Ralph Koch crouched down, reaching out to gently wipe away Chloe Grant’s tears.

"Don’t be so sad..."

He wanted to comfort her, but realized... he didn’t really know how to comfort soone.

At that mont, he couldn’t even think of a word to say.

In the end, Ralph just crouched beside Chloe, watching her cry...

Passersby would occasionally look at Chloe for a mont longer, and Ralph would glare at them fiercely, scaring them away.

When he gets angry, he’s always quite intimidating.

Chloe didn’t know how long she had been crying, she just found that eventually, there were no more tears...

After that, she just stared blankly at the ground.

In her mind, the words Matthew Morgan had said earlier kept playing over and over in her ears.

"He actually doesn’t really like ... does he?"

She murmured softly.

"Actually... he and I were just another missed opportunity, right?"

Ralph gently helped Chloe up.

She had been squatting for so long that her legs were completely numb.

Ralph almost took all her body weight onto himself, becoming a human crutch for Chloe.

After a while, Chloe felt a bit better, softly pushing Ralph away, walking forward on her own.

She brushed through her slightly ssy mid-length hair.

It had been two years, and the hair she shaved off for surgery had already grown out.

Of course, to grow it out so quickly, Chloe had constantly been searching online for ho redies to promote hair growth.

Trying this here, experinting with that there, it kind of worked.

Ralph sighed and walked over to her.

"Have you ever thought... maybe you can be a little braver?" Ralph hesitated and said the words.

It was a rare mont.

He’s not soone who hesitates to speak, but this was one of those few tis.

"Brave?" Chloe stopped, looking at Ralph with confusion.

He t her gaze, "About your own feelings, be a little braver."

"For example, you could take the initiative to find Matthew Morgan. You can tell him that for the past two years, you’ve been hoping he would co back. For instance... right now, you are heartbroken, heartbroken for him."

Chloe listened to Ralph’s words, and after several seconds, suddenly let out a chuckle.

"He said himself, he doesn’t really like that much, why should I go find him?" Chloe found it ridiculous.

"Can’t you tell what words are genuine and what are said in emotion?" Ralph frowned.

Chloe shook her head directly, denying his words, "Matthew Morgan never says things out of emotion."

"That’s because you’ve never truly understood him." Ralph replied with a serious expression, "You’ve always judged him based on your own perception.

You think he’s invincible, strong-willed, calm, indifferent, impervious... but Chloe, your understanding is very superficial."

As Ralph spoke, his emotions grew agitated.

He subconsciously moved closer to Chloe, who in turn retreated...

He said, "You’ve never truly known him. He is more human, more emotional, more loyal than anyone, he is more than anyone..."

Ralph paused, taking a deep breath, "capable of saying things out of emotion."

By now Chloe had backed up to the wall of the store, seeing Ralph’s slightly angry expression, listening to his words, Chloe couldn’t respond, nor could she refute them.
