Chloe Grant turned her head, directly giving Ralph Koch a glare, "Who said I was looking for him? I’m packing up to go ho."

As she spoke, she started packing up the tent.

"Even if you pack, it’s useless. Without Matthew, none of us can return today," Ralph Koch said as he helped Chloe Grant pack the tent.

"What do you an?" Chloe Grant asked further.

Ralph Koch shrugged, "What I an is, the daily bus to go back has already left, and now the car keys are with Matthew. Only if he drives can we go back."

Chloe Grant: ...

"It’s already that early?"

Just as Chloe Grant was muttering, Matthew Morgan ca out of the store carrying a bowl of noodles.

He had been dressing very simply these past couple of days.

Beach shorts, a black T-shirt, a very down-to-earth style. Now, carrying a bowl of noodles out, he seed like the most ordinary person in the world.

Unfortunately, he was Matthew Morgan.

Grandpa Morgan of the imperial city, how could he be ordinary?

Even if he seed very down-to-earth now, he still appeared like a god descended to earth, untouched by the mundane world.

While Chloe Grant was deep in thought, Matthew Morgan already ca over, placing the bowl of noodles on the table.

He set up the chopsticks and turned to Chloe Grant, "Eat the noodles first, they won’t taste good if they get mushy."

"I... I’m going to wash up."

Chloe Grant turned and ran.

She ran a few steps, then returned, took toiletries from her bag, and ran down again.

...

It was already 7 PM when the three returned to the city.

The sky was dark.

Matthew Morgan drove the car into the villa.

There was a car parked in front of Chloe Grant’s house, with a person standing in front, smoking.

Seeing Matthew Morgan drive in, that person stood up straight.

"Jacob Lee?"

As the car stopped, Chloe Grant recognized him.

Matthew Morgan frowned.

Just as Chloe Grant was about to get out, Matthew Morgan reached out and grabbed her wrist.

Chloe Grant was sitting in the passenger seat.

Before, she had originally hidden in the back seat, but Ralph Koch had kicked her into the passenger seat, making it easier for Matthew Morgan to grab her now.

"I told you, don’t get close to him." Matthew Morgan’s tone was sowhat helpless, "If you’re trying to spite , you can be with anyone else, but not him.

Chloe, I’m very serious when talking to you."

"I’m also listening very seriously," Chloe Grant suddenly smiled, adjusted her posture, and looked at Matthew Morgan, "Then please explain to why I shouldn’t get close to him?"

Matthew Morgan fell silent.

Chloe Grant smiled.

She knew, asking Matthew Morgan to explain was tantamount to killing him.

But it was just a few simple words, yet he refused to tell her anything.

No matter if they were together or apart now.

To Chloe Grant, Matthew Morgan’s refusal to explain anything made her feel like she was always excluded from his world.

Chloe Grant struggled to free herself from Matthew Morgan’s hold.

She wanted to get out, but Matthew Morgan locked the car door.

Chloe Grant turned back angrily, "Matthew Morgan!"

"Stay in the car."

He beca tyrannical at the slightest disagreent.

He locked her inside the car, got out himself, and closed the door.

Ralph Koch, sitting in the back seat, very consciously pretended to be invisible.

Chloe Grant tried opening the door several tis but couldn’t get out, turning angrily, "Open the door!"

"The key’s with Matthew, I can’t get out either," Ralph Koch felt very innocent.

However, just as Chloe Grant was about to speak, there was noise from outside the car...

Chloe Grant quickly turned back, seeing, at that mont, Matthew Morgan punching Jacob Lee in the face, causing the latter to stagger back several steps but eventually losing balance and falling to the ground.
