"Fellow cultivator, let’s talk calmly. My attack on you was not driven by improper motives, but because I know your strength is imnse. Yet, as soone from the younger generation, I couldn’t accept that without testing your abilities."

"Now that I’ve tested it, I understand. Your strength is indeed formidable. I am impressed—truly impressed, to the point of admiration."

The Demon Child coughed up blood, his face pale. From Lin Fan, he felt an intense sense of killing intent. His opponent wanted him dead, and he was unwilling to accept it. After all, he was still young, with a long road ahead. With his status and position, commanding wind and rain with ease, dying here would be far too undeserving.

If he could survive, what did dignity matter?

Now, all the elders had entered the Abyss and didn’t know of his current predicant—a situation akin to crying out to the heavens but receiving no answer, shouting to the earth but being ignored. He had no choice but to rely on himself.

"Really? I always felt like you had deep hostility toward . I didn’t expect you were only probing my strength. Now that you’ve tested it, surely your head must be buzzing, no? Probably not what you expected," Lin Fan said.

The Demon Child nodded repeatedly. "Yes, yes, buzzing—it’s buzzing."

Crack!

Lin Fan stomped down with one foot, shattering the Demon Child’s chest. Organs burst apart and spilled across the ground as a Divine Soul erged from above the head, attempting to flee into the distance to inform the sect of his attack. However, before the Divine Soul could ascend, it was pulled back down.

Innate Qi Grasping Hand.

It was as if Lin Fan controlled the entire heavens and earth within his fingers, leaving the Demon Child’s Divine Soul no chance of escape, trapped within a fixed range, spinning in futile circles.

"How is this possible? Demon Clan Divine Skills—this is Great Divine Power of the Demon Clan!"

The Demon Child scread in a shrill voice, but his Divine Soul suffered devastating blows. With a final explosion, it vanished completely, dissipating into the heavens and earth.

"Indeed, this is the best timing."

Lin Fan was satisfied, glad for his previous decision not to enter the Abyss. Otherwise, where would such a harvest co from?

He then soared into the air, searching for the spot where Mu Dong had fallen.

Mu Dong was impaled by the Hell Spear, dragging his blood-soaked body as he crawled across the ground. Blood gushed out uncontrollably, staining the earth crimson, its heavy scent attracting the attention of nurous demons. Yet, like wounded cals towering over horses, those demons dared not approach him despite their hunger.

"I must leave—I cannot die here!" Mu Dong’s eyes burned with madness. The earlier strike filled him with terror, a force utterly irresistible, with no capability to even block. His Spiritual Armor shattered instantly, leaving him unable to imagine that such a powerful figure could exist among the younger generation.

Crack!

Suddenly, the sound of dead twigs snapping reached his ears.

"So, you’re here. Took a while to find you. To think you dragged your broken body this far—you’ve got quite so spirit." Lin Fan’s face curled into a smile, ready to slay a third young prodigy, his mood jubilant.

Mu Dong heard the voice, his face paled with horror, and he turned his stiff neck to look at Lin Fan. "Fellow Lin, I hold no grudge against you—why push to the brink? If both of us die, my sect will surely investigate thoroughly. Never underestimate the investigative ans of a truly powerful sect."

"They will undoubtedly trace it back to you as the culprit."

"If you let go, I swear I’ll keep your secret and even absolve you of this cri."

From the mont he first saw Lin Fan, his heart burned with eagerness. This was the figure who recently stirred the Three Divine Paths—Immortal, Demon, and Devil—by snatching treasures and shocking the world.

He even prompted two great powers to issue a Killing Order.

If anyone else encountered this person, they would likely seize any chance to kill him. Bearing heavy treasures without the strength to back them up was a fool’s errand—a path to death without reprieve.

Lin Fan stared coldly at his struggling counterpart.

He sighed deeply.

What a pity.

Possessing the Gathering Technique but unwilling to exploit it led only to waste. If Lin Fan had the resolve, the rewards could have been extraordinary, since his Gathering Technique had been honed to the highest level.

Approaching Mu Dong, Lin Fan pulled out the Hell Spear. Under Mu Dong’s terrified gaze, Lin Fan drove the Hell Spear through his Heavenly Spirit Cover, piercing his entire body and annihilating his Divine Soul.

[Acquired Spirit Root: Eighth Grade Fire Spirit Root]

[Acquired Spirit Root: Sixth Grade Demon Spirit Root]

[Acquired Magic: Enchanting Soul Great thod]

[Acquired Great Divine Power: Devil’s Sorrow]

[Acquired Inheritance: Ancient Lamp Elder’s Legacy]

A decent haul.

[Enchanting Soul Great thod (Magic): Invade the target’s Sea of Consciousness and confuse their Divine Soul to turn them into a soulless puppet.]

[Devil’s Sorrow (Great Divine Power): Overwhelming demonic qi reverberates with the heavens and earth, establishing a unique domain where demonic qi condenses into powerful killing techniques. When cultivated to the highest level, it can complent the Buddhist ultimate Great Divine Power, Compassionate Benevolence, forming a dual-realm of Buddha and Demon that enlightens and transforms all living beings.]

[Ancient Lamp Elder’s Legacy: The inheritance of a powerful ancient Demon Path cultivator. Accepting the legacy will create karmic ties with the Ancient Lamp Elder, ultimately leading to their resurrection as a secondary vessel for their spirit.]

"Magic and Great Divine Power are impressive, but this damned inheritance—why couldn’t any of them sacrifice for the greater good?" Lin Fan grumbled to himself.

These inheritances seed enticing at first but revealed their traps later: "You and I are fated—your body is mine now. Shed your mortal shell and find another path." Such introductions to karmic ties were sparse, and Lin Fan had never seen another so clearly defined.

Karma was terrifying.

Karmic law, even more so. Lin Fan doubted he could endure such consequences.

Among his possessions was a treasure map: "Treasure Map of the Living Demon Ancestor." He had never sought it since obtaining it, knowing full well it was a massive trap.

For now, it was better to focus on improving his cultivation instead of chasing divinations. Even if he discovered Supre Divine Power, what good would it do? Did he lack such abilities?

The misery of cultivation paled in comparison to the rush of reaping rewards.

Simultaneously, the current Demon Path Great Divine Power could synergize with Buddhist Great Divine Power, requiring further monitoring of potential Buddhist techniques.

No wonder people said, "One thought leads to Buddha; one thought leads to Demon." The proximity between the two suggested they stemd from the sa origin.

Lin Fan swept up Mu Dong’s belongings, leaving nothing behind, and cremated the corpse—offering a full-service farewell.

The Spirit Stone harvest was disappointing; the two young prodigies together only yielded a paltry ten million Spirit Stones—a pitifully poor sum.

Several Spiritual Artifacts were among the loot, though none were useful to him.

The thought of his current extravagance—turning his nose up at Spiritual Artifacts—caused a pang in his heart. He rembered his master, still struggling, and resolved to visit once his affairs were settled, bringing heartfelt gifts from an affectionate disciple.

Life was odd indeed.

Because Ye Zhen Tian had humiliated his master, Lin Fan originally sought to infiltrate the Taiwu Immortal Sect as an undercover agent.

He never expected to rise so high.

His initial goal was rely to sabotage Ye Zhen Tian.

Yet, life proved strange beyond imagination. Ever since he recognized a parent, his status in the Taiwu Immortal Sect soared, reaching the peak of life—a disorienting twist.

It seed he needed to find the opportunity to avenge his master.

Lin Fan continued searching for demons as the environntal degradation worsened. The trees, suffused with intense demonic qi, transford into demons—hostile entities yielding no rewards yet attacking indiscriminately.

Soon enough.

He encountered several other young prodigies, who, surprisingly, were kind. Unlike the prior three, they didn’t attempt to exploit him despite his fugitive status.

This pleased Lin Fan, though it left him regretful.

Happy to find everyone wasn’t like those three; regretful because their genuine friendliness would make it impossible to strike them down.

As a righteous follower of the Immortal Path, how could he act against his principles of chivalry and justice?

"Fellow Lin, be cautious," one man warned. "Among the group are several prodigies of the Demon Path and Demon Clan. If they encounter you, they’ll likely plot against you. No matter what tempting words they offer to gain your trust, don’t believe them."

Lin Fan cupped his fists. "Rest assured, I’ll be careful and will not fall for their tricks."

Of course, he didn’t tell these amiable cultivators that he’d already stripped those adversaries bare before sending them to reincarnation—a full-service farewell, ensuring that they left the world with nothing, gaining enlightennt at the last mont: "There are always people stronger than you, and heavens above heavens. Walk by a river often, and your shoes will eventually get wet."

The prodigies extended olive branches, inviting Lin Fan to join their demon-slaying group. He declined for the simple reason that traveling with them would make his activities too conspicuous. Besides, his current mana, cultivated over sixty thousand years, would make his participation feel unfair.

Traveling alone was simpler.

After separating from them, Kunyu Mountain’s conditions changed again.

The ground began shaking violently, uprooting many demonic trees. Their exposed roots thrashed wildly, leaving deep scars across the earth.

At such intensity, even the Three God Realm might struggle.

Anyone facing these demonic trees would be bound and drained completely.

"What’s going on?"

Lin Fan was filled with unease. This wasn’t Kunyu Mountain’s second mutation—sothing had clearly happened in the Abyss.

Perhaps so existence had been disturbed.

The power of that half-severed arm was incomprehensibly imnse.

Ordinary True Immortal powers were certainly no match.

"Father, it’s terrifying—so terrifying. Let’s leave quickly!" A deranged elder clung to Lin Fan’s clothes, trembling in fear, eyes filled with dread as if anticipating a horrifying calamity.

"What did you see?" Lin Fan pressed him.

The elder whimpered, "Father, your baby is scared."

Lin Fan wanted to slap himself. Wasn’t this just nonsense?

If the elder explained things clearly, Lin Fan would have suspected the old man had fully regained his sanity—and was staying close only to claim the Supre God Talisman.
