Chapter 45: Chapter 45: A Night of Wild Revelry
“Handling matters? But I was just talking to you, can’t you…” Mrs. Qi hadn’t finished her sentence when several n in black appeared by the riverbank.
The n in black were escorting soone with a covered head.
One of them walked up to Gu Wei, “Boss, this person wanted to take over our territory!”
Gu Wei was icy cold all over, his voice chilling, sending shivers down one’s spine.
“To try and take my stuff, the price is hefty—throw him into the river to feed the fish.”
“Yes, boss!”
The hooded man begged continuously, “Boss Gu, please spare , I’ll never try to take your territory again, including all of yours.”
Gu Wei was unmoved, “It’s too late, throw him.”
The n in black picked up the hooded figure and threw him forcefully into the river; after a few splashes, he disappeared without a trace.
Witnessing the scene, Mrs. Qi was so frightened that she collapsed on the ground, and then, a puddle of yellow liquid flowed out from underneath her. She couldn’t utter a single word.
Ah Xi’s boyfriend turned out to be a ruthless triad who killed without blinking an eye!
It was terrifying!
It seed that it was only then Gu Wei rembered her, and he approached, “Auntie, what were you just saying to ?”
“Nothing, I didn’t say anything.”
“Didn’t you just say you wanted to leave Ah Xi, to let her be with your son?”
“No, my son isn’t worthy of Ah Xi, we don’t want that, we can’t afford it!”
“Shall I take you ho?”
“No need, I’ll go back on my own.”
“Alright, then take care, Auntie.”
With that, Gu Wei turned and walked away with the n.
Mrs. Qi glanced at the rushing river water. Once Gu Wei was far enough away, she crawled and rolled her way to the road, hailed a car, and hurried back to the hospital.

The first thing Mrs. Qi did was to find Qi Anran.
“Anran, it’s terrible! Ah Xi’s boyfriend, he’s a murderer, he… he killed soone.”
Qi Anran naturally didn’t believe it; although he wasn’t close to Gu Wei, he knew Gu Wei wasn’t likely to be a murderer.
“Mom, what nonsense are you talking?”
“Should we call the police? I saw him kill soone with my own eyes.”
“When did you see him kill soone?”
“Just half an hour ago.”
“What exactly happened?” Qi Anran asked.
Mrs. Qi explained the whole story.
Qi Anran, slling the strong urine scent coming from his mother, was beyond frustrated, “Mom, you’ve been fooled, they were just putting on a show for you.”
“But, I saw the body sinking.”
“A dead body will float up; that’s common knowledge.”
“There are many that don’t float up, why else are many drowning victims never found?”
“Mom, I have to go, I’m at work.” Qi Anran was particularly disgusted with his own mother.
“So, we don’t need to call the police?”
“No!”
“What about Ah Xi…”
Qi Anran outright scared her, “They’ve already warned you, if you don’t take the hint, next ti it will be for real.”
Mrs. Qi was still very scared.
Between her daughter-in-law and her own life, she decisively chose the latter.
She packed her things and returned to the countryside that very day.

Stirring his coffee, Gu Wei replied, “When on missions in the army, I had to act quite frequently. After enough practice, the acting skills improved. If I entered show business, winning an award wouldn’t be a problem.”
“I heard that old lady has already gone back to the countryside, she probably won’t bother Ah Xi anymore.”
“That’s good,” Gu Wei took a sip of his coffee.
“Called yesterday, Grandpa said you two are getting along well, but you need to talk to your mom.”
“I haven’t figured out how to put it yet, mainly because I haven’t figured out what’s on Ah Xi’s mind.”
“Is she still being hot and cold with you?”
Gu Wei nodded.

Su ixi didn’t believe Gu Wei was such a person, she always emphasized, “My boyfriend is very gentle, very polite to the elderly and children. Could sothing have happened to Mrs. Qi on her way back?”
Anyway, Qi Anran didn’t say, and nobody else knew what exactly happened.
But Mrs. Qi had already left the hospital to go ho.

Han Ningzhen scoffed, then called Li Pingping.
Li Pingping heard it was to go to a nightclub and was scared to co, Han Ningzhen said to them, “Couldn’t find anyone, no choice.”
The two guys then started hitting on another girl in the bar.
Perhaps because the two n were wearing Rolexes, the girl quickly agreed to co play with them.
They left the bar, went to a nearby room, played dice, and whoever lost had to drink and strip.
Han Ningzhen was good at dice, but as ti passed, the four of them ended up with no clothes.
What followed just happened naturally.
