Ralph Koch said a long string of words, then looked at Matthew Morgan expectantly.
The response, naturally, was Matthew Morgan’s icy cold face that could freeze a man to death, his gaze sharp, throwing out a sentence, "Not interested."
He shrugged his shoulders, pushed Ralph Koch aside, and walked around the car back.
Ralph Koch was dissatisfied, "I’m very serious! Why don’t you seriously consider it? It’s really creative, and this way..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Matthew Morgan had already driven away.
Completely ignoring him.
Ralph Koch watched the car drive off into the distance, dropping his joking deanor, his gaze deepening significantly.

"Whatever happened, was my own choice. You don’t need to burden yourself with shackles. Nor need to talk about compensation or making up for anything, I want none of that."
Matthew Morgan was usually silent, so it was extrely rare for him to say such a long paragraph.
Chloe Grant was taken aback.
Not just because he hardly ever spoke so much.
But also because of Matthew Morgan’s words.
So, he felt that from yesterday till today, her constant approach was an act of guilt-driven compensation for what he did in the past?
Or perhaps, she rely had sothing to ask of him?
"That’s not it..." Chloe Grant shook her head, "It’s not like that..."
Why couldn’t he think...her approach was to get closer to his heart...
Why couldn’t he think, her approach was simply an attempt to truly understand him.
She wanted to know, the person who made such sacrifices for her, the one who stirred the chords of her heart, the one who made her lose the idea of being with Lucas Morgan...what kind of heart was hidden beneath that cold, reticent exterior?
