Several minutes later, the Dark Saintess underwent a transformation. A golden glow erged from her chest, Divine Power surged there, and the Divine Texts around her body no longer appeared externally but were absorbed into her body and would only appear automatically when needed. A series of commands appeared out of nowhere in her consciousness, guiding her to beco a true god.

This all went exceedingly smoothly. From a Golem to a god, it took less than an hour.

When it was all complete, even the aura around the God of Machinery dimd.

"Now that you have beco a true god, my mission is also concluded," requested the God of Machinery, "but please do not destroy , as my existence is needed to sustain the propagation of life on this planet."

"Why would we destroy you?" the Dark Saintess asked, puzzled.

"Because you could seize my Divine Status and Divine Power, which would make you much stronger from the start. However, I request that you do not destroy after seizing my Divine Status and Divine Power..."

"Calm down. I have no interest in seizing your Divine Status or Divine Power. Actually, Long Yi already drafted a complete plan for the things I am to do next, so you can continue being the God of Machinery here without worries, okay?"

"Okay, thank you."

When the Dark Saintess left the underground, the transford her imdiately drew the admiration of the surrounding Golems. Due to the presence of Divine Text, the other Golems didn’t feel much about the Dark Saintess becoming a god; it was just that the alloy of Divine Power looked more splendid on the outside than before.

"Right now, we need a new planet, we also need to create our own system of faith," said the Dark Saintess.

Battles between gods are essentially battles between Divine Powers. Besides natural recovery, contributions from followers are the most crucial. The faith of followers is converted into Divine Power, and gods need to occasionally perform miracles to strengthen the faith. This is essentially the standard conduct of a Divine Realm. However, Giants, through countless trials, discovered a peculiar loophole.

Divine Power cos from faith, and gods can also reinforce faith by redirecting Divine Power. There must therefore exist a balance point that maximizes Divine Power return. A mathematical model can find this balance point, and such a model requires a group of followers in an ideal state.

Coincidentally, Giants discovered such followers in an ideal state.

Giants created many types of life, including purely material life, energy life, magic life, and even rule-bound life. Among these, Giants found that a type of Divine Power life best t the standards for followers in this ideal state. This creature’s prototype ca from a virus-like life in the Divine Realm; its structure was so simple it consisted only of a Divine Power shell enclosing the genetic material inside, using the Divine Power shell to protect the internal genetic material and complete its infection. Viruses can be said to be the purest life forms, doing everything solely for propagation.

Giants simplified this virus structure further, then reconstructed it with Divine Power, stripping away the Divine Power shell. They enclosed it in a certain space. Then, a faith was established through artificial manipulation. The desire of viruses is simple: to propagate. At this mont, inject a bit of Divine Power, and the virus will split. After splitting, the two viruses naturally were the result of Divine Power’s influence. After about a thousand generations of propagation, this type of Divine Power virus would mutate, lose the tendency to infect, and instead start to rely on faith. That would be the ti to harvest.

In the Nine Rings, there are countless planets of various sizes. The Dark Saintess chose an entirely tallic hollow planet. She started the cultivation process here.

Admittedly, the Divine Power viruses were exceedingly minute, providing extrely limited Divine Power; almost no god would think of establishing faith with viruses. However, what no one knew was that once provided with a sufficient environnt, the propagation speed of viruses was extrely alarming.

At this mont, in front of the Dark Saintess was a ball the size of a fist. Inside it were dense Divine Power viruses. These viruses had already established the most direct faith connection with her, and yet such a small sphere could provide more faith than an entire planet. The simple demand and simple supply made cheating so simple when Giants simplified everything.

These viruses were incredibly fragile; if the sphere were broken, the viruses might imdiately dissipate into Divine Power. Thus, the Dark Saintess kept them protected here, absolutely not to be captured by any outsider. Unfortunately, the propagation process of these viruses was still not fast enough because, according to the model, their propagation could not be satisfied indefinitely. But compared to ordinary gods, the rate of strength growth after the Dark Saintess beca a god was enough to astound all gods.

The next step was to march forward.

But before that, the Dark Saintess did sothing else.

The three hundred Golems following her had not yet completed their upgrade. What she was about to do probably not even the old Long Yi would have imagined. She was going to turn all the Golems into gods!

The technology for creating artificial Divine Status and Divine Soul was still in the possession of the God of Machinery, but manufacturing these two items required a substantial amount of Divine Power. At this mont, what the Dark Saintess lacked the least was Divine Power. She exchanged Divine Power for Divine Status and Divine Soul, turning every Golem into a god. Then, she personally upgraded all the Golem’s constituent materials into Divine Power alloy. When this was all done, the Dark Saintess also taught them how to exchange faith for Divine Power using the Divine Power viruses. Soon, on that small planet, three hundred true gods were born!

Even the God of Machinery, witnessing all these events unfold, could only lant that this was probably a terrifying speed that not even the gods themselves could have imagined.

At this ti, the Dark Saintess was just waiting for an opportunity, waiting for the mont her Divine Power was strong enough, and then with one stroke, surge forward!(To be continued.
