The three of them talked about past events, and before they knew it, they had arrived at the mall where Isabella Gray wanted to go.
The two of them got out of the car and wandered for a while.
Isabella Gray bought a lot of things for Chloe Grant.
Clothes, quilts, and other daily necessities.
These could have been taken care of by the house staff, but Isabella insisted on buying them herself.
"Since your parents aren’t here, I’m your closest elder. You’re getting married, of course I have to help you handle this."
That’s what Isabella said.
Chloe Grant’s parents were upset because Chloe was getting married without consulting them. The person she was marrying was not soone Mr. Grant was particularly satisfied with, so they didn’t even bother coming back.
This matter was never brought up at ho.
But everyone had a tacit understanding in their hearts and was unwilling to ntion it.
They bought a lot of things, and Isabella had the staff load them into the car, then took Chloe Grant and Michael Taylor out for lunch together.
Just as they were halfway through their al, Mr. Morgan called.
When she hung up the phone, Isabella Gray was still cursing, "Old fool, what’s wrong with having a al by yourself? You just have to make co back!"
Though she was cursing, Isabella’s mouth was curving into a smile, and her eyes were particularly gentle.
She started packing her bag, "Michael, Chloe, you two shop around a bit more, I need to go back and have lunch with the old man."
"Okay, Grandma," Chloe Grant responded.
Michael Taylor nodded, "Aunt, you go ahead. Chloe and I will wander around for a bit."
"Alright."
Michael Taylor and Chloe Grant got along quite well, so there was no awkwardness.
After Isabella left, Michael moved to her seat, sitting a bit closer to Chloe.
"Chloe... there’s sothing I want to tell you, but I don’t know how to say it..." Michael was quite hesitant.
His gaze drifted to the glass window, watching Isabella as she had already gone downstairs and got into the car.
"What’s wrong? Just say it," Chloe Grant replied.
Michael snapped back to reality, sighed deeply, hesitated for a while, and beca annoyed with himself.
He finally blurted out, "Didn’t I tell you that my family doesn’t agree with being with my boyfriend? But my boyfriend’s career is about to take off, yet my parents can’t wait. If I don’t have a successful blind date with soone from the Morgan family, I’ll be forced to marry a nobleman’s son whom I despise.
After so things happened, didn’t I pretend to be in a relationship with Lucas?"
"Yes," Chloe Grant nodded.
"Do you know Loren’s bodyguard...?"
"Gale Koch?"
A vision of Gale Koch’s androgynous face imdiately flashed in Chloe Grant’s mind.
Very handso.
Michael nodded heavily, "Yes!"
"What about him?" Chloe Grant raised an eyebrow.
She recalled the ti when Lily was pestering Lucas Morgan, and Gale Koch appeared, confidently issuing a warning.
Chloe Grant seed to have already guessed what Michael wanted to say, but she still waited for him.
Michael sighed deeply, looking despondent, "A few days ago, my aunt invited over for dinner.
Then, while I was strolling in the garden, he suddenly appeared and dragged to the side..."
Michael recalled the scene.
He had yanked her over, pressing her body against the wall, looking at the formidable Gale Koch in front of her, she was greatly startled.
And Michael’s seat happened to be a blind spot.
Whether from inside the house or the garden, unless soone passed by, it couldn’t be seen.
At that mont, Gale Koch’s expression was very cold, his gaze sharp, carrying an intimidating aura.
Michael was a bit scared!
