At that mont in the upper Plane, the armies led by the new and old Prophets were completely pinned down on that planet. The soldiers who had been obstructing them from the beginning were constantly watching this area, as if they never needed rest; any slight movent would provoke their combined attack.

At this point, the Crystal Demon Empress, Belle, was not here, so her armies were continuously following the orders Belle had left before her departure. They were to tightly monitor any movent of the enemy, and they absolutely couldn’t let any White-skinned escape!

anwhile, Belle was living quite comfortably; she had rged her Crystal Core into a suit of armor, and then controlled the White-skinned inside using Crystal Poison, gaining his consciousness. Because it was this kind of internal and external control, her disguise was seamless. No one realized that this person was being controlled, not even the soldier himself.

Because of Belle’s presence, this soldier’s armor could output more energy and the energy linkage with the soldier was done very well. As a result, he began to stand out in the army. He started to be heavily relied upon and then began to rise steadily through the ranks. At the sa ti, Belle also discovered traces of Divine Worms—and not just one. These Divine Worms, mostly parasitic within the consciousness of so officials, incessantly used the unique fluctuations of the Worms to scan their surroundings for any anomaly, ready to beco alert at any sign of irregularity. Fortunately, as Belle influenced that controlled soldier through the Crystal Poison and not by outright replacent, no Divine Worm detected anything unusual in him.

Just when Belle thought everything was going smoothly, an accident occurred.

The soldier she controlled was parasitized by a Divine Worm!

This was practically a joke! Obviously, because the soldier had been too conspicuous recently, the Divine Worm had set its sights on him. This Divine Worm abandoned its previous host, turning the forr host inexplicably into an idiot, and then parasitized this soldier.

However, to Belle’s surprise, the Worm did not discover her.

Could the Divine Worm be powerless against Crystal Poison?

While on the middle Plane, Long Yi had ntioned that Divine Worms could not control Crystal Demons or Crazy Demons. Initially, Belle had just listened, since such matters were still very distant from her. Now, a Worm was controlling a soldier right under her nose!

This feeling...

Was really amusing!

Belle was very certain she hadn’t been discovered because these Worm-controlled soldiers were secretly gathering together, discussing how to defeat the Emperor—another Worm.

Belle knew that what Divine Worms loved most was to parasitize strong life forms, and with The Forgotten Ones being the strongest beings in this Plane, their popularity was not surprising.

These Worms ca together, discussing how to defeat the Worm controlling the Emperor, but then they began arguing over who would replace the Emperor, even using their ntal powers to attack each other as if they had already claid victory. These etings took place several tis and all ended inconclusively. Belle found it downright codic; the greed of these Worms was indeed boundless.

Why couldn’t they just take a step back? Even if you agree to let a particular Worm parasitize now, couldn’t you simply change your mind later?

Thinking this, Belle discovered shockingly that her thoughts had entered the brain of the soldier through the Crystal Poison. Belle imdiately grew anxious. Since the soldier had been parasitized, she had not dared to alter his structure. The Crystal Poison that was used to control thoughts was still there, and because she had not cut off the connection, her thoughts had unintentionally been transmitted. What if they were discovered?

But what astonished Belle happened.

"Alright, stop arguing! I agree!" the soldier Belle was in suddenly exclaid.

"What? Is your cognitive fragnt damaged? You actually support him becoming the Emperor?" another Worm shouted.

"Or do you plan to just keep arguing?" the soldier said.

"Hehehe, wise choice. When I beco the Emperor, I won’t mistreat you! My brother!" the persistent Emperor-aspiring Worm happily said.

"We’ll see if you can succeed first." Although he voiced his support, the soldier still spoke irritably.

At this mont, so Worms sent secret thought inquiries, asking what craziness this was. Thus, this Worm told them, "Even if we agree now, can’t we just change our minds later?"

A group of Worms suddenly realized.

And Belle was entangled with surprise and perplexity.

The surprise was that she discovered she could now control the thoughts of Worms! And that too without the Worm being aware of it! Because so-called thoughts, in most creatures’ brains, are a complex assembly of matter and energy. Worms are purely energy, whereas Belle controlled matter. The Worms could not discern whether changes in the matter were from themselves or from the Crystal Poison’s control because they were unaware of the Crystal Poison’s existence!

This revelation brought Belle imnse delight; these legendary Divine Worms might be easier to handle than she had imagined.

However, the perplexity was about why the thoughts of these Divine Worms were so rigid. According to descriptions from Elsa as well as Long Yi, Divine Worms were extrely cunning creatures, and their thinking should not be so simplicity rigid.
