The Master at the forefront forcibly suppressed the fury in his heart, striving for a serene expression on his face, but the bulging veins on his forehead and the bloodshot eyes betrayed his current mood.

"Hahaha! It turns out that even you esteed ones are afraid of death! I thought that with the na of the Ancient Mage Tower, you would fear nothing!" the Emperor laughed heartily.

At this mont, the ten people kneeling within the Array truly felt bitter inside. Not long ago, this Emperor had been ekly following their side, not daring to question their commands, but now the situation was completely reversed. They had to kneel before the Emperor because he held the key that could annihilate them all.

No one wanted to die, and that included those from the Ancient Mage Tower. Within the Tower, they weren’t nobodies, but they weren’t remarkable figures either; they simply held a little more authority. In fact, their living conditions weren’t even as good as the middle class of the Empire; dying for the dignity of the Ancient Mage Tower was sothing they absolutely would not do.

Therefore, although their rage had reached its peak, no one spoke up. They just knelt quietly, waiting for the instant of their liberation, and then they would resolve all the troubles before them once and for all.

"Well then, seeing as I am in such a good mood, let’s just I tell you the truth," the Emperor said, raising his two hands, "Actually, the Runes on my hands are both Destruction Runes, and there’s none that could open the Array!"

Upon hearing this, the ten people inside the Array were dumbfounded.

"Oh? You’re actually surprised! How refreshing. You’re so lacking in so basic common sense," the Emperor shook his head and said.

"Actually, you should’ve known that once I release you, with your characters, you would certainly turn around and kill all of us, even the entire Imperial City, oh no, my entire planet would not be spared. So, it’s not just —anyone might think twice before releasing you. And yet, you still kneel obediently before . Should I call you naïve? Or should I say you are childish?"

Upon hearing the Emperor’s words, so had faces ashen with despair, while others cursed loudly, and so even desperately started to attack the Array, only to be blasted with injuries all over by the magic rebounding from the Array itself.

"See, if you had behaved like proper people from the mont you ca to our Empire, things might not have turned out this way," the Emperor said, while pressing the Runes of his hands onto the Array. Instantly, the entire Array began to shrink, the chaotic flow of Mana bursting uncontrollably in every direction. At first, so were putting up shields trying to block it, but it was not long before they could no longer withstand it.

The Emperor did not watch further but turned to the captain of the Imperial Guard beside him and ordered, "Keep an eye on this place, and then clean it up."

"Yes, Your Majesty!"

The captain of the Imperial Guard had never accepted an order with such fervor, for there was nothing more gratifying than watching the Masters of the Ancient Mage Tower struggling to their deaths before him.

Long Yi had already left the planet; Landers might be hiding in so corner or perhaps had already left. Even if he was simply hiding within the Imperial City, finding him would be like looking for a needle in the ocean; Long Yi could only honestly wait for the next ti he appeared.

The more he thought about it, the angrier Long Yi got. Everything had been going smoothly, finding Landers, acquiring the Reverse Summoning magic, and then everything would imdiately beco as he wished. But it was all ruined by a few brainless fools.

And most importantly, the sole purpose of those brainless fools appearing on those planets was to deal with Long Yi!

Isn’t this nonsense?

In the beginning, Long Yi didn’t have a good solution to the Ancient Mage Tower’s way of controlling other countries. But after he arrived on this planet, he realized that those guys from the Ancient Mage Tower were simply a bunch of pig teammates! Isn’t this just making excuses for oneself?

Long Yi imdiately changed his plan. Since he couldn’t find Landers for the ti being, he might as well ss with the Ancient Mage Tower’s plan!

Long Yi had originally planned to return to the Sanctuary Empire to ask Little Zi for help, but then Xiaodie suddenly woke up.

Riding on a passenger spacecraft, Long Yi had to find a secluded corner to leave the ship and ca to an uninhabited asteroid, where he then released Xiaodie from his personal space.

Long Yi had thought that he would be greeted with a wave of heat, clearly, he had thought too much.

Xiaodie was still the sa old Xiaodie, without any change.

"How do you feel?" Long Yi asked.

"I feel fantastic!" Xiaodie exclaid excitedly.

Long Yi pinched her little cheek and then said, puzzled, "It’s not even hot."

Xiaodie asked with confusion, "Why would it be hot?"

Long Yi logically said, "Because you just ate a star."

Xiaodie looked even more puzzled, "You eat beef every day, but you don’t turn into a cow."

Long Yi slapped himself on the forehead. Indeed, empiricism could be deadly.

"So, is there any good news?" Long Yi looked at Xiaodie’s extrely excited face, sensing that she wanted to show off sothing, and simply asked directly.

"Actually, there’s not much good news. It’s just that I’ve finally found a ans of attack!" Even though Xiaodie added ’that’s all’ to her statent, it didn’t seem that simple to her.

"Co on, show your new ability!" Long Yi said.

"Alright! Watch this! Solar Flare Attack!"

Boom!

A blast of incredibly hot stellar material erupted from Xiaodie’s hands, sweeping across the asteroid beneath her feet. The part of the asteroid that ca into contact with the solar flare was instantly vaporized, and the entire asteroid was cut in two!

"This thod of attack is really quite special!" Long Yi exclaid.

"Right, right! I did the math, and since I have a lot of stellar material, flinging so of it out like that is bound to be incredibly powerful!"

Long Yi nodded silently. He didn’t know how things were in the upper planes, but at least here, a mass of stellar material essentially ant that everything could be scorched.

"However, the pity is that I can’t unleash too much at once now, as it would get out of control. The amount just now was my limit," Xiaodie said, sowhat dissatisfied.

"I think that level is already very strong. If possible, I think you should lower the intensity a bit," Long Yi said.

"Like this?" Xiaodie raised her hand and flicked out a piece of stellar material the size of a walnut. This small mass exploded upon landing on the rock surface, vaporizing the ground and creating a crater ten ters in diater.

"Yeah, like this, or even smaller," Long Yi said.

Then, Xiaodie flicked out a piece of stellar material the size of a peanut. This ti it only blasted a hole about one ter across.

"That’s more like it," Long Yi said.

"Ah, isn’t this too weak?" Xiaodie kept flicking out several peanut-sized pieces of stellar material, blasting the surrounding area into a pitted ss, yet she felt like the force wasn’t big enough.

"Not weak at all. The scale might be small, but nobody can stop it, especially those mages. They might handle magic, but they will never expect that what’s attacking them is purely physical, hahaha!"

Long Yi could almost imagine those mages howling in terror.

Now that he had Xiaodie’s help, Long Yi decided not to waste ti returning to the Sanctuary Empire. After all, if what happened earlier got known by the Ancient Mage Tower, it was very likely that his plan wouldn’t co to fruition, so he rushed straight to the planet he had already chosen.

It was a traditional imperial planet, where the Emperor controlled everything in the nation. However, the arrival of the Ancient Mage Tower stripped the Emperor of all his powers. They disbanded the original army, and the mbers of the Ancient Mage Tower took over everything from politics to economics.

And unsurprisingly, they ruled disastrously. Arbitrarily taxing; capriciously approving or rejecting various applications - these were just the minor issues. Now, they even wanted to mobilize the nation’s craftsn to craft a hundred-ter-tall solid gold statue for the master of the Ancient Mage Tower, Elma!

The craftsn told them it was impossible because pure gold was too soft and too heavy. It’s not just that the entire Empire didn’t have enough materials, even if they did, it wasn’t feasible to make it.

As a result, the masters from the Ancient Mage Tower threw a thunderous rage, thinking the craftsn were deceiving them. So they beheaded one craftsman after another, finally realizing the truth, they followed a suggestion from one of them—to carve it from rock first, and then coat it with a layer of pure gold.

Such incidents were all too common.

The Emperor was angry, the citizens were furious, but no one dared to utter a word of dissent. For anyone who dared to say no had already been killed, even the Emperor himself almost got assassinated!

At this mont, the Emperor was confined to his bedroom and could not go out at will. His loyal subjects conveyed news of the outside world to him by various ans. Not wanting to rush, as soon as he saw the news, the Emperor felt he was being enraged to death.

"These fools!"

The Emperor cursed loudly while reading, but he felt extrely helpless. Although he was the Emperor, the Emperor’s power ca from the military. And now, the Emperor didn’t have a single soldier under his command!

"So, do you want to take back power?"

The Emperor was startled by the sudden voice, only to find that it was Long Yi.

"Long Yi?"

The Emperor couldn’t believe it. The figure who had made such a splash in the world had appeared here?

"I am very honored to be recognized by you at first sight," Long Yi said with a slight bow.

"No, no, no! It’s my honor to see you!" Although the Emperor was unclear about the purpose of Long Yi’s sudden appearance, he instinctively felt that the ti for his turnaround was not far off.

"You’re too polite..." Long Yi continued with the pleasantries.

"So... Mr. Long Yi, this is..." The Emperor didn’t want to waste ti; he had heard of Long Yi’s various deeds and knew that if Long Yi didn’t have a special purpose, he would never run around aimlessly.

"Because it seed to you were quite distressed, and as I was passing by, following my principle of loving to ddle, I ca especially to ask if you need my help?" Long Yi asked with a smile.

The Emperor felt his hair stand on end!

Unexpectedly, I guessed right! (To be continued. If you like this work, welco to Qidian (qidian) to vote for recomndation tickets, monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users please go to m.qidian to read.)
