"Why did you intentionally let him go?" Little Zi asked, She had wanted to kill that leader but was stopped by Long Yi.
"To make them think the scepter is useful," Long Yi said with a smile.
Little Zi imdiately understood that when the leader left, he would surely tell Elma. The scepter had successfully restrained Long Yi, but it was because they had taken control of several people ahead of ti, causing the scepter to break, which allowed Long Yi to escape.
"It’s all calculations," Little Zi said, shaking her head.
"Calculations?" Landers, who had just woken up, looked confusedly at Long Yi and Little Zi, then glanced at the corpses scattered all around from the battle that had just ended. "What just happened?"
"Nothing much, just so uninvited guests," Long Yi said. "Now, do you rember anything?"
Landers was stunned for a mont, then nodded vigorously: "Yes, I suddenly rembered I left my mory on a planet, that planet is... my God, am I insane? It’s that planet?"
"Which planet?" Long Yi pressed.
"Second Hell," Landers said.
"Second Hell?" This term was very unfamiliar, Long Yi had never heard of this place from any person or any book.
"Yes, Second Hell. It was once used by the gods to discard their failed creations, but because it was not large enough, it quickly filled up. So the gods completely sealed it off, abandoned it, and created a new Hell. However, the creatures from Second Hell did not simply disappear; they continued to survive on that planet," Landers explained.
"But why is there no record of it in any historical docunts?"
"Have you been to the Holy Land of the Ancient Mage Tower?" Landers countered with a question.
"I have," Long Yi nodded.
"I have been there too, and it was by accident that I stumbled into it. At that ti, the Ancient Mage Tower wasn’t there, but have you ever heard of the existence of the Holy Land in the books of any nation?"
Long Yi shook his head, then laughed.
Indeed, the Plane was imnsely vast, and the areas that people had explored mostly concentrated around the inhabited planets. It was not even a ten-thousandth of the entire Plane. There were too many secrets hidden within this Plane. Not to ntion anything else, just such a planet—if no one told you that it’s actually Second Hell, a spaceship might pass by it ten thousand tis without noticing.
"Alright, I might be thinking too much. Shall we set off now?" Long Yi was eager for Landers to retrieve his mories; he needed the Reverse Summoning magic.
"No, if we want to go to Second Hell, we need to find soone first. Only that person can help us break the seal of Second Hell," Landers said.
"Who is it?" Long Yi asked.
"Bone King, an Undead who escaped from Second Hell, one of the gods’ failed creations," Landers said.
It was purely by accident that Landers knew Bone King. Landers had always been obsessed with studying summoning magic. At that ti, he hadn’t set his sights on the Giant Beasts of the middle Plane, but was trying to find a powerful being within this Plane to help him in battle. When he passed by a planet shrouded in death, he felt the presence of so powerful entities. So, he attempted to perform a summoning spell and released a contract. Almost imdiately, a being accepted the contract and was summoned forth, and that being was Bone King.
"Bone King told about the events that took place on that planet, those mad lives that had been banished were struggling in the seal, trying to break the shackles of the gods. Therefore, in my lifeti, I’ve always avoided that place as much as possible. I’ve never ntioned it to anyone, and fortunately, no one has ever found it," Landers said.
"Although you’ve lost your mory, you rember these details quite clearly," Long Yi said, sowhat disgruntedly.
"I’m sorry..." Landers said sincerely.
"Fine, if that’s the case, let’s go find him first. Where do we go?" Long Yi asked.
"Actually, I’m not entirely sure where it is, but I can sense its contract."
"Fine, let’s set off imdiately then!"
Bone King was a powerful creature clad in a black exoskeleton and nearly two ters tall, with four sturdy arms, each arm could transform into an individual arcane cannon, firing various spells in rapid succession. It could withstand extrely harsh environnts; it did not require air and could survive for decades without food.
Based on that description, Long Yi conjured an astonishing image of a warrior. With this preconceived impression, Landers led Long Yi to a planet.
And here, Long Yi was all too familiar with.
The Stellar Realm Arena.
A match had just begun, and Long Yi was a person of legend here. When he appeared in the spectator seats, the whole place imdiately erupted with cheers and applause. It was here that Long Yi had journeyed from an unknown individual to the king of the Stellar Realm Arena; it was here that Long Yi began and finished his revenge against those old Mages who had pursued him; and it was here that he had his decisive battle with the ancient Powerhouses.
Now returning here, Long Yi was bound to be treated like a hero coming ho!
The whole audience stood up, cheering and clapping. The warriors below also paused their combat, saluting Long Yi from afar. It must be said, the accomplishnts Long Yi had achieved in the Stellar Realm Arena might remain unmatched for decades or even a century to co.
At this mont, the fighters in the ring were filled with emotions, feeling fortunate that they had joined the Arena after Long Yi had left. If Long Yi were still a combatant now, they feared they would have stood no chance at all.
The comntator at the scene shouted Long Yi’s na, and the central big screen gave Long Yi a huge close-up. But after the cheers subsided, the battle still had to go on.
"The Bone King is here, but the energy here is complex, I can’t sense him precisely," Landers said.
"No worries, we can wait," Long Yi replied.
The competition below continued, one match following another. Before long, an acquaintance of Long Yi’s approached, Hamr Brick.
This Highland Dwarf had a stature beyond average height, nearly as broad as he was tall, and he also possessed the typically hearty temperant of the Dwarves. Since Long Yi had defeated him, he had been pestering Long Yi to share his knowledge—and indeed, after the fact, Long Yi had not been secretive, eventually disclosing the principles of high-frequency induction heating of tals to him.
Then, down below, it was visible that Brick’s hamr suddenly exploded during combat, revealing a helical coil inside! A burst of electrical arcs flashed, and the armor of the warrior trapped by the coil instantly lted into molten iron.
"Learns pretty fast," Long Yi said with a smile.
"He is the Bone King," Landers pointed at Hamr Brick and said.
"What?" Long Yi’s eyes widened in disbelief.
Backstage, after the fight had ended, Brick seed unsettled. As a figure approached him, he looked up and, sure enough, it was Long Yi. He imdiately burst into laughter and moved forward for a hug, but when he saw Landers beside Long Yi, his expression froze.
"Hey, didn’t we agree that we were even?"
Brick said.
"Are you really the Bone King?" Long Yi asked in surprise.
"Ah... follow ," said Brick, carrying his hamr and leading Long Yi, Little Zi, and Landers to his room. As a once-glorious warrior, his room was fairly spacious. He set down his hamr, took off his armor, and then stripped off all his clothes. Long Yi suddenly noticed that there was a seam across Brick’s chest, held together by thick leather thongs. And it seed that sothing important was missing between his legs.
Brick slowly undid the leather thongs at his chest, then grabbed his own head and twisted it. Finally, he slipped off his skin as if it was a piece of clothing.
Four arms, no head, his whole body covered in white bone armor.
"Your disguise is remarkably successful," Long Yi laughed.
"I never thought I’d be found by you one day," the Bone King’s voice emanated from its body.
"I never thought that soone as strong as I could be treated like a piece of clothing, limply laid out on a table." The head of Brick on the table also started to speak!
"What kind of horror show is this?" Little Zi asked, watching Brick being split into two parts.
"Hmm, let explain this one," Brick said.
Originally, Brick had done well enough in the Stellar Realm Arena, but his Dwarven nature made him too trusting. As a result, he was poisoned with a strange toxin before a battle. This led him to lose the fight and also suffer multiple curses during the combat. Lucky for him, he didn’t die on the spot, but to the staff, he might as well have been dead. His body was thrown into the processing plant, where he coincidentally encountered the hiding Bone King. The Bone King was looking for an opportunity to blend into the ordinary world, and the dying Brick had no choice but to accept his proposal, offering his body for the King’s use. In exchange, Brick’s head was kept alive and always maintained vitality.
"This story is indeed quite complicated," Long Yi remarked, looking at the puddle on the table and the headless white creature standing beside it. Clearly, the gods’ sense of aesthetics is in dire need of improvent; such a creature truly lacks beauty.
Of course, Long Yi was just musing in his mind, as, according to both Landers’ description and Brick’s story, the Bone King seed to be a rather kind creature.
"You told before that you wouldn’t co looking for again," the Bone King spoke to Landers, his voice sounding as if soone were trapped in a barrel.
"Yes, this ti I really do need your help," Landers said.
"What matter could make you break your promise?" the Bone King asked.
"I have sealed part of my mory, hidden in the Second Hell. Because of the loss of my mory, I no longer know where the Second Hell is, let alone how to enter it," Landers explained.
"So, you need to help you get to the Second Hell and open the portal to it?" the Bone King asked.
The Bone King was very smart, completely different from the image of those forsaken by the gods that Long Yi had in mind.
"Yes, exactly," Landers said.
