When she arrived, Elsa was only accompanied by Asa and his people. But this ti, as she departed, all the Elders of the Great Elder Council ca to see her off.
The terms Elsa offered were far more tempting than those of the Celestial Clan Emperor. Because, as the Okaman themselves said, if one could lead a good life just by lying down honestly, which creature would bother to fight without good reason?
Of course, the supplies Elsa agreed to provide the Okaman did not include any weapons or equipnt. This was also her own ulterior motive; no matter how harmless the Okaman seed now, their forr dominance was certainly no jest.
"Ah right, the axe I once promised you, it’s yours now." Before boarding the spacecraft, Elsa tossed out the battle axe and then boarded. Behind her, the Elder who had lost to Elsa was first stunned, then monts later he felt countless greedy stares!
"What are you looking at! Keep staring and I’ll gouge out your eyeballs!" bellowed the Elder, hastily stuffing the battle axe into his private space.
Suddenly, there was a chorus of hissing all around.
On the return flight, only Elsa and Suolin were present. It was evident that Elsa was very happy, for not only did this trip confirm the issues with the Celestial Clan Emperor, but she also found a new way to make money!
"How much is this thing worth?" Suolin suddenly asked.
"Extrely valuable, rest assured those tycoons will do anything for their taste and ostentation," Elsa said with a smile. Then, after pondering a mont, added, "When Asa invited to taste his cooking, I originally didn’t plan to go, but you, who were by my side, blocked my path, forcing to move toward him. Is this how you influence history?"
Suolin laughed. She really hadn’t expected Elsa’s perception to be so keen. She thought her own actions had been perfect.
"Who knows," said Suolin, unable to admit such a thing.
"What would have happened if I hadn’t taken that step?" Elsa asked again.
"Who knows..." Suolin said with a aningful smile.
After resting for a few days, Elma felt trendously rejuvenated.
This was the first ti Elma had taken such a long rest since he began studying with the Ascenders. Used to rigorous training every day, the sudden break of several days left him quite disoriented, and for a ti he didn’t even know what to do with himself. Since he started believing in the Ascenders, the atmosphere within the Ancient Mage Tower had changed greatly from the past. Previously, in the Ancient Mage Tower, everyone chanically and passively completed their tasks, even those studying magic. But since the belief in the Ascenders began, the positive attitudes conveyed by the Ascenders inspired people to reexamine themselves, filling the entire Ancient Mage Tower with vigor. It was now so lively that Elma didn’t need to constantly watch over everything.
Wandering aimlessly through the Ancient Mage Tower out of boredom, Elma unexpectedly encountered Solis.
At that mont, Solis was hurrying along, not even noticing Elma.
"Master Solis, where are you off to?" Elma greeted him with a smile. To Elma, Solis seed just a down-and-out old man. Despite his past nearly unforgivable deeds, to Elma these were re water under the bridge, trivial, for he now had far more important things to attend to. Seeing Solis now felt amusing more than anything.
But Solis just lifted his head and glared at Elma fiercely. Elma was taken aback for a mont, as anger rose in his heart, but it was just a flash; the anger disappeared without a trace.
Heh, just a pitiful old man.
That’s what Elma thought to himself.
And so, they brushed past each other.
However, all of this was observed by Long Yi.
Or rather, by the hidden Crystal Demon device.
Crystal Demon warriors lay hidden within the Ancient Mage Tower. They couldn’t move about freely, so they transford themselves into tiny structures, installing many small Crystal Demon devices throughout the entire tower. These devices could record sound and images, which could be transmitted back to the Crystal Demons using magic when it was safe, eventually reaching Long Yi’s eyes.
This matter was definitely not right!
Long Yi had designed Elma’s character to be young and reckless, respectful of the Ascender, his teacher, because of various influences. But why was he also showing such restraint towards Solis, especially when his anger had been so clearly visible, and yet, in a flash, it vanished? This process was exceedingly abnormal!
This Solis was not so simple!
Long Yi was now even more certain of his judgent.
Whether intentional or not, if Yavenny’s judgent had been wrong from the beginning, then the God Chaser had been acting by my side all this ti, and I had been kept in the dark!
The thought that this suspicion could be true made Long Yi feel a chill down his spine.
Regardless of what the suspicion was, this ti the Holy Temple’s exploration would surely have a conclusion!
Finally, the appointed mont arrived.
Elsa followed Long Yi onto the small escape pod, watching as the pod left. Zulal, whom Elsa trusted the most, hurriedly returned, not heading to his own quarters but directly to Elder Solis’s residence.
Since losing power, Solis spent most of his ti in his quarters, barely showing himself, and because he no longer held power, no one cared what he was actually doing.
The door opened, and seeing Zulal, Solis showed no surprise, instead letting him in directly.
"Long Yi and Elsa have left," Zulal said, and if Long Yi had been there, he probably would have exploded by now.
"Heh heh, that poor wretch Long Yi, everything he does is within my calculations! He even thought for a mont that he had control over you, but he didn’t realize that his so-called control had long been broken by ! Everything he knows is exactly what I want him to know!" Solis said, his eyes blood red.
"The great God Chaser is destined to beco a god, while Long Yi is rely a Giant, a creation of the gods, how could he possibly compare with you, Your Excellency?" Zulal said.
"Hmph, that foolish Giant actually thought I would submit to his Divine Status, yet he has no idea that his Divine Status is about to beco mine!" Solis said with a fierce look on his face.
"Nothing can escape Your grasp, great God Chaser!" Zulal knelt before Solis and cried out in the air.
"Get up, tell , is everything I need ready?" Solis asked.
"Yes, honorable God Chaser, I have diverted every guard, and now the entire Ancient Mage Tower is within your grasp! Are you going to take the entire Ancient Mage Tower with you?" Excitent flickered across Zulal’s face.
"What do I want with this dilapidated Giant ship?" Solis said, and from his private space, he took out a golden device. If Long Yi were here, he would instantly recognize that this device was the key to the Teleportation Gate!
"Then, esteed God Chaser, are you going to..."
"I am going to awaken all the God Chasers in the three great planes! Once I take over Long Yi’s body, I will gain the power of the Giants and Divine Power at the sa ti! Then I will be the only god in the entire multiverse! Both Giants and the Dragon Clan will only be able to kneel and tremble at my feet," Solis said.
The escape pod journeyed through space, arriving in a strange Asteroid Belt, and ahead was an Asteroid where so remnants of buildings could be vaguely seen. Behind those buildings, a palace was emitting a gentle glow.
"Here, this is the Holy Temple, my Holy Temple," Long Yi said, deeply into his role.
Elma’s heart was extrely excited, although he was prepared, he never expected this mont to co so quickly.
The escape pod descended, and to Elma’s surprise, he discovered that this tiny planet actually had air and gravity! Long Yi walked ahead with Elma following. It wasn’t long before Elma saw Little Seven standing there, bored. Upon seeing the Ascender, Little Seven gave him a fierce glare, then turned away and said nothing more.
Originally Elma had wondered why Long Yi hadn’t brought Little Seven with him this ti when he returned; it turned out she was here all along.
Long Yi ignored Little Seven; in fact, he had actually forgotten about Little Seven. It was only when he arrived here that he suddenly rembered that he hadn’t brought Little Seven with him this ti back to the Ancient Mage Tower, so he hurriedly had Little Zi, hiding in the shadows, arrange for Little Seven to be in front.
Because no script had been set in advance, Little Seven could only express her subtext with a roll of her eyes.
"Up ahead is my Holy Temple. Initially, because of an accidental disturbance, once I enter the temple, I would lose all Ascender powers and fall into a deep sleep. You must enter the depths of the Holy Temple’s altar with Hayden," Long Yi said. Looking at Elma, he seriously asked, "I can trust you, right, Elma?"
A sense of mission welled up in him, Elma stood straight and said firmly, "Yes, my teacher! You can trust !"
The two entered the corridor in front of the Holy Temple, with Long Yi, playing the Ascender, quickly switching to Hayden mode, hiding behind Elma.
"Be careful, the area ahead is full of various magic traps!" Hayden said nervously.
"Yes, but don’t worry, the teacher has already told the location of every chanism, and as long as I do exactly as the teacher said, step by step, there won’t be any danger!" Elma said.
This was exactly what Long Yi intended. (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welco to vote for recomndation and monthly tickets at Qidian (qidian). Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users please visit m.qidian to continue reading.)
