"Miss, may I ask what you need?"
Chloe Grant was stopped by the front desk as soon as she entered the Morgan Group lobby.
"I’m looking for Jas Heady... the assistant to the CEO," Chloe answered simply.
The receptionist’s expression turned a bit awkward upon hearing this.
"Miss, do you have an appointnt?"
"No."
She had only texted Jas Heady last night to arrange this; nothing more was said.
"I’m sorry, miss, but without an appointnt, you can’t see him just like that," the receptionist politely refused and muttered under her breath, "Another Cinderella."
Chloe heard her muttering and didn’t react, just said directly, "I can wait for him in the lobby."
"I’m sorry, but the Morgan Group as a Fortune 500 company, and the top enterprise in the imperial city, can’t just let anyone in, or our lobby would be overrun."
The receptionist’s words were no longer as polite, pointing to the door, signaling Chloe to leave.
"I’m really here to see soone! He’ll be down soon!" Chloe explained seriously to the receptionist.
The receptionist’s face showed no more pretense of politeness, and she said directly, "Miss, if you don’t leave, I’ll have to call security."
"Standing here is damaging the Morgan Group’s image, making people think the Morgan Group is low, you understand?"
Ending her words, the receptionist rolled her eyes, "Wasting my ti."
Chloe was so angry she laughed.
Just as she was about to retort, soone shouted, "Mr. Morgan is back."

Chloe’s first reaction was to hide, she looked around, the only place to hide was behind the receptionist’s desk.
In a rush, she directly propped herself over the desk and jumped inside!

"Security, co to the front desk imdiately!" she dialed the phone directly!
