The so-called "door" is a passage between god rings, and around here, everyone calls it "door," so Little Piggy also started calling it "door." But actually, Little Piggy preferred calling it the god ring passage; it sounds so professional, unlike "door," which sounds rather bumpkin-ish.
Upon reappearing, you could see a huge passage entrance in the distance. It just hadn’t opened yet; the god ring passages typically open at set tis. Therefore, people usually avoided getting close, but according to Hum Hum’s calculations, the next opening of the passage was imminent.
As soon as he appeared, a barrage of Divine Power already ca thundering towards him. Mars, who was experienced in combat, didn’t even dodge; he generated a shield with Divine Power and an alloy surface, which blocked the barrage of Divine Power that had co.
"It seems, this place isn’t very peaceful," Hum Hum said.
At that mont, right in front of the passage, there was a massive gathering of divine beings, looking like at least four different Legions were engaged in chaotic combat.
"We’re in luck," Little Piggy Hum Hum boasted proudly. "There are three passages leading from the eighth ring to the seventh, and the one I randomly chose has the most gods! Haha! Jackpot!"
If it were any other god, they would have wished for no one else to be there so they could pass through quietly. But the Darkness deities hoped for more. Because of their strength, all the slightly more powerful gods in the eighth ring steered clear of them. And now, it looked like the gods engaged in warfare were no weaklings!
"The harvest ti has arrived! Sisters! To battle!"
At the command of the Saint of Darkness, all the Golems charged out from beneath Mars and directly joined the fray. They didn’t distinguish which side was which; anyone who appeared before them beca a target for harvesting.
The battlefield, already chaotic, beca even more disordered with the Golems’ onslaught.
In this chaos, it was unknown who suddenly unleashed a surge of Divine Power, "Don’t panic! Let us unite and confront the Darkness deities first! They are only a re three hundred; by killing them and seizing their Divine Status, we will beco much stronger!"
This surge imdiately drew responses from all the gods.
The might of the Darkness deities was well-known throughout the entire eighth ring; countless gods coveted their powerful Divine Status. However, no god had ever dared to provoke the Darkness deities, as all who had attempted this before ended up with the sa fate—death.
But now things were different. Powerhouses from a total of four Legions were gathered here, almost all the top gods of the eighth ring.
In fact, what was transpiring here was the typical Harvest War that occurred each ti the passage opened. Gods who wanted to pass through and those who sought to take advantage of the situation erupted into warfare. Generally, they would avoid each other to prevent a senseless expenditure of forces. But due to a stroke of bad luck, or so inexplicable reason, miscommunication occurred among the Legions, and they ended up clashing together by mistake.
"Right, I have no idea what happened," said Little Piggy Hum Hum, who remained on the surface of Mars, his eyes seemingly twinkling with strange little stars.
There was sothing Mars had never dared to ntion.
Actually, the main reason he returned here wasn’t because of the Darkness deities, but because of this Little Piggy Hum Hum. The Darkness deities might not notice, but Mars could sense the terror in Hum Hum. Inside that little pink body lurked a formidable figure capable of destroying and devouring everything. It was for this reason Mars believed that by following Little Piggy Hum Hum, he might manage to gain so advantage.
The Darkness deities were unaware of what Little Piggy usually busied himself with, as no one would take much notice of a tiny pink pig. But Mars knew that Little Piggy Hum Hum had never been idle; it had left Mars’s sensory range several tis without alerting the Darkness deities, only to sneak back again. Mars suspected that this inexplicable clash of the hunting Legions might very well be Little Piggy’s doing.
However, it was rely a suspicion after all, for Mars had no proof.
"Say, Iron Ball, you’re not thinking about things you shouldn’t be, are you?" Little Piggy Hum Hum stood there, gazing up at the battle above and suddenly spoke.
"No! Not at all! Absolutely not!" Mars quickly responded, as if seeing a huge and ferocious shadow looming behind Hum Hum.
"That’s good. If you behave, you won’t be treated unfairly," Hum Hum said.
"Yes! I understand! I completely understand!" Mars was terrified, not daring to have any objections.
The strength of the Darkness deities was imnse; due to their cheat-like believers, their Divine Power was virtually inexhaustible. And they were always in a peak state of their current Divine Status. This ant that whenever the Darkness deities absorbed a new Divine Status, their level of Divine Power imdiately rose to the peak permitted by that status. Other gods, even after absorbing Divine Status, had to wait for it to rge and then gradually wait for their level of Divine Power to increase.
But the Golems didn’t need to.
Golems were essentially a fusion of life and machinery, capable of integrating Divine Status in an instant through precise calculations enabled by advanced Giant technology. This gave the Golems an imnse advantage.
