"Fellow Daoist Lin, do you feel like sothing’s not quite right around here?"
Gong Mo observed the surroundings, a trace of panic rising in his heart.
They had already spent so ti in the Forbidden Land.
Lin Fan had warned him not to touch any strange things they encountered, or they’d invite trouble. He had taken that advice to heart, not even daring to get close to anything suspicious.
"Hmm, we’re now inside the depths of the Forbidden Land. If we still can’t find Ao Wudi, we’ll leave."
He didn’t want to go further in.
The Forbidden Land still gave him an overwhelming sense of danger.
It felt like a massive, dark hand lood above them, waiting for its target to fall into place before striking and crushing it instantly.
Back on the outside, this sense of crisis wasn’t as palpable.
But now, the suffocating feeling of impending danger was overwhelming, as if sothing lurking in the shadows was always watching their every move.
Lin Fan sighed. The situation in the Forbidden Land was far beyond his expectations. They were like headless flies, randomly wandering in the courtyard without a clear goal or direction—just taking one step at a ti.
Suddenly!
The ground trembled violently.
The earth underneath began to quake.
A strange sound echoed from the depths below.
Gong Mo was utterly terrified. The sound almost made him wet himself. He hid behind Lin Fan, trembling, too scared to even move.
Boom!
The ground split open as a massive form surged forth. It looked sowhat like a snake, but its entire body was covered in pitch-black bone spines. It roared, hissing loudly.
"Fellow Daoist, we..." Gong Mo rembered how Lin Fan had managed to negotiate with the Te Snake before. He assud the creatures here might all be open to reason.
But before he could finish his thought, Lin Fan shoved him aside.
"Brother Gong, what are you doing?"
Lin Fan struck the creature with a single palm, forcing it back, then turned to Gong Mo. Facing such a hostile creature and addressing it as "Fellow Daoist"? That was just absurdly bold.
Gong Mo stamred in shock, "I was just trying to reason with it to avoid conflict!"
"Dream on. Things like this won’t listen to reason. Step aside and stay out of the way. Watch how I take it down." Lin Fan acted imdiately, unleashing Divine Skills. The Hell Spear pierced directly through the creature’s body.
Roar~
The terrifying creature’s exterior was incredibly tough, but Lin Fan’s power was no joke. His boundless mana easily shattered its defenses.
An Earth Python.
The creature before them was a legendary existence.
It had no flesh or blood.
Its entire body was covered in razor-sharp, backward-curving spines. While incredibly threatening, its thick, snake-like body gave it exceptional burrowing abilities.

Lin Fan perford another Divine Skill. Instantly, a giant, radiant golden Buddha palm descended from the heavens, slamming the Earth Python back into the depths. With a cracking sound, sothing seed to shatter.
It turned out that the spines on the Earth Python’s body were directly broken by this one strike.
Just as Lin Fan prepared to finish the creature off, he noticed it fleeing at an incredible speed, vanishing into the earth without a trace.
The Earth Python was fuming.
It had initially planned to have a hearty al.
Who would’ve thought it would get beaten to this extent? It was utterly infuriating.
"So fast." Lin Fan didn’t give chase. The Forbidden Land was too dangerous to wander around aimlessly. Staying put was the wiser choice. Never chase a cornered enemy—that was the principle.
Lin Fan had realized sothing.
The creatures they encountered in the Forbidden Land were all, at minimum, in the True Immortal Realm.
What a frightening reality.
Just think about it.
The Forbidden Land had existed for an unknown amount of ti.
Even a pig could grow into a True Immortal Pig here.

That’s a poor taphor; fire-roasted suckling pigs were still pigs, just terrifyingly powerful ones. A better taphor might be that even a fool could beco a Divine Fool.
"Fellow Daoist Lin, we should leave this place. It’s far too dangerous to stay," Gong Mo suggested.
He hadn’t considered how terrifying the Forbidden Land would be when he initially entered. His sole goal was finding Ao Wudi and reporting back.
But after everything he’d been through...
He was ready to abandon that unrealistic ambition.
What was the point of searching anymore?
If he returned empty-handed, at most he’d get beaten up. Anyway, his skin was itching for punishnt, so why should he care?
Lin Fan patted Gong Mo’s shoulder seriously and said, "Brother Gong, your attitude is all wrong. No matter what you do, you should never give up halfway. We’ve co this far—don’t you think giving up now would be a huge regret?"
"Who knows? Maybe just a little more searching will lead us to what we’re looking for."
Gong Mo found Lin Fan’s words incredibly convincing.
He literally had no rebuttal.
Lin Fan wanted to find so treasures in the Forbidden Land, preferably without any unnecessary conflicts.
Ten Divine Ability Fruits would be an excellent gain.
Trading a trace of an unused bloodline for them was a no-loss deal.
He didn’t feel cheated at all.
And the Te Snake didn’t feel like it had been shortchanged either.
Days later.
Lin Fan and Gong Mo ran into trouble. They hadn’t expected to stumble into a damaged Big Array. The array imdiately retaliated, but with Lin Fan’s mana, a broken array stood no chance.
He directly subdued it through brute force.
Gong Mo huddled behind Lin Fan, shivering. From his perspective, he was like a sheep that had wandered into a den of wolves, clueless about when his life could end.

Voices rang out in the distance.
Lin Fan and Gong Mo exchanged glances, their eyes brimming with astonishnt as if they’d just realized sothing unbelievable.

They rushed toward the source of the voices.
What they saw nearly made them choke on their own spit.

Ao Wudi was sitting there, laughing and chatting with a big man. The stone table between them was loaded with various fruits, and attendants stood nearby serving them.
This was the epito of an Immortal’s lifestyle.
"Who dares intrude here?"
The big man’s voice bood like thunder, reverberating in their hearts. Clearly, he hadn’t expected anyone to show up here.
When Ao Wudi saw Lin Fan and Gong Mo, he was montarily stunned but then smiled.
"Brother Xiong, don’t be startled. These two are acquaintances of mine. Allow to introduce you to them later," Ao Wudi said.
Then.
He asked curiously, "What are you two doing here?"
Lin Fan stared at Ao Wudi, montarily at a loss for words—not because he didn’t want to say anything, but because he didn’t know how to even begin.
Gong Mo’s mouth twitched.
He had been so worried that Ao Wudi might be in danger, prompting this desperate search, only to discover... Well, judging by the scene, Ao Wudi was living quite comfortably.
Considering the grueling journey they had endured just to get here, it was hard not to find the whole situation absurd.
"Is this even sothing a person would do?"
If Ao Wudi could hear Gong Mo’s thoughts, he might respond, "You’re right—it’s not sothing a person would do. But I’m a dragon, so what can I say?"
"We ca to find you," Lin Fan sighed. He knew Ao Wudi would be perfectly fine; the dragon was far too good at taking care of himself to fall into any sort of peril.
Just look at Gong Mo’s expressions—it was clear he was feeling quite crushed.
Truly tragic.
"Find ?"
Ao Wudi didn’t fully grasp their reasoning. He was carefree here, totally content. eting Brother Xiong had felt like fate—a eting of kindred spirits.
Lin Fan gave Ao Wudi a knowing look, his eyes practically saying:
"You’re here looking for the Rainbow Mother Dragon, aren’t you? Stop pretending."
You deny it with words.
But your actions betray you completely.
Ao Wudi caught Lin Fan’s suspicious gaze but stubbornly refused to admit anything. How embarrassing would that be?
"Kid, let introduce you. This is Brother Xiong. He resides here in the Forbidden Land and is extraordinarily hospitable. I’ve been spending my days in the Forbidden Land with Brother Xiong—it’s been delightful."
Ao Wudi had co to the Forbidden Land seeking the Rainbow Mother Dragon.
But since the Mother Dragon had no intention of eting him, he hadn’t found her. By chance, he’d t Brother Xiong, and they hit it off imdiately, so much so that he decided to stay for a while.
"Brother Xiong." Lin Fan cupped his fists in greeting.
He scrutinized the large man, whose mana was terrifyingly imnse. His true form was an ancient bear. Even if Lin Fan’s own mana was nearing the 150,000-year mark, he doubted he could defeat this behemoth.

What kind of monsters lived in this Forbidden Land?
Brother Xiong nodded at Lin Fan and smiled. "Since you’re friends of Brother Ao, have a seat."
He then instructed the attendants to prepare chairs for Lin Fan and Gong Mo.
Lin Fan glanced at the attendants.
Neither of them was human, either.
"Senior Ao, you’ve been in the Forbidden Land for quite so ti. Even the Holy Master has sent people out to find you. When are you thinking about heading back?" Lin Fan asked directly.
Gong Mo stood to the side, looking utterly pitiful.
He gazed at Ao Wudi helplessly.
He just hoped Ao Wudi would agree to return with him.
So he could fulfill his mission.
Afterward, what Ao Wudi did wouldn’t be his concern.
"Well... Let’s not discuss that for now. Since you’re here, don’t rush to leave; let’s have a chat first," Ao Wudi said, changing the subject.
What he cared about most was finding the Rainbow Mother Dragon. Besides, his conversations with Brother Xiong had been imnsely enjoyable. He had no intention of leaving anyti soon.
Back in the Ancient Immortal Sacred Land, he’d felt perpetually drowsy, living a life of supre comfort, almost like floating on clouds.
But after leaving...
He’d finally realized.
That kind of life he used to lead had been dreadfully dull.
Of course,
he wouldn’t forget the promises he’d made. He simply intended to stay a bit longer before returning.
Lin Fan didn’t press further.
He could see through Ao Wudi’s thoughts with ease.
As for Gong Mo, he was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief.
As long as they found Ao Wudi, everything else could be worked out. If they had stumbled upon his corpse instead, Gong Mo might’ve exploded on the spot.
For Lin Fan, where Ao Wudi went or what he did didn’t matter in the slightest.
It had absolutely nothing to do with him.
Since coming to the Forbidden Land, Lin Fan had discovered that it was only slightly normal in certain areas.
He was hoping to learn so of the Forbidden Land’s hidden secrets from Brother Xiong. Even if the secrets were terrifying, it wouldn’t matter to Lin Fan. Knowing and getting involved were two entirely separate things.
They were completely unrelated.
"This fruit is truly delicious," Lin Fan remarked, praising the quality of the fruit.
