"Lucas, I’m giving you ten seconds to slow down."

Like soone on the run, Lucas seed to regain his senses and slowed down as he made a turn.
Chloe let out a sigh of relief.
Matthew Morgan had already hung up the call.
"What happened just now? Why do you seem like you’ve seen a ghost?" Chloe turned and expressed her concern.
Lucas licked his lips, "A ghost would have been less scary."
He mumbled sothing else afterward, but Chloe didn’t catch it.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing."
Chloe just looked at him, finding it all very strange.
