Lucas was stunned for a mont.

The streetlight was behind him, casting a glow on his face.

After a while, Lucas suddenly laughed and shook his head, "I... gave up a long ti ago."

The words that followed were spoken very softly.

"From the mont you cried and told you missed him, I knew that ultimately, there was no fate between us. It’s my fault too..."

How things go wrong for no apparent reason, leaving one helpless.

"If you were wrong, I was wrong too," Chloe Grant had tears in her eyes, "I was wrong to mistake him for you, earnestly falling for him. Actually... truly... in the end, I really didn’t know who the person in my heart was?"

"My heart yearned for you... but I couldn’t forget him..."

As Chloe Grant spoke, tears uncontrollably rolled down, she shook her head and took a big gulp of beer.

The moonlight, the heartbreak, the forgetfulness, the beer... it all made for quite a scene.

Chloe Grant tossed the empty bottle aside, wiping her mouth, "But... I’m telling you, saying these things now is useless.

Right now, I’m very sure that, when I’m with him, I am the happiest and most at ease, I feel like I’m embraced by the whole world. No matter if it’s windy or rainy in the future, or stormy, as long as he holds , I feel at peace, I feel happy. But..."

She suddenly started crying, whining, "He doesn’t want anymore..."

Then she angrily slamd the table, "That shaless bastard. He even said I couldn’t find anyone better than him, said I couldn’t leave him! Hah! I’ll find soone better than him, then be together, then get married, and then I’ll watch him regret it!"

The thought itself was satisfying!

At this mont, Chloe Grant truly imagined the scene, her wearing a wedding dress, holding another man’s hand, and him attending as a senior family mber, watching her, his face full of regret...

"By then I will definitely..." Chloe Grant shouted with full montum, but couldn’t manage to say anything else.

It’s as if the air had gone out of her.

She too dejectedly lay down on the table, muttering, "By then, just one look from him, and I’d want to go with him."

Chloe might have thought she was being worthless, so after saying it, she banged her head on the small table several tis.

Afterward, only the headache remained, lifting her head groggily, she cried out, "Uncle Morgan... it hurts."

Tearfully acting spoiled.

However...

Such a scene pierced Lucas’s heart with pain.

He knew very well, she never called him that way.

"Uncle Morgan" was a unique way she addressed him.

Just like everyone called Chloe Grant "Chloe", but only Matthew Morgan insisted on calling her "Chloe".

From the very start, it seed that they had beco special to each other this way.

"You’re not Uncle Morgan..."

Chloe Grant muttered and laid down again, "My Uncle Morgan... beca soone else’s husband, soone else’s father... that little child, very cute, clings to him. He likes him so much..."

"He likes children, why didn’t he say so earlier! I can have children too!"

"That’s right, I can have children!"

Chloe Grant suddenly sat up excitedly, staring seriously at Lucas, "I can have kids, kids even more adorable and lovable than Cloudy, right!"

Chloe Grant was entirely speaking drunkenly now.

She probably didn’t even know what she was saying.

But...

The words seed to express her inner thoughts genuinely.

As they say, drunken words are sober thoughts, this must be what it ans.

Lucas didn’t attempt to stop her, just quietly accompanied her...
