Long Yi watched the Purification Tower above him nervously, gathering his divine power all the while. At this mont, the tower not only lacked any reaction, it even seed like that chilling sensation had vanished!
I’m such an idiot, this is a device designed by gods, how could it possibly affect a god themselves!
Long Yi shook his head and cautiously used his divine power to open the door. Behind the door was a dark opening leading straight down. Without hesitation, Long Yi scanned it with his divine power and found Elma still descending slowly. And right at the center of this asteroid, there was a rather small space.
Despite divine power being omnipotent, its consumption is also staggering. Long Yi conserved his divine power and once again tested the strength of the rocks, though no longer subject to the interference of the Purification Tower. However, he couldn’t rge with the rocks here; Long Yi pressed his hand against the rock, only to discover that these rocks didn’t respond to the rock’s strength at all!
Well, this is yet another god-crafted broken toy.
Long Yi cursed and then slowly made his way through the passageway.
This awkward god really doesn’t give people peace of mind, why can’t you just honestly be a god who is praised by everyone?
Obviously, there should be a lifting platform carrying Elma downward, and naturally, Long Yi didn’t enjoy such luxury. Therefore, he had no choice but to make use of his most faithful friend—mode of transportation number eleven.
Long Yi descended at a rather quick pace, and soon light tremors ca from the floor and walls, probably caused by the movent of the lift chanism. Long Yi didn’t continue to pursue, as according to his own estimation, he was already nearing the center of the asteroid.
What on earth was Elma hiding here? Could it be the key to the Plane Teleportation Gate? Or Landers’ mories? No, no, no, it should be his own mories now, right?
At this mont, Long Yi was truly full of anticipation. Once he obtained these things, he would imdiately co out and loudly mock Elma for being a fool. Then he would destroy the entire Ancient Mage Tower—after all, it belonged to the Giant, and what belonged to the Giant belonged to Long Yi, who had the undeniable ownership.
However, for now, he should put those beautiful dreams aside, as Long Yi couldn’t be sure what was really here.
The vibrations stopped, and Long Yi paused for a mont, then slowly peeked out. He just saw Elma walking slowly toward a small door, still marked with divine symbols. As Elma approached the symbols, he raised his hand, and a matching symbol lit up in his palm. The two symbols rged seamlessly, and then the main door opened.
At this point, Long Yi was rather puzzled. Divine symbols were not sothing you’d encounter just walking down any street—Elma actually possessed a divine symbol, where had he gotten it from?
From the crevice, Long Yi saw that there was quite a large passageway and space behind the door, so when he got to the front door, he didn’t rush to open it. Instead, he waited a long ti, estimating that Elma had already left the passage before he finally used his divine power to open the door.
Golden light shone from the end of the passage, and Long Yi felt an extrely familiar sensation from it. Drawing close to the end slowly, Long Yi continued to hide in the shadows, only to see Elma facing a stone platform, with the golden light coming forth from it.
At that mont, Elma’s hands were moving back and forth, seemingly speaking sothing, but there was no air here, and he was wearing a hertically sealed suit, making it impossible for Long Yi to hear. The source of the golden light in front was not large, and Long Yi was eager to know what it was. After a few adjustnts to his position and still not able to see, just as Long Yi was contemplating whether to throw a stone to probe, Elma himself shifted his body, and the object emitting golden light imdiately ca into Long Yi’s view.
Tetrahedron.
The last ti Long Yi had seen this tetrahedron, it was in the Crystal Demon Plane. When he opened the tetrahedron, a Divine Envoy girl jumped out. And now, was there another Divine Envoy?
However, the tetrahedron before him had not been opened, and the Divine Envoy within had not appeared. Although he could feel a faint divine power within the golden light, it was completely different from that of the Divine Envoy; this divine power felt very unreal.
After watching for a while, Long Yi suddenly grinned, turned around and quickly left the area, switching to the far side of the asteroid. However, he didn’t leave the asteroid; instead, he switched his consciousness to Hayden’s body.
Now, Long Yi, occupying Hayden’s body, led Little Seven to the escape pod launch area, where so people were on duty. As soon as they saw the Ascender coming to this place, they imdiately tensed up.
"Ascender sir, is there sothing you need?" a staff mber asked.
"I suddenly sensed an inexplicably strong force coming from a distance, so I plan to take a look," Long Yi said.
"Then, do we need to prepare an escape pod for you?" The place where an Ascender wishes to go, is it sothing you can ddle with? So, the proper response is to prepare the escape pod obediently.
"No, there’s no need. It shouldn’t be too far," Long Yi, now in the mode of a transcendent being, said.
With that, Long Yi waved at Little Seven, who imdiately pouted and said, "You can go wherever you want, just don’t drag along!"
Despite saying she wouldn’t go, her body obediently followed.
Exiting through the escape pod hatch, Long Yi imdiately accelerated at full speed toward the distant Asteroid Belt. Little Seven, being a Female Demon, didn’t need to breathe, and was even less sensitive to changes in temperature. The protective asures around her were purely symbolic.
The few people in charge of managing the escape pods stared dumbfounded as others flew away from the cosmos and disappeared without a trace. Besides a bellyful of envy, they were even more hopeful that the Ascender would take a fancy to them and bestow so kind of power upon them.
Leading Little Zi through the Asteroid Belt, they found the asteroid with the Purification Tower and stayed for a while. After Elma erged from inside and left in an escape pod, Long Yi and Little Seven finally landed on the backside of the asteroid, where Long Yi’s true body was still located.
Long Yi brought a space suit from his private space for Hayden to wear since his body was still that of an ordinary human and couldn’t withstand direct exposure to the vacuum of space. After entering the main gate, this ti the elevator platform finally appeared above. They took off the space suits and threw them aside. Long Yi, Hayden, and Little Seven stood on the platform, which automatically began to descend, quickly reaching the second door. They passed through the door and walked down a corridor, into the darkness ahead.
Long Yi smirked slightly, and Divine Power vibrated within him. At the sa ti, a Tetrahedron in front of them lit up with a golden glow as well.
"I have never seen such a Divine Envoy before," a rumbling sound ca from around them. Long Yi, however, knew that it wasn’t a real sound, but the vibration of Divine Power.
"I am not a Divine Envoy, but can you tell what you are doing here?" Long Yi asked.
"I am waiting for the day when my mission arrives," the rumbling voice ca again.
"Mission? What mission do you have?" Long Yi asked once more.
"My mission...is...to kill every Giant!"
Boom!
The space around them twisted violently, and at once, Long Yi, Hayden, and Little Seven were transported into an enigmatic space. This space had no fixed shape; it twisted and extended continuously!
"This isn’t the spiritual world, but an actual Subspace!" Little Seven shouted.
"Damn it, a miscalculation, Elma has tricked us!" Long Yi exclaid.
Subspace twisted again, instantly morphing into a huge arena; Long Yi and Little Seven now stood at its center. Suddenly, a ferocious brute roared and charged out; it resembled a headless gorilla made entirely of tal, incredibly sturdy, rampaging around, and surrounded by Divine Power within its body!
Divine Power? To deal with an enemy with Divine Power, one must also use Divine Power!
With a Divine Status within him, Long Yi was unfazed by playing with Divine Power!
Divine Powers collided, Long Yi decisively broke through the opponent’s defense, and, raising the Cosmic Stone Greatsword aloft, he unleashed a powerful destructive wave that slashed down, cleaving the tal headless gorilla in two.
The spectacle was impressive, but the effect seed diocre?
Long Yi was puzzled.
At that mont, more powerful creatures charged out. Like the tal headless gorilla, they were shielded by Divine Power and appeared strong. But once their Divine Power was breached, a simple destruction wave would slice through them without resistance.
Strange!
Another group of such creatures leapt towards him, but this ti Long Yi didn’t use Divine Power and simply slashed down. Astoundingly, the Divine Power did not dissipate, and these powerful beings were still cleaved apart!
This was utter nonsense!
"My Divine Envoy, can we stop playing these pointless little gas? If you’ve got the skill, then show all of what you’ve got. And if you don’t, then hand over your Divine Status obediently and knock off these tedious tricks," Long Yi roared.
"Hehehehahahaha! You want my Divine Status!? Foolish Giant, the more you pursue the path of the gods, the further you stray; you’ve even left the gods themselves behind. And now, you turn around and ask for Divine Status?" The voice of the Divine Envoy bood from around them once more.
"First, I really don’t know what you’re talking about. You seem to regard Divine Status as sothing rather inferior. Second, even if Divine Status is considered inferior, does having a collection of countless precious wines an I must drink them like water to quench my thirst? So, foolish one, just hand over your Divine Status obediently and quit these boring gas," Long Yi said, cautiously observing his surroundings while spreading Divine Power all around, attempting to locate the Divine Envoy.
"What a sha, poor Giant, you probably don’t realize the kind of trap you’re facing. This is a trap specifically designed for lost Giants like you! Here, all your spirit and will shall be worn away to nothing! Every breath you take, every punch you throw, every ounce of power you use here will be absorbed, becoming forces that turn against you. To defeat your own power, you must use even more strength! Until at last, when your power reaches its limit, mine will be infinite and unending!" The Divine Envoy laughed heartily.
"To be honest, I fully believe what you said. I’m sure there’s an amazing trap here. But what puzzles is, is this trap really here? If I truly am in this trap, would you be so kind as to tell ?" Long Yi laughed.
