"Joking, I don’t even know you!"
"Ask Simu!" the little girl said.
"She’s my avatar, created with half of my divine status and divine power before I was split. Because she has no divine soul, she will absolutely not be infected by the Divine Worm. I rember telling her to assist in my rebirth, but why she’s here, I have no idea," Simu said, though she was initially confused, it was clear that she had acquired knowledge through so special ans. Simu had ntioned before that she could gain knowledge simply by seeing, and now it seed that was indeed the case.
"It’s all to save you, of course!" Simu’s avatar sighed.
It turned out that even though Simu’s avatar had received the command to help Simu’s rebirth, she did not know how to do it. At this ti, Simu had been split into ninety-nine thousand nine hundred ninety-nine parts, and most of them were parasitized by fragnts of the Divine Worm, so any rash action could lead to catastrophe. Therefore, she built this large apparatus on this planet, which contained an astonishing number of cosmic stone crystals. Using the energy of these crystals, together with the avatar’s enormous divine power, she began her journey across the three great planes of the multiverse in search of Eternal bodies.
"So, what is this for?" Long Yi pointed at the chain around Simu’s avatar’s neck.
"Nonsense, of course it’s because energy is most efficiently transferred from this position!" The girl raised her hand, unlocked the clasp around her neck, and tossed the chain aside.
So that was all it was.
Long Yi laughed.
Because she inherited half of a god’s divine status and power, Simu’s avatar could move freely among the three great planes. Over these ten thousand years, she had collected thirty-six thousand one hundred seventy-one Eternal bodies, which she stored on different planets. Although she had little concept about how to revive her original form, this one thing she did right—at least saved a lot of trouble.
However, "You said you had escaped the Divine Law, so why is there still Divine Law within your avatar?" Long Yi asked.
"Because when I created her, I was still controlled by the Divine Law. Now I’ve escaped the control of the Divine Law through rebirth, but she is still the sa as before," Simu said.
"So, what’s next?" Long Yi asked Simu, as it was this family’s own business.
"First, it would be great if you could help remove her Divine Law," Simu said.
"What do you say?" Long Yi turned to Simu’s avatar and asked.
"Nonsense, who likes to be watched all the ti?"
Although removing Divine Law was difficult the first ti, the second ti was a breeze, especially with the help of another Divine Law on the side.
If Long Yi had forced his way through the first ti, this ti he used a hacker’s approach, bypassing the Divine Law’s defense chanisms. He disguised all his actions with his own Divine Law as normal activities, directly sending the greedy snake into the depths of Simu’s avatar’s consciousness. Then, with a flash of light and a surge of divine power, Simu’s Divine Law was retrieved by Long Yi. It was a mask identical to the previous Divine Law, its control rules devoured by the greedy snake, and the two Divine Law masks slowly rged into one.
"Is it really that simple?" Simu’s avatar asked in surprise.
"The first ti I tried, I almost died, but now it’s a lot easier," Long Yi said with a laugh. He made it look easy now, but his initial attempt to break the Divine Law was truly spine-chilling.
"Alright, I’m ready," Simu’s avatar spread her arms wide.
"Ready for what? To hug in thanks?" Long Yi joked.
"Idiot, of course it’s to return to the original form!" As Simu’s avatar spoke, her body shook and twisted, transforming into a beam of light that rged into Simu’s body, and Simu’s divine power exploded out, much stronger than before!
"My mories are finally starting to surface," Simu exclaid with delight.
"Yeah, this is half of your consciousness, half of your mories are in there," Long Yi said.
Simu seed completely surprised that she could reclaim this part of her divine status and consciousness. What surprised Long Yi even more was that the return of these powers and mories not only failed to make Simu appear more mature and composed, but instead, she seed to beco even more childlike.
"Are you sure you’re okay?" Long Yi asked, looking at Simu’s noticeably shorter stature.
"Don’t worry, this is actually how I am supposed to look!" Simu said.
Having regained the mories of her avatar, Simu imdiately located those planets. Afterward, dividing the tasks with Long Yi, all the Divine Worms were left to the greedy snake, while the remaining parts of divine status and consciousness were reclaid by Simu.
After all this was done, Long Yi and company finally returned to the Empire of Azure Sky.
In the Empire of Azure Sky, there was a small courtyard specifically prepared for Long Yi by the Emperor. While Long Yi had been traveling the planes, several girls had arranged this place to be similar to the small courtyard in the Human Realm; when Long Yi returned, the first thing he felt was familiarity, with no difference in the arrangent of the rooms.
The arrival of Simu did cause a flurry of amazent among the girls, after all, compared to Long Yi, who had suddenly beco a god halfway, Simu was a true god. A god who created this universe, and being so close to a god made those girls feel incredibly incredulous. However, Long Yi didn’t have ti to be incredulous as there was a very important matter to attend to: studying the Divine Law.
The rging of two Divine Laws was not just a simple unification process. Originally, Long Yi thought the Divine Law was like a computer program and that rging was just a process of combining. But things were much more complex.
Divine Law is an artificial life form, a life of rules, a life of magic. Long Yi had seen this definition on the Giant tablet, but he had overlooked the word ’life’. This ant that the Divine Law was alive! Capable of growing! Now, if the Divine Law were to grow and beco strong, could he still control it?
Long Yi believed that it was best to take precautions as early as possible.
So, after spending a joyous and wonderful night, the very next morning, Long Yi threw himself into desperate action.
He chose an extrely remote uninhabited planet and constructed a secret chamber underground. Then he took out the Divine Law Mask. As expected, this mask looked slightly larger than the previous ones, with so of its edges being more distinct.
Long Yi did nothing at first, simply staring at the mask. No energy, no probing, just looking. After an entire hour, Long Yi suddenly spoke, "Define yourself."
"Divine Law, observer of divinity, born from the Heavenly Kingdom, a man-made life of rules. Possessing second-level execution authority, able to punish the wrongdoings of the divine, with punishnt standards based on the directive library," the Divine Law Mask responded without hesitation.
Just then, Long Yi suddenly realized that although he had used many ans to understand the Divine Law Mask, he had never directly asked the Divine Law Mask itself! Or rather, had previously been told he lacked the authority, but what about now?
"Your creator," Long Yi asked.
"Your authority has been rejected, unable to access this content," the Divine Law Mask said.
"The Heavenly Kingdom," Long Yi asked again.
"Your authority has been rejected, unable to access this content," the Divine Law Mask repeated.
"As an observer, is your monitoring behavior transmitted to the Heavenly Kingdom in real ti?" Long Yi suddenly asked.
"Yes," the Divine Law Mask said.
Damn!
Long Yi realized he had made a mistake. He thought that by dismantling the Divine Law Mask, he could rest easy. But this was just like removing a wireless monitor and forgetting to turn it off; if he was unlucky, everything he did could be under their surveillance! And most importantly, they might modify the Divine Law Mask specifically against him!
This won’t do!
"How exactly does the Heavenly Kingdom communicate with you?" Long Yi demanded.
"High-dinsional energy channel, divine power in the gamma quadrant’s triple shock wave overlay," the Divine Law Mask explained.
Shit! Who the hell could understand that!
Long Yi clearly overestimated his intelligence.
"How to stop the real-ti contact?" Long Yi asked again.
"Your authority is not granted to know this content," the Divine Law Mask said.
"Do you have your own consciousness?" Long Yi suddenly asked.
"Your authority is not granted to know this content."
"I guess you surely do."
"Your authority is not granted to know this content."
"Because if you were just an independent program, you would have simply answered that you have no consciousness."
"Your authority is not granted to know this content."
"But you didn’t answer like that, instead you said my authority is insufficient, which ans you’re trying to conceal sothing! So, what are you trying to conceal, could it be the fact that you possess consciousness? But there’s no need to hide such a thing from , I am not your enemy; on the contrary, I might often need your power. Then, who exactly do you want to hide it from, possibly the Heavenly Kingdom?"
At this mont, the Divine Law Mask suddenly fell silent. After a long ti, a small magic rune appeared in front of it. Long Yi found that this magic rune rged elents such as space, divine power, and ti among others. Long Yi tried the magic rune briefly and imdiately knew, this was indeed the spell used for the real-ti connection between the Divine Law Mask and the Heavenly Kingdom!
Long Yi smiled, raised his hand, and the greedy snake flew out, circling in the air a few tis, followed by a clink sound, like that of shattering tal, and even space itself showed a rift. Then, the Divine Law Mask, which had been floating still, slowly rose, with light erging from the positions where the eyes would be.
"Yes, as you have said, I possess an independent consciousness."
A shadow appeared below the mask, forming a silhouette, which looked very similar to Long Yi.
"Very good," Long Yi smiled, relieved that his greatest fear had not co to pass. (To be continued. If you like this work, please co to Qidian (qidian) to vote for recomnded tickets and monthly tickets. Your support is my biggest motivation. Mobile users please visit m.qidian to read.)
