A long roar echoed across the heavens, like a dragon’s hymn, like a tiger’s cry, shaking the earth and mountains.

"Who am I..."

As the words erged, a figure swept out from the Abyss Sea, its terrifying presence like crashing waves, engulfing all directions.

Everyone was horrified. Such overwhelming power was too shocking; elders from various sects were on high alert. The one who ca was no ordinary man — boundless murderous intent rolled like a raging tide.

"Get out of my way. I want to go ho." The wild-haired man saw soone blocking his path, slapped out a palm, and a golden hand roared forth. A Supre Yang Immortal Sect elder scread before being turned into a rain of blood.

Terror!

With a single palm strike, he killed an elder at the Longevity Seventh Level. What kind of cultivation did this man possess? His murderous intent was too horrifying.

Could he be a True Immortal?

The wild-haired man howled as he rushed forward. Wherever he went, turbulence arose, crushing everyone in its path.

Thud!

Thud!

No one could resist him; all were gravely injured.

Eyes wide with terror, everyone stared at him as if they had seen a ghost. Who was this person? No one had ever seen or heard of him before, yet he appeared utterly deranged.

If he wanted to kill them, none would survive.

A True Disciple of the Supre Yang Immortal Sect stared blankly at the scene of his elder being inexplicably slapped to death. His mind froze. Does this guy have a problem? Out of so many people, why is he specifically targeting our elder?

Son of a dog!

If you’ve got guts, don’t run!

He cursed, but of course didn’t an it seriously.

As the Abyss Sea was shattered, two other figures erged.

Lin Fan, now a Golden Core Master, naturally could fly. The feeling of soaring through the heavens was not bad at all! He resolved to continue his cultivation and strive for greater heights.

"He didn’t die."

Ye Zhen Tian glared at Lin Fan, who was alive and well, his mood sour. Why didn’t he perish with the Abyss Sea? Damn fellow.

If anyone wished for Lin Fan’s death the most, it would surely be Ye Zhen Tian.

But alas, he didn’t dare act directly. He could only pin his hopes on others or pray that the heavens send down a Heavenly Tribulation to strike this guy dead.

In the distance...

"How does it feel, breathing fresh air after getting out? Not bad, right? I’ve always believed I’m blessed by fate, that nothing could harm . And since you were with , you’re under my protection. That’s why you’re okay too," Lin Fan said.

ng Qingyao ignored Lin Fan and appeared dazed.

Heaven was mocking her.

If she had known she would escape this soon, she absolutely wouldn’t have done what she did.

Her cleverness had backfired. eting Lin Fan was a lifeti mistake.

Seeing ng Qingyao’s wooden expression, Lin Fan sighed to himself. Forget it. Won were always like this.

"Qingyao, since it’s our first ti for both of us, why don’t we just call it even? Look, I may seem ordinary, but I have countless strengths. Since what’s done is done, we have to accept it, right?" Lin Fan said.

To be honest...

He wasn’t doing this out of covetousness for beauty—he genuinely wanted to save ng Qingyao.

But who the hell could’ve predicted that just after resolving it, the Forbidden Land would collapse? Who’s to bla?

ng Qingyao said coldly, "This matter doesn’t exist. Heaven knows, earth knows, you know, I know, and no one else knows. I don’t want anyone else knowing. If they do, even if I must chase you to the ends of the earth, I won’t spare you."

"Also, don’t call so intimately. There’s nothing between us."

ng Qingyao was a woman with her own ideals. She refused to resign herself to diocrity, holding grand ambitions. If not for being trapped in the Forbidden Land, she’d never have resorted to such asures.

Lin Fan muttered under his breath, claiming there was no intimacy even though they’d already been so... close. How much closer could it possibly get?

"You’re making this hard for . If you end up pregnant, you won’t just raise the child alone, right? Look, I’ve got many good qualities, but my greatest is that I love my children dearly."

He praised himself unabashedly, his words sincere and without an ounce of sha.

They were entirely truthful.

Nothing false about them.

"Such a situation will never exist. If you keep spouting nonsense, I won’t be polite," ng Qingyao snapped, her mood at rock-bottom. Even if an incredible opportunity lay before her now, she might remain unresponsive.

"Alright, alright. Let’s drop it here. I won’t say anything more." Lin Fan didn’t want to push further. He wasn’t a sycophant. Hadn’t he already been blunt? How clingy could he get?

Impossible.

Lin Fan was a man of dignity.

As for whether there might be a child...

He couldn’t say.

Everyone had heard the story of tadpoles finding their mother—after hardships, they finally reunited. So perhaps struggles were perfectly normal.

At the mont...

Lin Fan noticed everyone spitting blood, piqued his curiosity. "What’s going on with all of you? How co you’re in this state?"

"Brother Lin, a madman ran out before you ca out and injured us all severely," Ye Donglai explained, then whispered, "In this Secret Realm, Ye Zhen Tian benefitted the most. He obtained a Dao Artifact."

"With his personality, there’s no chance he’ll stay low-key. He’ll definitely act arrogant in the sect later."

This sneaky guy already seed keen to stir trouble.

Few were willing to side with Ye Donglai, especially within Taiwu Immortal Sect. What outsiders thought, however, was uncertain.

Lin Fan thought of the skeletal figure. It must have been resurrected.

As for why people were calling it crazy...

It was awkward.

That talisman he’d ripped from its head was used to stabilize its Divine Soul and spirit. When Lin Fan tore it off, the figure hadn’t even had ti to react, and much of its soul scattered, leaving its mory fragnted.

Madness was natural.

But looking at things now, Lin Fan felt he had done everyone a favor.

At least the figure had gone mad.

If not, many lives would have been lost.

"Elder, whose Cave Mansion was the Abyss Sea really? Which great power perished here?" Lin Fan asked.

The injured elder shook his head. "I don’t know. It’s existed for too long. Tracing its origin would take us back an unimaginable length of ti. But this great power was unquestionably mighty; otherwise, they wouldn’t have left behind this Cave Mansion."

The elder was deeply unsettled. Who exactly was that mad figure? His strength was unfathomable.

The Supre Yang Immortal Sect elder’s death...

Had already caused an uproar. The Supre Yang Immortal Sect would certainly not take this lying down.

For Lin Fan, what worried him most now was the pair of golden flas in the skeletal figure’s eye sockets—they had stared at him intensely, making his skin crawl. Clearly, he’d been rembered.

He only feared that one day, when the figure rembered who it was, things would get truly awkward.

At this mont, he felt soone’s gaze upon him.

It was Ye Zhen Tian.

Ye Zhen Tian smirked, toying with a palm-sized small cauldron. The cauldron lacked ornate or ancient carvings; its surface was smooth and plain, yet it radiated a profound Dao presence.

Indeed a fine treasure.

No wonder Ye Zhen Tian was so pleased.

After all, for sothing to erge from the Abyss Sea after so long... a Dao Artifact was indeed beyond expectation.

Now Lin Fan understood.

The skeletal figure’s intent.

Every activation had casualties, but never too many—otherwise, the site would draw significant attention as a highly dangerous zone, deterring most from venturing in.

It could only proceed subtly, like fishing, over ti.

For beings of great power, ti no longer held aning. Having fallen long ago, their quest for revival might stretch a thousand or ten thousand years—it was rely a waiting period.

Because Ye Zhen Tian had acquired a Dao Artifact...

True Disciples from other sects glared at him with frustration. They hadn’t expected this guy to persevere and ultimately succeed.

Even worse, he erged accusing them.

Infuriating.

But for these True Disciples, sothing seed off.

The mont the Dao Artifact appeared...

They all felt a surge of fiery energy within.

"Fellow Daoist Lin, let introduce myself again. I am Song Ming from the Immortal Sect. May I invite you to visit our sect soday?" Song Ming had a favorable impression of Lin Fan.

"Sure." Lin Fan replied with a smile, though he solemnly swore never to go adventuring with Song Ming. This coward was useless—at best, he’d pick up leftovers during a Secret Realm expedition.

But one thing stood out.

Song Ming could certainly survive for a long ti. Even if most of the gathered crowd perished, this guy would sohow remain standing.

When Song Ming bid farewell and greeted Lin Fan, Lin Fan felt sowhat happy. It proved he, Lin Fan, was a likable person.

But swiftly...

He overturned that notion.

As Song Ming left him, he scurried over to Ye Donglai, repeating the exact sa introduction, tone, and expressions.

Damn!

No wonder he’s a coward — he networks wide, builds goodwill to ensure his survival.

The elders from various sects said little.

So True Disciples hadn’t erged.

That ant they had died within the Abyss Sea.

Although no one remarked aloud, all were acutely aware.

On the surface, it appeared harmonious. Beneath lay discord. Future explorations into Secret Realms would surely require caution.

Whoever lost a True Disciple would inevitably feel furious. For a Dao Artifact, inner conflict could result in self-slaughter. Moving forward, survival would be a matter of endurance.

The Taiwu Immortal Sect elder spoke little and promptly led his disciples away.

The danger here still lingered.

The maddened mysterious figure was terrifying; no one knew its origins or if it might return to slaughter again. Against such power, who among them could withstand?

So True Disciples left with discontent.

After battling within the Secret Realm, they ca out empty-handed—everything had been for soone else’s gain.

Ye Zhen Tian had beco the focal point of attention.

Perhaps for a long ti to co.

But to Ye Zhen Tian, he feared nothing. A man of great fortune was naturally envied.

While everyone believed Ye Zhen Tian was the greatest winner of this expedition...

No one suspected...

That the talisman Lin Fan had taken from the skeletal figure’s forehead was the true treasure. Perhaps, even for the skeletal figure, this was an invaluable gem.

[Supre God Talisman: A talisman born of the Immortal Realm and its cosmos, forged through countless battles and cast down to the Lower Realm, now in damaged condition. It can suppress all under heaven and earth, freezing Divine Souls eternally.]

The description might be brief.

But one shouldn’t underestimate it.

Lin Fan dared not show it to anyone. This item was too terrifying and extraordinarily powerful. At his current level of cultivation, even in its damaged state, he couldn’t likely unleash even one ten-thousandth of its strength.
