"I’m taking you out to dinner now."
Matthew Morgan didn’t hesitate for even a second, directly rejecting Chloe Grant’s request.
Chloe Grant’s face imdiately turned cold, "I don’t need it, I can go by myself..."
"I’ll take you to eat, then bring you back, and finally I’ll leave, okay?"
He gently held her hand, which was frantically waving around, and calmly negotiated.
Chloe hesitated.
She wished Matthew Morgan would just fly back ho and lie down properly, doing nothing at all.
"Then if you get the crew’s issues settled, I’ll take three days off and go with you."
Chloe also negotiated with him.
Matthew laughed and tapped Chloe on the nose, "You certainly haven’t forgotten about this."
"If this keeps getting delayed, it won’t be good for Molly Polis."
In front of Matthew, Chloe spoke directly, "The director seems to take this seriously, also because he knows Molly is on good terms with the deputy director, so this task was given to Molly in the morning, and she has to complete it within three days."
The relationship between the deputy director and Molly... it’s hard to say.
Chloe didn’t want Molly to owe the deputy director anything.
"So, this isn’t for yourself, but for soone else?" Matthew raised an eyebrow.
Chloe shook her head, "If it’s successful, the director said Molly would have complete control over the voice acting for the crew. And Molly made it clear that if I participate in this, I’d have half the authority.
Which ans, by then, whichever role I want to voice, or whom I want to voice it, I have the final say."
"And then you won’t let Lily Grant and Fu... your forr best friend voice it?"
"That wouldn’t happen. I’ll have them handle the important roles." Chloe shook her head.
Matthew beca interested.
He let Chloe sit in the car first, buckled her seatbelt, and then circled around to the driver’s seat.
"And you don’t plan to give their ntor any roles?" Matthew completely understood Chloe’s plan.
Chloe was a bit surprised, "How did you know?"
Then she shook her head, "I suddenly think, not giving those two major anchors any roles wouldn’t do. Maybe I could have them handle so supporting roles, just right... those supporting roles have scenes with Lily Grant and Sophia Fraser..."
As Chloe spoke, a mischievous smile spread across her face, "By then it’ll be really fun! The ntor turned out to be less important than the student... hehe, with Lily Grant’s personality, she’ll definitely be proud, holding her head high.
But, the voice acting for the script will end soday, and by then if she offends her ntor who’s supporting her, will she still have good days ahead?"
Chloe just thinking about that scene felt secretly delighted.
So she didn’t hide it and laughed craftily.
While driving, Matthew glanced at her, squinting his eyes.
After Chloe finished talking, he reached over and ruffled her hair, saying only, "Spend less ti hanging around with Ralph Koch."
She hadn’t learned anything else, but she’d got that crafty deanor down to a tee.
"Hmm?"
Chloe expressed confusion at Matthew’s words, "Isn’t he good friends with you? Also, Grandma treats him like half a son."
"Can’t lump them together." Matthew focused on driving.
This ti of day should usually have a bit of traffic, but surprisingly, there wasn’t, so they reached the destination quickly.
It was a noodle shop.
Matthew got out, went around deliberately, and opened the car door for Chloe, placing his hand protectively on the top of the door fra.
"What did you an earlier, why can’t they be lumped together? Is Ralph Koch up to sothing again, plotting against this princess?"
