The Emperor’s inner thoughts, without deviation, had all already fallen into Long Yi’s consciousness. Crystal Poison had secretly perated the Emperor’s entire brain, but he himself was unaware. Long Yi was unable to control the Emperor, but reading so of his thoughts was still very easy.
After a series of ntal struggles, the Emperor finally summoned Henki and Aisa to enter the Imperial Palace.
Many people thought that the Emperor’s summoning them to the palace at this ti must be a result of the stimulation from the Silver Emperor, seeking to accelerate the developnt of new technology. However, Long Yi and Elsa knew that this was the mont that would decide their victory or defeat.
The Imperial Palace was not crowded; the usually bustling palace was now eerily quiet, as if everyone had hidden away sowhere. A close attendant to the Emperor led Long Yi and Elsa into the Imperial Palace and then headed straight for the lower levels of the palace.
"Where are we going?" Long Yi asked.
"The Imperial secret chamber, where His Majesty the Emperor secretly stores so rare treasures, and it also hides the key to counter the Silver Emperor," said the close attendant.
Nonsense.
It sounded too false, and Long Yi was very clear that this close attendant was also infested by a Worm. Even if he wasn’t clear before, he beca aware of it once the Crystal Poison controlled the Emperor.
But now was clearly not the ti to turn against them; Long Yi and Elsa obediently followed the attendant down. They arrived in front of a tallic door, and the attendant spread his hands and said, "Go ahead, His Majesty is waiting for you inside."
Long Yi nodded without suspicion, opened the door, and entered with Elsa.
The room behind the door was pitch-black, and by the sound of footsteps, it was not a large space.
"Your Majesty?" Long Yi called out.
Boom!
The tal door suddenly closed from behind, followed by the sound of chanical locks engaging.
"Your Majesty? Where are you?" Long Yi called out again.
"I’m here!" the Emperor’s voice ca from above.
Suddenly the lights ca on all around. The Emperor and the very attendant who had led Long Yi and Elsa stood above, while Long Yi and Elsa themselves were now enveloped by a strangely shaped cage below.
"Your Majesty? What is this about?" Long Yi asked, puzzled.
"Hehe, what about it? After all this ti, are you still pretending? As one of our kind, don’t you know what this is?" the Emperor said with a cold laugh.
"Your Majesty, I don’t understand what you an. What is this?" Long Yi continued to ask, confused.
"Not understand? If you don’t understand, let make you understand!" Seeing Henki and Aisa below in the cage, clearly trapped, all of the Emperor’s tense emotions vanished. He stepped out of his armor, with red light flickering in his cyclopean eye.
"Your Majesty, your eye, why does it radiate red light? Have you really been controlled by a ntal magic spell?" Long Yi exclaid.
"Alright, alright, we’re all the sa here. What’s the point of continuing the act? Co on, step out of your armor, don’t make use force! I do want to study your suit of armor carefully!" said the Emperor.
"That bastard, the Silver Emperor, dares to use ntal magic on our great Emperor! Your Majesty, I know the real you must be in great distress! Please, do not panic; we will save you right away!" As he said this, Henki drew out his Alloy Greatsword, while Aisa directly condensed two energy swords in his hands, ready to attack the cage at any mont.
"Enough! Both of you fools, stop your act! Daring to covet my Empire! Today is your doomsday!"
The weird cage was infused with energy, the flowing energy released an inexplicable attraction coming from all directions! And with this attraction, there ca a light capable of neutralizing any Crystal Poison!
Under the radiance of the light, the Crystal Poison alloy lost its energy. The surface armor began to peel off and was attracted to the cage. As the armor peeled off, the internal structure began to collapse.
In just a mont, two small, white-skinned figures wearing nothing but underwear looked up in despair at the Emperor.
"Your Majesty! Please wake up! Is our loyalty not enough to awaken the real you who is being controlled?"
The Emperor’s cyclopean eye filled with red light widened in an instant!
They weren’t infested by a Worm!
Yes, there were no vibrations from any Worm on their bodies! These vibrations might have been concealed by the armor. But now that the armor was gone and the vibrations still didn’t appear, it could only an one thing, they were not infested by Worms at all! What they had said was all true!
Despite it being unbelievable and inconceivable, these two people nevertheless explained everything.
Could it be, I had overthought it?
The Emperor turned to look at the close attendant by his side.
At this ti, the attendant had also stepped out of his armor, standing next to the Emperor, his eyes as full of surprise as the Emperor’s. They could not believe that any of The Forgotten could possess such ability, but now the evidence before them proved they had indeed produced such two geniuses from among The Forgotten Ones!
Indeed, geniuses!
"Ah! I’ve made a mistake!" the Emperor suddenly slapped his head and gave a signal to the close attendant beside him, and the two returned to their armors together. The light within the cage disappeared, and the two figures hurriedly left. Monts later, a tal door on one side slowly opened, and the two figures walked in.
