Lily Grant was about to head to Chloe Grant’s room, but out of the corner of her eye, she saw Matthew Morgan coming from the room at the end of the hallway.
Lily’s heart trembled slightly, and she quickly turned around and went downstairs.
As she was heading downstairs, Matthew had already approached and pushed open Chloe’s door...
"I said, I don’t want to see you anymore; I also don’t want to..."
Chloe turned around...and her words suddenly got stuck.
She hadn’t expected that the one coming in would be Matthew.
Since Chloe’s body had gradually recovered, she and Matthew hadn’t spoken much and had less contact.
The main reason was...
There was always an indescribable awkwardness between them.
Chloe would avoid him.
"Uncle... Uncle Morgan." She quickly lowered her head.

"It’s fine now, it’s already healed," Chloe responded, instinctively moving a bit further aside.
Initially, Matthew walked over to stand next to her, but now, because of Chloe’s movent, there was quite a distance between them.
After a mont of silence between the two, Chloe finally stood up, "It seems like Grandma called ... I should head down."
She finished speaking and quickly headed outside.
As if Matthew was so sort of monster, and she needed to quickly get away.
In truth...
In her world, wasn’t he just a fearso monster?
A mocking curve ford on Matthew’s lips.
He raised his right hand...
Before, when she had amnesia, she was upset for a long ti because he wouldn’t take the initiative to hold her hand and guide her.
But now...
Now she only tries hard to escape from him.

Chloe went downstairs to avoid Matthew, just as Isabella Gray was about to call her up.
"Just in ti, co, drink this bowl of herbal dicine," Isabella said, pulling Chloe along.
Chloe’s brow imdiately furrowed, "Grandma, how much longer do I have to drink this herbal dicine?"
It’s too bitter, and too disgusting!
Every ti, Chloe had to pinch her nose just to barely get it down.
"You need to continue for another month. You’ve had two car accidents in a row, and your body is severely injured; you must take good care of yourself, or else you’ll have lingering health issues. Don’t feel it’s bitter now; once your body heals, you’ll be thankful for these herbal dicines."
Isabella lectured her, "When it cos to nurturing the body, traditional dicine is more reliable. It’s slow, but slowly penetrates the body and repairs it."
Chloe wanted to cry.
She really didn’t want to drink it.
Previously, she tried to dispose of it secretly, only to be caught by Isabella, and ever since, Isabella had been watching her drink each ti.
Chloe looked miserable, pleading for relief from Isabella to no avail, and could only pinch her nose and pour it into her mouth.
As she drank, Matthew had already co downstairs, placed two pieces of hawthorn on the table, and then turned to walk toward the living room.
Once Chloe finished drinking, she placed the empty bowl on the table, quickly grabbed the hawthorn and popped it into her mouth, chewing several tis until the taste of the hawthorn overpowered the herbal dicine. Only then did she breathe a sigh of relief.
Finally...
"Look at your exaggerated expression." Isabella handed the empty bowl to a nearby servant, a bit amused and exasperated.
