"What?"

Wang Jun was utterly stunned. To grab the War King’s wrist with bare hands—who exactly was this person?

Qin Yang let out a sigh of relief.

The oppressing pressure on him instantly disappeared.

Monts ago, he genuinely thought he was about to make a disgraceful spectacle of himself.

My dear Brother Lin, I owe you big ti. If it weren’t for you, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

"War King, what do you think you’re doing? This is my brother, Lin Fan. If you randomly attack like this, aren’t you worried about inciting discord between two Immortal Venerable Families?"

Qin Yang was always soone eager to seize any opportunity to elevate himself.

Then, he quietly transmitted his voice to Lin Fan.

"Brother Lin, maybe that’s enough. This War King has terrifying strength; he’s not easy to deal with."

But what he hadn’t anticipated was...

The atmosphere on the scene suddenly seed off, heavy and oppressive. Lin Fan and the War King were locked in a stare, their gazes clashing. No, not sparks—what collided was an aura of power.

"Interesting... I didn’t expect Qin Yang to have such a friend. Do you know the fate of those who dared grab my wrist?" The War King’s voice was calm, yet it reverberated like thunder at their ears.

"Tall, big, and beefy, with an air of naivety—thinking you’ve got a decent temperant, only to bully my friend. How does it feel?" Lin Fan retorted.

The War King’s face showed a smile briefly, but it disappeared swiftly. Suddenly, his arm began to resonate at low frequencies, seemingly deploying so kind of restrained Divine Skill. Faint golden light rippled on his arm.

Lin Fan remained unmoved.

The War King’s aura was indeed formidable, his presence terrifying. For Qin Yang to clash head-on with him would be a suicidal move.

A smile tugged at Lin Fan’s lips. Light began to glow in his palm as he gripped the War King’s wrist. Though he couldn’t fully utilize the Demon Crossing Scripture, he could manifest a portion of its imnse power.

"This..."

Feeling the surge of energy, the War King’s heart shuddered violently, overtaken by a sense of irresistible force washing over him.

It didn’t last long.

*Snap!*

The War King broke free, stumbling backward and landing heavily on the ground, beads of sweat trickling from his forehead as his breaths ca in large gasps and shock filled his eyes.

"Are you alright?"

Lin Fan asked, his deanor entirely nonchalant, as though the earlier clash had absolutely nothing to do with him.

Qin Yang was already stupefied. It was incredible, everything happened so fast he could barely process it. He seized the mont hastily and quipped, "Oh my, War King, what’s the matter here? Facing my Brother Lin, there’s no need for such dramatics. Sitting on the ground like that doesn’t quite suit your image, does it?"

Dream Fairy was stunned.

She knew better than anyone the true extent of the War King’s strength.

But she hadn’t expected him to suffer such a loss at this man’s hands.

Just how powerful was this person?

"Who are you?"

The War King’s expression turned grave as he stared at Lin Fan. Though no earth-shaking battle had occurred, he had indisputably lost in the face of an overwhelming force. That power had unsettled him deeply.

Lin Fan didn’t answer, but Qin Yang interjected, "This is my Brother Lin. War King, though you are a prodigy of an Immortal Venerable Family, you should know—there will always be soone stronger, and a higher sky above yours. You’ve run amok unrestrained for so long, do you genuinely believe no one can keep you in check?"

"Contrarily, my Brother Lin is fully capable of suppressing you."

"Ah, outstanding individuals will always befriend other outstanding individuals, whereas the likes of you and Wang Jun? Let’s not talk too much about your caliber, shall we?"

Arrogance.

Pure, unabashed arrogance.

The War King glared coldly at Qin Yang. "If you don’t want to die, I suggest you shut your mouth right now."

He was truly enraged by Qin Yang’s words.

Damn it.

This annoying fool seized the mont of his embarrassnt to attack without reserve. If he got a chance, he’d make sure Qin Yang suffered.

"Die?"

Qin Yang widened his eyes with mock disbelief. "War King, if you’re going to brag, at least do it properly. Here, I’ll stick my head out—go ahead, see if you dare to kill ."

"If you truly kill , not even your Immortal Venerable Family can protect you."

"And your kin will call you a blockhead, an idiot, a reckless fool."

Of course, Qin Yang was fully prepared to hide behind Lin Fan if things went south. If he pushed the War King to the brink and provoked imdiate retaliation, it’d be the end for him.

"Let’s go."

Lin Fan didn’t intend to linger. Taking hold of Qin Yang, he left the area.

The War King stood rooted to the spot, his face twisted in rage. Flas of fury burned in his heart.

To him...

This was utterly unacceptable.

Far away.

Lin Fan said, "Can you settle down for once? You promised not to pick fights. Knowing full well he’s from an Immortal Venerable Family, you still antagonized him. If I hadn’t stepped in, you’d have been finished."

"Ah, Brother Lin, I’m so deeply grateful. If it weren’t for you, this ti I really would’ve suffered public humiliation to the extre. I don’t have a single Immortal Treasure on , so how could I possibly contend with him?" Qin Yang expressed his gratitude, relieved beyond asure. Thank goodness Brother Lin was there, or else... disaster.

Xiang Fei added, "Brother Lin, be cautious. The War King is petty and vindictive. A direct confrontation isn’t as worrying, but underhanded sches are his forte."

He knew very well what kind of person the War King was—exceptionally talented and powerful, yet his character was reprehensible. With this incident, he’d certainly seek retaliation and wouldn’t let it slide.

Lin Fan shrugged, looking resigned. "Just stay far away from him and make sure he can’t find us."

Right now, he needed to stay low-key.

He had no intention of seeking trouble, but trouble always seed to seek him out, relentlessly.

Moreover, Qin Yang wasn’t exactly innocent either—his talent for attracting chaos was unparalleled.

If Lin Fan had all his Immortal Treasures, he wouldn’t have feared anything.

But as of now, this guy didn’t own a single valuable thing. The most precious asset he possessed was himself—claiming to be from an Immortal Venerable Family was practically a joke.

"Brother Lin, let be honest. Their arrival here undoubtedly has a purpose. Otherwise, it’s impossible for three of them to show up at once." Qin Yang whispered.

He had so theories.

It seed like he wanted to uncover so secret, though the bigger motivator likely had to do with wanting to get closer to Dream Fairy.

"You just want to cozy up to your goddess, don’t you?" Lin Fan exposed him.

"That’s absurd! I simply believe there’s treasure here. They’re clearly here for it. Leaving sothing so valuable to them would be a disgrace. Xiang Fei, back up here—it’s obvious that with our strength, suppressing them wouldn’t be a problem. Taking the treasures from them would be a cinch."

For Xiang Fei, Qin Yang’s reasoning seed sound.

Wang Jun, Dream Fairy, War King—they were all prodigies.

Under normal circumstances, it’d be impossible for them to gather in one place.

There had to be a reason.

That’s why they were here.

"Hmm, Brother Qin makes sense. Brother Lin, perhaps you should consider it. We could observe their actions to find out their intentions."

"Besides, they’re heirs to prominent families and possess grand destinies. Following them might yield so gains."

Xiang Fei wasn’t one to hesitate.

What they were dealing with wasn’t so terrifying powerhouse. There was no need to overly fear clashing with them. Even if conflict erupted, they could suppress them and snatch their treasures.

The Immortal Realm worked like that:

The strong claid the treasures. That’s how it was.

"Let’s find a place to rest first," Lin Fan suggested.

anwhile, the War King and the others had also settled into an inn.

But the War King’s expression remained dark.

The flas of anger in his heart had yet to dissipate.

Dream Fairy said, "War King Daoist friend, you’re a prodigy of an Immortal Venerable Family. A montary defeat doesn’t define you. You possess the Fighting Immortal Body—your future is on the path of becoming an Immortal Venerable. Why care about fleeting setbacks?"

"Dream Fairy, my path of invincibility has been severed. My invincible heart shattered—how could I not be furious?" The War King seethed. He was a rare genius from an Immortal Venerable Family. His elders had claid he was a once-in-ten-thousand-years talent, possessing such an immortal physique that no one could obstruct his ascent.

But now, his path had been blocked.

It was a bitter pill he couldn’t swallow.

Dream Fairy said, "The road to invincibility is incredibly arduous. From ancient tis until now, there hasn’t been such a figure. Every Supre existence reaches the peak through countless failures."

"No, those who endured failure and beca Immortal Venerables aren’t my target. While they are Immortal Venerables, they lack an invincible heart. The path I seek is absolute invincibility—to crush all enemies along the way." The War King was stubborn, seemingly incapable of grasping the bigger picture.

Dream Fairy chose not to argue further.

If that was what he believed.

Let him think as he would.

Words were futile.

No amount of explanation could change his mind.

Wang Jun said, "Brother Zhan, don’t dwell on it now. The three of us are gathered here to open the Immortal Emperor’s Treasure Vault. Once we seize the opportunities within, our cultivation levels will undoubtedly skyrocket. After that, who could possibly stand against you?"

The War King held the Immortal Emperor’s Treasure Vault in high regard.

Each of the three had obtained a fragnt of the key. To enter the vault, they had to unite them. Encounters with such treasure vaults were rare, and nobody would willingly give up their fragnt. They had thus converged here to enter together, with treasures awarded by fate and reliant on Heavenly Destiny.

The War King had thoughts brewing.

He had to restore his reputation, but the priority now was the Immortal Emperor’s Treasure Vault. everything else could be set aside temporarily.

In the inn.

Qin Yang had long since left an imprint on the War King. It was a specialized Divine Skill from the Qin Family that allowed him to track the other’s whereabouts. Although he often appeared pitiful after being bullied...

He still had his thods.

From the beginning, Qin Yang had recognized that their gathering here wasn’t random. There was no way all three could have arrived without reason.

The War King’s current abilities weren’t sufficient to detect the imprint.

Lin Fan was bunking with the little girl.

"Little girl, since you’ve chosen to follow , I’ll take responsibility for you. You’re still a mortal, but I’ll teach you a cultivation thod—not Immortal techniques, but Martial Arts. I hope you apply yourself diligently."

He then passed on the Martial Arts technique to the little girl, elevating her Inner Strength to the Innate Realm. As for the path beyond that, she’d need to rely on herself.

Knock, knock!

Qin Yang and Xiang Fei ca knocking.

"Brother Lin, they’ve already made a move. Let’s hurry and follow."
