Although Isabella Gray felt very sorry that Chloe Grant had exhausted herself with work and didn’t pay attention to resting,

if Chloe Grant truly achieved outstanding results at work, Isabella would still feel happy and proud of her.

Though technically Isabella is Chloe Grant’s grandmother, their relationship is more like that of mother and daughter.

"Grandma, I’m so hungry," Chloe whined.

Isabella led her inside, "I prepared sothing a while ago. Today, apart from your grandpa and , there’s no one else at ho. I don’t care, you have to stay and keep us old folks company."

"The term ’old folks’... isn’t very nice, is it?"

Chloe sneaked a glance at Mr. Morgan, who was coming down the stairs.

He was obviously dissatisfied with Isabella’s choice of words, but... despite his serious expression, he didn’t seem intent on scolding or criticizing Isabella.

Instead, even though Chloe tried to subtly suggest it, she got a glare from Mr. Morgan.

Chloe looked innocent.

She was just trying to politely remind them... yet she sohow ended up feeling like a third wheel in their affectionate exchange.

Isabella didn’t notice these details and led Chloe over to the dining room to eat. "Thea Yates took Loren on a little trip to the countryside. As for your two uncles, if I don’t call them, who knows if they’d co back."

Isabella mumbled and explained to Chloe, and added a complaint about those two rascally kids.

The three of them sat down at the dining table, and the servants began to serve dinner.

"In the past, it was just the old man and in the house. We found it quite peaceful. But now, why does it suddenly feel a bit lonely?"

Isabella murmured as she cast a glance at the seat next to her.

It was Loren’s dedicated spot when he ca over.

Loren was particularly close to Isabella; he always wanted to sit next to her and have her feed him.

Isabella was delighted to do so.

"Little kids, when they first arrive, they seem noisy and lively, and when they suddenly leave, it feels lonely," Mr. Morgan shared his thoughts.

He placed so food into Isabella’s bowl, "Don’t think too much about it. Anyway, the two of them are getting married soon, so by then..."

"Bang... Crash!"

Mr. Morgan hadn’t finished speaking when Chloe’s chopsticks fell, and then her hand shook, causing the bowl to shatter on the ground.

Chloe blinked in realization and was about to squat down, but Isabella stopped her.

"Just sit there and let soone clean it up. It’s all broken pieces; you tend to be clumsy, what if you get hurt?"

Isabella knew Chloe well.

The nearby servants had already started cleaning at a fast pace, picking up the shattered bowl and chopsticks Chloe dropped.

And imdiately replaced them with a new set for Chloe.

Chloe was a bit flustered and took quite a while to calm her emotions.

But in her mind, she kept replaying what Mr. Morgan had just said: "Anyway, the two of them are getting married..."

The two of them?

Matthew Morgan and... Thea Yates?

"Grandma, is Uncle Morgan getting married to Loren’s mom?" Chloe suddenly reached out and grabbed Isabella’s wrist.

She wanted to adjust her emotions, to be so calm and composed, as if she had rely heard that a relative was getting married.

But...

Calm, my foot!

To her, news like this was practically a bombshell, leaving her so bewildered and at a loss for words, how could she possibly stay calm?
