So, just leave like this? It feels a bit unsatisfactory to depart after coming all this way, only to have had a cursory look around.
While pondering, a Dragon Beast struggled out from the Primordial Substance, roaring while it contended with the struggle. As it did so, so rocks, shaken loose, fell onto the Primordial Substance and then slowly sank into it.
Long Yi barely suppressed a smile, opportunity!
Disguised as a rock, he too fell onto the Primordial Substance, which imdiately surged over in an attempt to digest the rock surrounding Long Yi. However, the rock Long Yi had chosen to hide within had the sa composition as the useless rocks around the draconic form, from which the Primordial Substance couldn’t extract any nutrients. Quickly, a solid layer ford around the Primordial Substance, encapsulating all indigestible rocks within a structure as tough as dragon bones, akin to pearls made by shellfish.
With such a shell in place, Long Yi instantly knew that he was now assured in his ability to navigate within the Primordial Substance!
Inside the Primordial Substance were many complex structures, their primary purpose being the constant production of new Dragon Beasts. The nerve pathways controlling these organs all led to the depths of the Primordial Substance, where also ca the fluctuations of Divine Power.
The mass of Primordial Substance was imnse, and Long Yi drifted for an unknown duration until at last, the Divine Power fluctuations were as clear as if right in front of his eyes, accompanied by the wave-like undulations of the gluttonous snake.
"You foolish Magic life form, you only know to devour my Divine Power! Why won’t you obey !" Another wave of Divine Power fluctuations ca through, and this ti Long Yi could clearly interpret the ssage within.
Along with the Divine Worm’s Divine Power fluctuations ca an explosive hissing from the gluttonous snake.
This hiss was the shriek of the gluttonous snake’s frenzied consumption, just as Simu had said – Long Yi didn’t need to worry about the snake. No matter how the Divine Worm’s projection tried to trap the gluttonous snake, it had to keep pouring more Divine Power to maintain its containnt, because the snake would attempt to devour all energies ensnaring it. Additionally, as the gluttonous snake lacked any notable consciousness, the Worm was unable to communicate or exert any influence over it.
From that point of view, ever since its capture, the gluttonous snake had been endlessly eating!
How co it feels like, despite being trapped, its treatnt has actually improved?
But regardless, it should now be out of danger.
At this mont, Long Yi was rely passively sensing; he didn’t dare actively reach out to the gluttonous snake. It had been over two months since its capture, which ant that the gluttonous snake had been ceaselessly devouring for two whole months. Yet, after a full two months of being devoured, was the Divine Worm’s projection still brimming with Divine Power?
This was simply unimaginable. Simu had ntioned that the Divine Worm’s projection could gain Divine Power by establishing false faith connections with these Dragon Beasts. Long Yi believed this but to such an extent?
Long Yi continued to edge closer to the central region of the Primordial Substance; suddenly, he stopped. At first, Long Yi thought he’d been discovered, and he felt a pang of alarm, but then he realized it wasn’t that he had been discovered. Instead, he had arrived at the inner wall of the Primordial Substance. There was an extrely hard bone-like inner wall on the Primordial Substance, and from what he could feel, it seed the inside of the wall was vacuum-sealed!
Long Yi carefully assessed the feasibility and necessity of taking a risk.
One thing that was certain was that the inside of the Primordial Substance was controlled via a nervous system. For a Primordial Substance structure as huge as a planet, if it were to be controlled rely with Divine Power or energy, it would be imnsely wasteful. The nervous system, though slower and less efficient, wasn’t too much of a problem since the manufacture of each Dragon Beast didn’t happen instantaneously. This control thod was the most energy-efficient. In other words, there was no sensation in areas without nerve bundles inside the Primordial Substance. aning, taking the risk was feasible.
As for necessity, that was even more self-evident; any further understanding of this Worm was a significantly necessary action.
Since both feasibility and necessity existed, there was no reason for hesitation.
Long Yi found a spot devoid of any nerve fibers and let the rocky surface of his body ld with the bone-like Primordial Substance’s inner wall through purely biological ans—it was beneficial to always carry a variety of potions.
Once fully integrated, under the action of dissolving bacteria, the super-thick bone-like substance began to slowly dissolve. The process wasn’t fast at the beginning, but as the bacteria multiplied more rapidly, the dissolving speed also accelerated. Long Yi kept the bacteria under control, constantly using sterilizing agents to prevent the bacteria from dissolving beyond intended areas. Feeling that the thickness was about right, Long Yi didn’t continue to dissolve but instead used a drilling device to bore a tiny hole, and then he extended a snakelike cara through it.
For a Divine Worm projection, as soon as it directly sees you, it becos aware of your presence. Hence, Long Yi used a fully electronic cara because it had been confird that it wouldn’t be detected by the Worm.
The image ca through, and even though Long Yi was prepared, his heart still skipped a beat upon seeing what was displayed.
It was a ghastly pale humanoid creature that looked like a hybrid of a human and a dragon, its head extending nurous nerve bundles, controlling the surrounding Primordial Substance. Within its chest blazed a fierce Divine Power.
