this point, the look on the Emperor’s face changed as he asked with a seemingly somber expression: "Long Yi, what do you think of the second prince?"
The second prince?
When Long Yi thought of the second prince, he couldn’t help but chuckle at the first thing that ca to mind. He let go of the Emperor and smiled, "He’s a good man, full of comical talent."
"Comical?" The Emperor also laughed. With his intelligence network, it was only natural that he knew about what happened between Long Yi and the second prince. However, the fact that a ridiculous joke could make Long Yi giggle so much was quite baffling.
"So, do you think he could beco an Emperor who surpasses ?" asked the Emperor again.
This question was touchy. An Emperor was asking a stranger whether his own son would make a good King; any answer was, in essence, asking for trouble.
"Your Majesty, it’s better if you figure this out yourself. Don’t ask . It’s not a question I should answer. Let be clear once again, I have no interest in becoming the Emperor, nor would I commit treason. My only ambition is to control the skies. As for who can beco the Emperor, that’s not my concern." At this point, Long Yi’s face changed as he spoke in a strange tone, "Your Majesty, please have rcy! I’ve only just reached adulthood! I’m only in third grade! I’m still a child! What you’re saying is too complicated! I don’t understand! I’m not smart enough!"
Long Yi started causing a ruckus.
The Emperor couldn’t help but smile. He had never imagined this side of Long Yi.
"Alright, alright, you can go now. I don’t even know why I am asking you these things,"
On hearing the Emperor’s words, Long Yi imdiately put him down and took off running. The Emperor shook his head, only then did he notice his nose was bleeding. He looked up to see that Long Yi was already out of sight.
"Your Majesty..." Emperor’s loyal servant Gav erged from the shadows.
"It’s better to hear so things directly from him. Long Yi is involved in many complex matters. His every move has a significant impact, so I had no choice but to bring up this issue directly," the Emperor said.
"Indeed, the old Black Dragon, Tyl, seems to always be after Long Yi. Elsa, the most powerful Guardian Dragon Rider is his girlfriend. Tyron, the Iron Blood General, has a granddaughter whose relationship with him seems quite complicated.
