"Say it again, you’re wrong, I’m not," Long Yi said.
The instructor wanted to pull back his fist, but Long Yi held on tight. Originally, there were a few more mbers of the Imperial Guard watching the excitent; seeing that things seed to be turning sour, they imdiately gathered around.
"Release the instructor now! Are you trying to rebel?" a warrior shouted.
"Rebel? Rebel against whom? You all? I am loyal to the Emperor. What are you compared to that!" Long Yi said. Just then, with a crisp crack, he crushed the instructor’s fist with one hand!
"It’s the new type of alloy!" a warrior whispered urgently. The group of warriors who were ready to charge forward carefully dispersed. They had heard about the new type of alloy. Ordinary energy swords would instantly shatter upon contact with it; they had not believed it until now, seeing the instructor’s completely shattered fist, they imdiately believed.
"Damn it, I’m telling you, you’ll never beco part of the Imperial Guard!" the instructor yelled.
"Then I can only say I’m sorry," Long Yi said as he walked towards the instructor.
"What are you going to do!" the instructor yelled fiercely.
"Beat you until you admit defeat!"
Just as Long Yi had guessed, the family of the Imperial Guard instructor was historically hostile to the La Sang family, and now that the two rejuvenated aces of the La Sang family were in his hands, how could he possibly let them approach the Emperor so smoothly? The family had not yet figured out a good way to deal with them, but making things slightly difficult for them to vent their own frustrations was always possible. As an instructor of the Imperial Guard, even high-ranking ministers of the Empire dared not show the slightest disrespect in his presence; he couldn’t believe that Henki and Aisa could turn the tables.
However, when Henki’s fist landed on him, he truly realized that he had underestimated him. Henki didn’t care much. His punches were extrely heavy, and in an instant, his armor was torn apart by Long Yi! And Long Yi, wearing armor made from the new alloy, was fearless against any attack; energy swords would shatter upon contact with his armor, not to ntion other people’s punches and kicks.
Long Yi pulled the instructor out from his armor with one hand, The Forgotten Ones had big heads, but Long Yi’s hand was bigger!
"You say, as weak as you are, how dare you act high and mighty here! If I crush you to death here, how many people can avenge you?" Long Yi fiercely asked.
"How dare you! If you kill ..."
"Do you think, is a re instructor more important, or is my new type of energy alloy more important? The formula for this new type of energy alloy is known only to , and only I can produce it! Whom would the Emperor favor? An instructor can be replaced, but if I suddenly beco an idiot and forget all the formulas for the new type of energy alloy, do you think the Emperor would bla your family?"
When Long Yi said this, he was constantly watching the instructor’s reaction and honestly, he hardly dared exert any force. The bodies of The Forgotten Ones were simply too weak; the slightest mishandling could kill them.
"I..." Long Yi’s words were clear to the instructor as well. It was just that the pride of being an instructor made it hard for him to give in. But now that Long Yi had thrown the words right in his face, naturally, he wouldn’t struggle anymore.
"I was wrong. I shouldn’t have treated you this way, please let go..."
Bang!
The instructor was thrown back into the armor, which was automatically repairing itself.
"Good to know the mistake. Make sure not to repeat it."
Feeling the threat of death moving away from him, the instructor had never felt so fortunate. Without armor, the body of The Forgotten was shockingly fragile; he did not doubt that Henki could crush him to death with one hand, nor did he doubt that there wouldn’t be many consequences if he were to be crushed to death. Especially their Emperor, who was a very pragmatic person, he would definitely not seek revenge for a re dead instructor.
But Henki did not crush him; instead, he released him.
Maybe, should I say thank you? But would that seem too weak? Nevertheless, considering Henki was the dominant party and had spared him, saying thanks was probably fine.
"Um... thank you..." the instructor finally managed to squeeze out these words.
"You’re welco," Long Yi said.
Having made the instructor realize his mistake with his fists, things beca much easier. Long Yi and Elsa quickly obtained the instructor’s recognition—after all, the training of both Long Yi and Elsa was impeccable.
Finally, he would see the Emperor.
After learning that he couldn’t kill the Divine Worm parasitizing the Emperor in a single strike, Long Yi’s enthusiasm for eting the Emperor had significantly diminished. His initial plan was to kill the parasitic worm and then completely control the Emperor using Elsa’s control abilities. Later, leveraging the Emperor’s influence, he planned to implent a plan for integrating into the higher plane at its root, but clearly, things weren’t that simple. Suolin did not ntion any abilities the Emperor had to stop Long Yi, but it was evident that a tiline’s version of himself had failed before, resulting in severe consequences, which were inevitably connected to the nest of worms.
Thus, Long Yi and Elsa decided to patiently wait for the right opportunity.
Becoming part of the Imperial Guard necessarily required the Emperor’s personal acknowledgnt, after all, this was also a great honor for the champions of the internal competition. Early in the morning, Long Yi and Elsa arrived outside the Imperial Palace, awaiting the Emperor’s summons.
In Long Yi’s mory, the Imperial Palace was certainly splendid, but its splendor to this extent still made him quite uncomfortable. Walking from the original place, one could see various shiny gold colors, mixed with refractions of various gemstones. The craftsn who built the palace ticulously polished each spot of gold into a mirror surface, every corner had contorted reflections of human figures, and those with a slightly weaker heart and mind would probably feel dizzy here.
