Chloe Grant looked at Matthew Morgan, wanting the first answer.
But she watched as the smile on Matthew Morgan’s face grew deeper and a bit mischievous...
That kind of charm was quite alluring.
Chloe Grant found herself a bit dumbfounded...
She always knew that her Uncle Morgan was a rare gem—stunning at first glance, and the more you looked, the more you got captivated. He was a truly rare handso man in the world.
However, her previous impression of Matthew Morgan only involved terms like cold, serious, and terrifying.
She never associated him with words like alluring, captivating, or enchanting.
She really felt that from today on, she should get to know this man better.
"Uncle Morgan, you wanted to complete it, so I could be valued in the company and seen as exceptionally capable, right?"
Chloe Grant seed to suddenly understand, her eyes lighting up.
Matthew Morgan was still smiling, leaned in, and said close to her, "What you’re thinking..." His smile suddenly vanished, "is really beautiful."
After speaking, he reached out and pinched her nose.
Chloe Grant covered it with her hand in pain, "Isn’t that the case though..."
"Did you do this deliberately for so other girl?"
"So, you gave the green hat?" Chloe Grant suddenly squinted, stood on her toes, as if trying to invade him like Matthew Morgan always did, to put pressure on him!
However...
The idea was beautiful, but reality was harsh!
Because Chloe Grant wasn’t tall enough, nor did she have enough presence, the whole action looked quite ridiculous.
Matthew Morgan slightly leaned forward again, ca over and pinned her against the door.
"I held back intentionally to see if you, my girl, could coax into a good mood."
Chloe Grant suddenly recalled, when she called Matthew Morgan about this matter, he said sothing similar.
"Are you this childish?"
After holding back for a long ti, Chloe Grant squeezed out this sentence.
Matthew Morgan shrugged, released Chloe Grant from his hold, walked to the sofa, sat down, looked back at her, "So... show what you got."
Chloe Grant felt like she needed so ti to properly sort this out.
So...
Going around in circles, causing unrest throughout the company, was actually just because he wanted... her to make him happy?
So...
"Actually, from the start, this collaboration was all arranged by you, wasn’t it?" Chloe Grant was a bit despairing.
"Smart."
She felt that her Uncle Morgan was being such a childish ghost.
Nothing like his usual self.
Chloe Grant looked completely defeated.
"Co over," Matthew Morgan beckoned.
"No, I won’t!"
"So, you never planned on making happy..."
"Uncle Morgan!"
Just as she spoke, Chloe Grant quickly ran over, grabbing the orange from the table, holding it in both hands, and offered it to Matthew Morgan, "Uncle Morgan, have an orange."
"With the peel and bits?"
"I’ll peel it!"
Chloe Grant began peeling right after she said this.
It’s been years since she last peeled an orange.
She hated handling fruit, and every ti Lucas or Matthew Morgan would peel it for her, otherwise she wouldn’t eat it.
So now, peeling was quite a chore.
Halfway through, Matthew Morgan had already taken over, efficiently handling it, then splitting it open and feeding it to her.
"Really sweet."
Chloe Grant shifted slightly.
Matthew Morgan spread his hand, resting his arm on the back of the chair, and Chloe Grant naturally half-lay into his arms, eating and speaking, "Uncle Morgan, if you didn’t nod, would this matter always be delayed? What if the people at the station stopped doing it?"
"They signed a contract; not doing it ans they pay a penalty."
"You’re really a bully!" Chloe Grant pouted.
