"Okay."

Matthew Morgan responded, and the mont he held her in his arms again, his eyes were red.

"Chloe..."

He softly called her na, lowered his head, and kissed Chloe Grant’s forehead.

"Actually, I really like it when he calls Chloe.

Only he would call that.

His voice is particularly pleasant, sotis low and slightly hoarse. Every ti he calls my na, his voice is especially gentle, making feel completely captivated."

"Tell , why? Why can’t you just love properly? You said we’ve finally understood each other after our misplaced feelings, so why... can’t we love each other properly?"

"I’m sorry." Matthew Morgan closed his eyes and held Chloe Grant particularly tight, "This is sothing I owe, and I must repay it. I never wanted to repay it at the cost of hurting you.

Chloe, just wait for a bit longer, okay?"

"I’m not afraid of waiting for you... I can wait for you... Matthew Morgan, I really can wait for you."

"But..."

"You’re hurting so much that I just can’t keep waiting for you."

"Matthew Morgan, why do you want to hurt like this? But even so, I still can’t forget you... Why?

It’s so unfair, really unfair!"

...

Chloe Grant felt like she had a dream.

A very long, long dream.

In the dream, she and Matthew Morgan embraced for an entire night, saying many, many things.

He said, I’m sorry.

He said, wait for a little longer.

He said, Chloe, I love you.

A lot, a lot.

Chloe Grant sat on the bed, staring at the sunset outside the window.

She had slept in a daze the whole day, and even now awake, she still couldn’t shake off the dream.

The dream was so beautiful.

It had his embrace, his soft whispers.

Chloe Grant lay down again, pulling the quilt up and closing her eyes.

She wanted to return to that dream.

With his embrace and gentleness.

...

Morgan Group.

Ralph Koch had a grave expression, and from the lobby on the first floor of Morgan Group, he made his way all the way to the executive office on the top floor.

Because he frequently visited, no one stopped him.

Yet, seeing his murderous expression, people still felt a bit uneasy.

Before Ralph Koch stord into the executive office, the secretary quickly reported the situation.

Matthew Morgan replied simply, "It’s fine, let him in."

After hanging up the phone, Matthew Morgan threw the pen onto the table.

He had been sitting in this office all day but hadn’t done a single bit of work.

A bunch of people downstairs were waiting for his orders, yet he couldn’t make any decisions.

Every ti he closed his eyes, all he saw was Chloe Grant’s image.

Matthew Morgan felt heartbroken.

He even questioned himself, "Did I really make a mistake?"

As Matthew Morgan was reflecting, Ralph Koch kicked the door open.

He quickened his steps towards Matthew Morgan’s office, slamd his hands on the table, and leaned towards Matthew Morgan, "That silly girl Chloe is now going to marry Jacob Lee; how far are you going to push her?"

"I know! Back then, Thea Yates, to save you, sacrificed almost half her body for you, leading to her permanent inability to have children! Is that why you want to sacrifice Chloe, your own happiness, to repay this debt?"

"Moreover, Loren is simply not Thea Yates..."

"Bang!"

Matthew Morgan slamd his hand on the table, abruptly interrupting Ralph Koch from saying any more!
