Chloe Grant stared at the ssage for a while, then at the ti on her phone.
There was still an hour left until the end of lunch break.
She decided to go.
Chloe said to herself in her mind.
Without hesitation, she stood up, grabbed her coat, and went downstairs with her phone.
As soon as Chloe stepped out of the company building, she saw Jacob standing across the street.
When he saw Chloe co out, he imdiately crossed the road and walked towards her.
Jacob no longer had a cast on, although he seed normal, Chloe still noticed the stiffness in his arm.
Obviously, the injury wasn’t fully healed yet.
Of course, that shot from Matthew Morgan was no joke.
"I thought you wouldn’t want to see anymore." Jacob stood in front of Chloe, smiling with relief.
"I haven’t eaten yet, do you mind if we talk while having a al?" Chloe tried to sound as normal as possible.
Jacob nodded imdiately, "Of course, it’s my pleasure to treat you to a al."
"No need to look far, let’s just go to the Western restaurant ahead," Chloe said, taking the lead.
Jacob was quite surprised, but followed beside Chloe.
After a while, he couldn’t help but speak, "It’s the first ti I’ve seen you not being picky."
"What?"
Jacob replied, "I an, you used to be quite selective with food, and you don’t like the hassle, you also don’t like wasting a al on sothing that doesn’t taste good. So you would always choose carefully. This is the first ti I’ve seen you make such a casual decision."
As the person involved, Chloe hadn’t noticed that about herself, although she’s a big foodie, she’s very particular.
She wouldn’t go to less known or untried restaurants.
Soone like Ralph Koch initially took her to places she hadn’t been, and she was reluctant.
But after trying a few tis, she found that Ralph always took her to great places. That’s why Chloe ca to trust him.
So, whenever she ate with Ralph, she was happy.
Moreover, she had so quirks.
For example, if fruits with skins weren’t prepared well, or if they weren’t washed, she’d rather not eat them.
Of course, this quirk was a bit due to her laziness.
It’s sothing Lucas Morgan and Matthew Morgan indulged in her.
"Work has gotten busy, so I don’t mind anymore," Chloe simply answered.
The two had arrived at the restaurant.
They were past the lunch rush, and custors were gradually leaving, so the place wasn’t particularly crowded.
Chloe and Jacob asked for a window seat.
Chloe ordered sothing quick and filling.
Jacob was very surprised and didn’t say much more, just urged the waiter to serve the food quickly.
The food ca quickly, and Chloe picked up her chopsticks and started eating.
Even though Jacob had said he wanted to discuss sothing, he didn’t start speaking.
Instead, he just watched Chloe eating a plate of fried rice and a sandwich.
When Chloe finished her al, she looked up at Jacob, "My lunch break is almost over, if you don’t speak up, I’m leaving."
She put down her napkin and glanced at the ti on her phone.
There were only thirty minutes left before she had to return.
Jacob wasn’t in a hurry to speak, he just kept staring at Chloe.
Probably after almost a minute, he softly said, "Chloe, let’s get married, shall we?"
