The second-ranked Immortal Ling from the Flower List arrived on the scene, naturally drawing the attention of many heavenly prodigies, each believing themselves to be unparalleled talents of the Immortal Realm.
Their status and positions were all extraordinary.
They were veritable children of heaven.
If it were in the past, Immortal Ling would surely have greeted them with a smile, but now her gaze was fixed on searching for Lin Fan’s whereabouts.
Since he had co to participate in the Hundred Prodigies Gathering,
it was inevitable that he would appear at the scene. However, given his identity, he would certainly not appear openly, likely hiding in so corner or disguising himself.
Her assumptions were correct; searching this way was destined to be fruitless.
"Immortal Ling, I wonder what you might be looking for. If you tell , I would gladly assist," a young man asked warmly. His features were handso, exuding an air of elegance. The surrounding heavenly prodigies, upon seeing him, appeared sowhat intimidated and refrained from speaking.
Clearly, his status and position surpassed theirs.
Otherwise, who wouldn’t seize the opportunity to interact with the Immortal Ling?
Immortal Ling smiled and replied, "Thank you for your kind offer, Saint Fu, but I’m rely looking around casually."
Saint Fu smiled, then glanced around. He naturally did not believe that Immortal Ling was rely idly looking around; she was surely searching for soone. He activated his divine eyes to search for soone unusual. However, among the attendees, most were already familiar faces. He truly found no one particularly extraordinary.
The Hundred Prodigies Gathering had officially begun.
It was, in essence, a competition among the heavenly prodigies of the Immortal Realm.
Of course,
many attendees were simply there to observe, knowing full well the gap between their strength and that of others. If they stepped onto the arena, they would surely et a miserable end.
At this mont,
the War King was indeed growing restless. In the past, he wouldn’t have dared step onto the stage, but now, with his strength enhanced, a chance encounter, and a Supre Treasure in his possession, he had begun to harbor ambitions.
He wanted to display his prowess among the nurous heavenly prodigies.
Seeing a familiar prodigy on the stage putting on airs, he could no longer stand it. "I, the War King, possess a top-tier Immortal Body and have yet to show my full potential. Yet you dare flaunt yourself? Let teach you a lesson."
With that, he floated up toward the arena.
"I’m here," the War King’s voice bood like thunder. Activating his Fighting Immortal Body, a boundless fighting spirit surged wildly, sweeping across the entire arena. His enhanced strength bore down on his opponent with overwhelming pressure.
Wang Jun, his ever-loyal henchman, naturally shouted his praises at the top of his lungs.
Countless eyes were drawn to the War King, followed by hushed discussions.
"Who would’ve thought the War King seems to grow stronger the more he fights? I heard he was once defeated consecutively, even by that wastrel Qin Yang of the Qin Family. I thought he’d spiral into despair, but who’d imagine his strength would improve? He even encountered opportunities—he’s indeed remarkable."
"Hmph, that’s just luck. Possessing a Fighting Immortal Body yet ending up so pitiful—during ancient tis, every owner of a Fighting Immortal Body was an awe-inspiring presence."
"True, it seems his fortune is a bit lacking."
To these observers, the War King was not deed worth taking seriously, even though their own strength was likely no greater than his.
His history of consecutive defeats
had tarnished his reputation,
leading many to underestimate him.
Soon enough, a battle ensued. The War King’s strength had indeed grown significantly compared to before. His dense mana overwheld his opponent, leaving them no room to counterattack. With a long roar, the mana fluctuations he emitted could kill an ordinary Immortal outright.
There was no doubt—he had beco stronger. The War King’s will, once crushed by Lin Fan, was now burning brightly once more.
For one who possessed a Fighting Immortal Body, losing their fighting spirit would render them utterly useless. Only by possessing unyielding resolve and a fiery battle intent could the body’s true potential be fully unleashed.
"Not bad. It seems that every owner of a top-tier Immortal Body, even if they montarily falter, eventually has a chance to recover. Is this the principle ’breaking before rebuilding’?" Lin Fan, hidden in a corner, observed the scene unfolding before him.
The War King hadn’t revealed his full strength; he was still holding back.
All of a sudden,
Lin Fan looked into the distant void and noticed a figure silently appearing, exuding no hint of presence or disturbance.
The surrounding heavenly prodigies remained oblivious.
"The Left Immortal!"
Spotting the figure, Lin Fan noted that the Left Immortal’s cultivation had beco exceptionally refined. His aura was restrained, his sharpness concealed, clearly indicative of having reached an extraordinary level of mastery. To Lin Fan’s surprise, the Left Immortal had made such significant progress in such a short ti.
Of course,
from Lin Fan’s perspective, such progress was modest.
At least when compared to himself.
"Who would’ve thought this guy would show up as well?"
It seed their earlier absence was solely because they hadn’t yet arrived. Only when the gathering truly began did they make their appearance.
Normal individuals would struggle to perceive any ripples.
The void split apart
as yet another figure gracefully erged from within.
The Heavenly Court Young Emperor had arrived as well.
His arrival was equally understated, causing no commotion. Clearly, he did not wish to announce his presence and, like the Left Immortal, stood silently to the side, observing the happenings on the arena.
It could be said that those capable of detecting their presence, aside from Lin Fan,
included only the elder who had appeared earlier.
Soon after,
he found a good spot, grabbed so peanuts and a bit of wine, and leisurely began watching the duels.
As events progressed,
more and more heavenly prodigies stepped forward.
All of them were formidable, notable prodigies, not weaklings. Their fierce battles, with immortal techniques and divine skills on full display, were utterly dazzling. And from this, he discerned that so of the ancient powers might indeed possess extraordinary strength.
Their lineages were imnsely profound.
He had already seen three individuals wield divine skills of the Heavenly Dao level.
Though these divine skills had not yet reached a truly advanced state of mastery and could only be considered at the foundational level, their re execution was already astonishing.
At this ti,
on the arena,
the central figure turned out to be Saint Fu, who had been standing beside Immortal Ling earlier. He suppressed the War King and looked contemptuously at the other prodigies. However, losing the match didn’t leave the War King feeling dejected in the slightest.
He rely felt dissatisfied.
He knew of Saint Fu’s capabilities; he couldn’t defeat him in the past, let alone now.
Still, he harbored deep apprehension toward his opponent’s strength.
Indeed, it seed unfathomable.
While he himself had improved, so had others. This disparity was evident.
"Is there any fellow Daoist daring enough to face in combat?" Saint Fu stood arrogantly on the arena, looking around. His gaze seed to pierce like divine radiance, sweeping over each heavenly prodigy present.
So prodigies, feeling the invasive intensity of his gaze,
instinctively lowered their heads.
Too powerful.
"I will."
Lin Fan drained the last of his wine, stepped onto the arena with a single stride, and smiled as he faced the undeniably handso Saint Fu before him.
"Oh? And who might you be?" Saint Fu squinted his eyes, as though surprised that soone would voluntarily challenge him. He had anticipated the arrival of the Heavenly Court Young Emperor, but instead, a naless figure erged.
Lin Fan replied, "Defeat you, and I’ll tell you. Let’s leave you a bit of mystery for now."
"Ha, brazen! I like it," Saint Fu exclaid, taken aback by the audacity of this newcor.
anwhile, the Left Immortal and the Heavenly Court Young Emperor each displayed a look of astonishnt.
That voice was familiar.
And so was the aura.
