Strangely enough, the drama initially looked clichéd about mother-in-law issues but it was quite close to real life, and the actors perford well, so Su ixi actually continued watching it.
There were several mothers-in-law in the drama, so dominant, so weak, and so pretending to be weak but actually manipulative.
There was one particularly like Wang Bing’s mother-in-law, very good at playing pitiful, always crying when things happened, often frustrating the daughter-in-law incredibly, yet the daughter-in-law could do nothing about her.
