Chapter 92: Chapter 92: Kissed for a Long Ti

Aunt Ma is none other than Dr. Ma’s wife, who often makes milk tea and local snacks for Dr. Ma to bring over for Su ixi to eat.

Dr. Ma was a bit surprised and asked, “Do you really like the milk tea she makes?”

“If I like it, I like it. Can there be a fake?” Su ixi couldn’t help but laugh.

Dr. Ma also laughed, “Our local milk tea is different from what is sold in the county. It’s not as sweet and has a salty taste. The young man who ca to teach here before didn’t like it, and tourists don’t usually like it either. I thought you were just being kind, deceiving us.”

Su ixi shook her head quickly, “No, no, I really like it. I also want to learn how to make it so I can make it for my husband.”

The milk tea Aunt Ma makes includes so puffed rice and salt added. It might taste unpleasant at first, but once you’ve had it once, the unique flavor is unforgettable and addictive; Su ixi felt Gu Wei would definitely like it.

...

So, when the health clinic closed for the day, she drove Dr. Ma ho and took the opportunity to learn how to make the milk tea.

Aunt Ma was a very simple and diligent local woman who was also very enthusiastic. When she learned that Su ixi wanted to learn how to make milk tea, she imdiately agreed to teach her.

She took out sheep’s milk and so locally produced black tea, and then she roasted so rice.

The process was extrely complicated.

But Su ixi was very attentive to the details.

She wasn’t afraid of complicated processes. After all, she had a pile of small appliances bought from Zhou Yuan at ho. If she didn’t know how to puff rice, then she could just pop it in the air fryer; that would be good enough.

While Aunt Ma was teaching Su ixi how to make milk tea, she also inquired about Su ixi’s dangerous encounter.

Aunt Ma said, “You are a young girl out on your own; you really have to be careful. I don’t know what the health bureau was thinking. They used to send n over; this ti, they sent a girl.”

Su ixi asked, “Do n not encounter danger?”

“They can, but it’s a once-in-several decades’ event.”

Then Su ixi laughed, “Then I’m lucky, to have encountered what happens once in several decades.”

Dr. Ma laughed along from the side.

As the milk tea was simring, Aunt Ma suddenly clutched her abdon, appearing to be in unbearable pain.

Seeing this, Dr. Ma quickly stepped forward and asked, “Is it hurting again?”

“Yes, the sa old problem.”

Su ixi saw Aunt Ma sweat from the pain.

She involuntarily went over to help Aunt Ma. “What’s wrong?”

Dr. Ma let out a sigh, “She often has stomach pain, and it’s been hurting for a long ti.”

Dr. Ma’s house was a modest red brick building, but inside they used the most energy-efficient lights, which were not clear from a distance. Only now, up close, did Su ixi realize that Aunt Ma’s complexion was sallow.

She couldn’t help but take Aunt Ma’s pulse.

After examining her, and looking at Aunt Ma’s eyes, she said, “Dr. Ma, Aunt Ma might have a liver problem.”

Dr. Ma said, “I have the sa feeling, she’s been taking liver dicine recently.”

“Have you had a lab test done?”

“Our health clinic can’t do that level of testing.”

“What about going to the county city?”

“It might not reveal anything,” said Dr. Ma.

Su ixi sternly said, “Dr. Ma, you have treated so many illnesses for the people of Wu Bian Town, going through snow-capped mountains and crossing rivers whenever there’s a need. How can you not take your wife’s condition seriously? I think you should take Aunt Ma to the county city for a thorough check-up. In pain like this, I’m afraid…”

She didn’t dare to articulate her own speculation, rely saying, “Just afraid that a small ailnt might develop into a serious illness.”

Seeing how serious Su ixi was, Dr. Ma had no choice but to agree, saying they would go the day after tomorrow.

Carrying a pot of milk tea, Su ixi drove to the military base.

Gu Wei had arranged for her to have a military family mber card; she could now co and go freely.

However, her range of movent was limited to the military family compound.

“Mrs. Major, are you here to see the Major?” The gate guard had beco familiar with her and let her through with a simple registration.

“Is he in?”

“He’s out on patrol, not sure when he’ll be back.”

Su ixi went to wait for him in his dormitory.

Gu Wei had a single room, not very large, but it was tidily kept.

The blanket was folded into a block as neat as tofu; all the items on the table were arranged in orderly precision, their stern placent almost daunting.

She didn’t even dare to lie on his bed, fearing that the tofu-like block would collapse and she’d be punished.

She had been waiting here for half an hour when Gu Wei returned.

He ca in hurriedly, taking large strides. Seeing her, he imdiately went to embrace her.

And she did not refuse but instead returned his embrace.

After hugging for a while, he attempted to find her lips, but she dodged away, “Gu Wei, I brought you milk tea.”

“Where did you get the milk tea?” Gu Wei asked.

“Of course, I made it myself.”

“Really?” There was a playful disbelief in his eyes.

Su ixi handed him his thermos, “You should try a sip first, see if it’s good or not.”

Gu Wei carefully took a sip because it was too hot.

“It’s the local milk tea,” he said.

“Aunt Ma taught how to make it. Even though she did most of the work, I’ve learned how to do it. Next ti, you’ll be able to have so made entirely by my own hands.”

Gu Wei was clearly delighted, wrapping his arms around her slender waist, “I have such a virtuous wife. I must have saved the universe in my last life.”

“Your words are so sweet?”

“How would you know if you haven’t tasted them?” Gu Wei asked.

Then he presented his lips to her, inviting her to kiss him.

Su ixi, feeling shy, turned away, “Stop it.”

“Well, let taste yours, then,” he said, and leaned in to kiss her.

She didn’t dodge, because there was no escape anyway, and simply let him kiss her.

After kissing for a while, Gu Wei couldn’t contain himself.

He held her, walking toward the bed, his hand sneaking under his shirt.

But Su ixi was exceptionally clear-headed at that mont.

This was a military camp, a military camp, and she shouldn’t be doing this here.

Especially as she opened her eyes and could still see the slogans on the wall.

“Gu Wei, Gu Wei…” she wriggled free from him, saying shyly, “Not here, not here.”

“Why not here?” Gu Wei asked softly.

“We’ll get punished.”

Gu Wei couldn’t help but laugh.

At that mont, the sounds of training exercises resounded from outside. Da Liu bellowed, “One, two, one, one two three four…halt!”

They still had to train before they could rest.

This made Su ixi feel even more that they shouldn’t be fooling around with matters of n and won here. She shyly lowered her head, brushing her bangs aside, and then whispered, “Next ti.”

Gu Wei had no choice but to respect her wishes.

But he kissed her for a long ti before finally stopping.

The next day, Su ixi went on another dical visit.

This ti, Gu Wei ca with her as her escort.

Today, a little girl had swallowed sothing by accident. Over the phone, Su ixi had instructed the girl’s family to use the Heimlich maneuver to expel the foreign object.

By the ti they arrived, the little girl was already fine.

So, Su ixi could return ho.

It was spring, and the grass at the foot of the mountain was lush, adorned with wildflowers, and there were cattle and sheep grazing.

Su ixi realized that she had been here for so long yet had never truly experienced the spring, so she stopped the car and walked onto the grassland.

Seeing this, Gu Wei also got out of the car and followed her.
