"Alright! Everything’s okay now!"

A pleasant voice sounded, and Long Yi knew without turning around who it was.

Sure enough, smiling, Yavenny the Tutor walked slowly towards them. Wherever she passed, people showed relieved smiles. As she passed Long Yi, Yavenny gave him a fierce glare. Little Zi imdiately glared back, only for both to blink in surprise as a light ’bang’ echoed in Long Yi’s ear, as though sothing had collided.

Little Zi was taken aback because her spiritual probe had collided directly with the other party’s probe. The two had no hostility but were instinctively trying to stealthily test each other; yet they didn’t expect their probes to collide with such coordination.

"Interesting little female demon." Yavenny didn’t expect anyone to dare to probe her so openly. She laughed, a sparkle in her eyes. Little Zi felt rebellious at first, but once she saw the light in Yavenny’s eyes, she quickly retracted and hid behind Long Yi. Why? Because her instincts were screaming that this elf-woman’s spirit power was at a totally unimaginable level!

Yavenny found this little female demon amusing and adorable with not a hint of deathly aura. She originally intended to say sothing to Little Zi, but then she noticed sothing strange about Long Yi.

No, to be precise, it was sothing familiar!

"Long Yi, did you co across anyone strange on your journey out this ti?" Yavenny chose her words carefully as she asked.

"Strange people?" Long Yi wondered, looking back on the journey, at which point hadn’t he encounter strange people?

"Yes, strange people, a woman — who doesn’t seem quite sane and acts rather madly," Yavenny provided so details.

"Oh, do you know that woman?" Long Yi suddenly realized, comprehending that Yavenny must be referring to the woman who abruptly wanted to do intimate things with him whilst in combat.

"Damn it! You really have t her!" Yavenny was notably upset.

"May I know who she is, tutor?" Long Yi asked.

"You can ask in my office once you have completed your task."

"Alright, I also have so issues I’d like to ask Tutor Yavenny about then."

Yavenny was taken aback. Normally, Long Yi would avoid her. But now, he was looking at her seriously. Could it be that he had discovered her true identity? Impossible! If he knew her identity, he should run away decisively! Perhaps there was indeed an important matter?

"Alright, I’ll wait for you in my office then," Yavenny cast a flirtatious glance at Long Yi, before turning around and walking through the crowd. Her seductive waistline disappeared at the back of the task hall.

"What a terrifying old woman," Little Zi finally peeked out from behind Long Yi.

"Indeed, really scary," Long Yi agreed. Looking back on the encounters with Yavenny, it had been one hardship after another.

Little Zi glared at Long Yi. Her context and Long Yi’s were not the sa. But even she didn’t understand fully what was going on, so it was best to keep it to herself. The Silver Dragon was already enough of a headache for Long Yi.

Task submission at the task hall wasn’t fast because the crystal cores needed identification and sorting. Long Yi finally got his turn after waiting until nine at night. Halfway through, Ai Lin had run out to get so food.

An old man received them. He was an appraiser invited by the military to evaluate the cores. Behind him, two young soldiers were sorting the crystal cores.

When the old man saw the crystal core armant on Ai Lin’s arm, his eyes glead initially before he sighed and shook his head: "A Tier 9 crystal core... ah, today’s young people really can’t differentiate importance from triviality."

The old man must be from the Crystal Core Science Research Institute. To them, such a Tier 9 crystal core was assuredly an incredibly precious treasure. It was obvious what the old man ant, and Long Yi understood. He smiled, "Old man, importance and triviality are different for you and . There’s no need for you to worry."

The old man was surprised, then broke into hearty laughter: "Ha ha ha, well said, young man, well said!"

"This is our crystal core."

Cutting off further argunt, Long Yi understood the generation gap. Bajie took out a massive sack from the space and thumped it on the table.

"Oh?" The old man’s eyes glead. He opened the sack. "Let’s see, Tier 3, Tier 4, Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 6, Tier 6..."

The large bag of Crystal Cores that Long Yi pulled out was enough to stun the crowd, almost everyone was staring at the bag, waiting to see how much military rit these cores could fetch.

"Tier 4, Tier 5? Huh? Let see? Tier 9! Tier 9! Tier 9!" the old man continuously pulled out three Tier 9 Crystal Cores from the bag! The gigantic cores instantly blinded everyone present.

"Tsk, tsk, these purities, these three monsters must’ve given you quite so trouble." the old man chuckled, realizing that Long Yi and Ai Lin weren’t all that powerful. However, the little female demon was potent. Regardless, it could not be a result of Long Yi and their group’s power.

"Yeah, we almost died." Long Yi stated honestly. The three Crystal Cores were from that crazy woman called Yamir, who seed to be from the Demon Clan. If it wasn’t for that mad woman going berserk, Long Yi estimated that he might have been utterly obliterated.

For contemporary humans, the Demon Clan is rely a legend. The most common stories are about the Demon Clan’s strength. The Demon Clan also originates from the upper plane and rarely appears. So insane mages have studied spells for summoning the Demon Clan, aiming to use their power to defeat enemies. However, it turns out that demons have little interest in being called. Most wise demons ignore the summon, and few who respond might not even assist whoever summoned them.

However, one thing is for certain, the Demon Clan is powerful. In a 1v1 duel, a Dragon Knight stands no chance against a demon. Even when riding a dragon, they still fall short!

Moreover, this is when the demons are limited by space rules and their strength is compressed!

The old man inspecting only laughed and didn’t say much. In his opinion, Long Yi and Ai Lin were only able to defeat three Tier 9 monsters due to the various items their family had prepared for them. Even with the help of the little female demon, they couldn’t do it based on their strength. So, he was looking at Long Yi with slight contempt.

Long Yi ignored them, he wasn’t a child who overflows with self-esteem, others’ contempt ant nothing to him. As long as you don’t insult to my face, there is no aning in a few looks.

The old man noticed Long Yi’s smiling face and unwittingly his own face turned slightly red. He was so old and yet was doing such things to a child, he felt like he had regressed. Thinking of this, the old man gave Long Yi an apologetic smile, then resud his work of counting.

Finally, he finished counting the entire bag of Crystal Cores. Just as he was about to wrap up, Long Yi handed him another bag.

"Here, sir, there are more."

Long Yi said.

There was an imdiate murmur amongst the crowd. Long Yi’s previous bag, although larger, with the inclusion of the Tier 9 Crystal Cores, would place, his score in the upper range, which was quite decent.

However, once this bag showed up, people imdiately realized that it was not over yet!

The old man opened the bag, the gleaming Crystal Cores inside made his eyes bulged out.

"Tier 8! Tier 8! Tier 8! Tier 8! All Tier 8!"

The old man pulled out a total of thirty Tier 8 Crystal Cores from inside! Different colors, different shapes, but all were Tier 8 Crystal Cores!

This was entirely Bajie’s sense of humor, because ’Tier 8’ and ’Bajie’ sound similar, so he simply stored all the Tier 8 Crystal Cores in a bag. There’s no purpose, it was just for fun.

Then, this seemingly aningless act astonished everyone.

"This..." The old man finally realised that this male and female duo in front of him might actually have so skills. Regardless of how powerful the family was, the help was ultimately limited. These many Tier 8 Crystal Cores could only be battled and claid by them. The Crystal Cores carry traces of the battle, and the purpose of an appraiser is to inspect whether these battle traces belong solely to this group. The school’s bracelets also have a similar function. They can confirm that these Crystal Cores are entirely the result of Long Yi’s battles!

"This..." the old man lifted his hand band, input a bunch of values, then a silver number appeared on the bracelets of Long Yi and Ai Lin.

"Two"

"Congratulations, in this mission, your count of Crystal Cores currently ranks number two!" the old man excitedly announced.

Second! The combination of that big oaf Long Yi and sexy Ai Lin actually took second place!

Suddenly, countless eyes filled with a variety of emotions converged onto these two. Both are in their second year, while they have always been very aggressive since enrollnt, that is just talent. Every year there are talented students who dare to challenge the instructors, but what Long Yi did, even though extraordinary, wasn’t too surprising either.

But this hunting mission’s second place really surprised everyone.

Because, there are inevitably restrictions in the academy. Now facing monsters, life is a stake, so newbies might even fear blood during their first fight. While this sophomore Long Yi was able to hack and slash his way to the second place, this shows undoubted strength!
